I just finished this book this morning. Absolutely loved it. I love the strong female lead being human, not overly strong, she still showed true weakness and the ability to overcome and find herself. Great read.

I found the story line confusing at times with big gaps that took me several pages to catch up on. At other times it was drawn out excessively, even repeating background information.
Parts of the book were really well written but the editing has really let it down. The story needed to be filled in properly or cut down a lot to give the reader a smoother journey.

The heroine of this story is taking risks that she never dreamed of taking before her divorce. She comes across as a little self absorbed and a touch narcissistic. I just couldn't like her and therefore did not finish this book.

This is my second book by Carmen DeSousa after Love Like Crazy, and I'm not just hooked, but amazed of how versatile this author can be. She tackles the chicklit genre just as well as she does young adult, suspense, and paranormal romance. With this audio book, she literally had me laughing out loud from the first paragraphs, with such a well written scene that is enhanced by a great narrator, whose interpretation is suitably quirky. Jana is your average woman with a high intelligence and bad luck in love. With a cheating ex husband named Dick in the picture... Go figure! After she divorces him, her professional life becomes her focus, and soon she becomes a successful writer. Her love life on the other hand is inexistent. That is, until she meets the handsome Adrian...
A lovely, light-hearted journey that will keep you smiling and wishing you were Jana, even in the trickiest of situations, which she treats with the best weapon she has : humor and sarcasm.

I have recently left my ex and needed this reminder of loving myself and not needing a man. While this past year and a half has been a struggle, meeting Jana has given me new light and hope for happiness...within myself. Than you, Ms. DeSousa.

This is actually a clean story with a nice romance and a lot of common sense included. Jana is cheated on by her husband and winds up reinventing herself after her divorce. She learns about blogging & reviewing books and becomes very good at both. Later, she gets into writing her own books and gets a movie deal on the book she wrote that encourages women to live for themselves instead of just for others. Along the way she meets a doctor and falls in love but winds up getting hurt. She has to decide if she can forgive or did he cross a line she could not ignore. When I picked up this book I wasn't sure if was for me but it turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a good while.

I really enjoyed reading the story of Jana and how she starts her focus in life in a different and new direction after her husband leaves her and their son. She has to support herself and at first does not know where to start. Her cousin is her best friend and she helps guide Jana through developing a blog to become a professional book reviewer. That worried me a bit, for I could not seriously understand how she would make money reviewing books online. But it does lead her on to writing her own book! YES! Then she writes a serious book under her own name, and life gets really interesting for Jana. I will not post spoilers, but read the book and become inspired to learn new things! Very Good Book!!

Jana has just suffered one of the greatest indignities a wife can ever experience; her husband of 15 years hasn't just cheated on her, he's gotten another woman pregnant! In a wonderfully positive story, this character, who's only child will soon head off to college, decides to do all the things she always wanted to do. Fast paced, inspiring, and with the love and support of a wonderful son, one of the least depressing stories centered around divorce that I've ever experienced! You'll be glad you read this excellent book.

I loved how relarelatable this book was. Oh my heart broke for Jana. I wish that I would have been as strong and self sufficient as she was. This book is a great reminder to be true to yourself and to always strive to get to know who you are. When you are all alone.

They had been married for 15 years when Jana found out that her husband had gotten another woman pregnant. Now she had to find a way for herself and her son to survive. I was drawn into this story right away. The characters were well developed. I really enjoyed this book. I hope you will too.
