The story is really intriguing and keeps you interested but I didn’t like the heroine, Rebecca’s character. I felt like she transferred her affections too easily based on who had the most power and wealth. I liked Callum and most especially adored reading about his wolf, Waya. I also loved Maggie and wish she gets her own story in the future. This is book three of No ordinary hero series and can be read as a standalone book.

* I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review*

When Ian announces his engagement to Rebecca Callum realizes that he wanted her for himself. His brother banishes Callum and he goes to America now 10 years later he is returning to Scotland, his brother dead. The attraction between Callum and Rebecca is steal steaming and they must work together to get justice for Ian. Can they? This is a fast paced read with plenty of drama and suspense. I liked the story as well as the characters. The story is entertaining and held my interest throughout.

Callum tends to have a wild side, “I’m generally more composed than that,” he finally murmured. She kissed his chest..." I loved that Callum would tease his woman:
A delicious grin danced across his mouth. “I reckon I know ye better than that. But it did take three tries to get ye into that fine dress.”
She glanced down at the soft gray and black muslin. “Because you kept taking it off me.”
I liked this book, I fell in loved with Callum.

Callum and Rebecca are childhood friends until Callum is sent away. After an absence of ten years, he returns to Scotland for revenge and the love of Rebecca. I adored the characters. I loved that the author made Rebecca such a strong woman who could hold her own against Callum. I plan to read some of the other novels in this series. Great historical romance! Thanks to St. Martins Publishing for an ARC of this novel via Net Galley.

Callum McCreath could be called a devil- a sexy Scottish devil! His adventures take him to the colonies and back, as he matures into a man with real responsibilities, not the least of which is catching a killer and keeping his loved ones safe.
Captivating plot and likable characters make this a well tuned tale.

Callum leaves Scotland when his brother marries his childhood friend and learns that his feelings were deeper than friendship. He returns to find his brother dead and the feelings from past for Rebecca are not gone. Good storyline to keep the reader turning pages.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

After ten years Callum has finally returned home. Things have changed and his revenge towards his enemies has grown. He will stop at nothing to take what he wants since they conspired against his family. Rekindling his love with his childhood friend Rebecca he will make up all the time he has lost. A never ending ride of lost, love, and betrayal. Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were well developed and I loved Mags and her pack so much! I hope to see a book in the future with Mags as the heroine. She would have a grand adventure. I always hope to find books where I sigh at the end because it is over and I did that with this book. Thanks for a great read!

What a enjoyable read! Well written storyline that’s full of mystery, suspense, danger and a second chance love story. Wonderful characters. Callum is swoon worthy. Yum! Becca is smart and strong. Mags is the cutest. Good villains too. Ending was a little abrupt. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC thanks to NetGalley.

The plots of Suzanne Enoch always bring something more than what is perceived on the surface.
At first we have the story of a young man - 20 years old - who lives his life fully, without thinking too much about the consequences.
Until his brother announces his engagement to someone Callum was interested in.
Callum tries to convince Rebecca to marry him, but this is witnessed by others and creates confusion, resulting in Callum's banishment from the clan.

He goes to America and there creates an empire of whiskey, as good Scotch he was.

Ten years later, Rebecca finds herself a widow, but Callum does not immediately appear, since he had cut off any contact with his brother and destroyed all his letters.
Until he learns of his brother death, but something there did not seem right.

Callum returned to claim his share of the inheritance, but deep down something mysterious was about to be discovered.

Callum and Rebecca meet again, now with no hindrance to being together, but would it be the whole truth?

A great story but with some obscure points, and I did not feel any connection with the female character.

Callum returns to the Highlands to avenge his brother's death where he reconnects with his childhood friend (and brother's widow). I loved sassy Rebecca and her adorable daughter Margaret and the chemistry between Rebecca and Callum.

This story set in the Highlands of Scotland is both a story of second chances at love as well as one of personal redemption. I enjoyed the tale and found it to be an easy read. I received an arc for my honest opinion.

This was a great second chance romance. Loved the chemistry in between the characters. It took a little bit for me to get into, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

ARC provided by NetGalley.

I really liked this book! Like the other reviewers mentioned at the beginning the characters don't seem too promising but it is not the case. Both , Becca and Callum matured and the story flows perfectly!

I really enjoyed this! A solid second chance romance, with fun mystery shenanigans, though not quite a lot of angst. The brogue was a little heavy in the dialogue for me, and I wish the heroine’s feelings for Dead Husband had been dealt with a bit more, but overall solid.
