Ice Planet Barbarians: A SciFi Alien Romance

Initially, I thought that I wouldn't like this book...but hey, what can I say except: Where can I find me a Chief of blue men...LOL. I fell in love with the leading man and woman. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it for others to read as well. I'm normally not an alien or sci-if reader but I must say that this book has caught and kept my attention...Kudos to the author!!!

Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon pushes your imagination to the limit in her science fiction romance filled with beastly aliens and women kidnapped from Earth. This is Georgie and Vektal's journey to a hot and steamy happily ever after ending.

Georgie knows that time is precious when the ship carrying her and the other captive women crashes. She has to find help before the aliens return for their bounty. Thrust into an unknown world looking for help, she stumbles upon the most unlikely of people uh, aliens, Vektal. He is large seven feet plus with horns, a tail and lordy lordy he's blue! Vektal has found his mate! This strange almost hairless creature is his. The chemistry between them is instant but the emotional relationship takes time to develop. Both are confused by their feelings and the language barrier.

Such an entertaining, well-developed story! I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the get go. I stumbled upon this fantastic author while searching for something to bring me out of my book slump. Not only was I entertained, I feel in love with the characters; the spirited women fighting to survive no matter the odds and the warriors searching for their mates not willing to accept no as an answer. This is an exceptionally written story and a perfect addition to my eBook library. I cannot wait for the next installment to this series.

I love this this series. Is funny, sexy, steamy, self related stories. I really like all the characters stories. Brings out a lot of self image issues, but at the end everyone find someone that loves them as who they are. In a perfect world it will be nice if everyone could resonate to someone. I bought all the books I truly recommend All of them.

I really love this whole series! This book is fun. The characters are enjoyable and the story is a little campy but it's great. I love books that are just light-hearted and enjoyable.

I would recommend the entire series. I really enjoy the way the author comes back to previous couples farther on son that you get an update on their relationship.

This is a serialized series which I'm to impatient to wait for so I waited for the entire series to be completed. If you enjoy science fiction, romantic suspense and space opera books you will definitely enjoy this writers style of writing. I was caught up within the story from the first and couldn't put it down...reading it straight through the night. I would love to read more from Ruby Dixon and definitely wouldn't mind further writings in this book series.

The type of books I mainly read are romance books. I don't usually read sci fi romance, but this book was free so I took a chance. I am so glad I did. I loved this book. It was so different from what I read, but in a good way. It was such a great story. It took a lot of imagination to write this book. I loved it! I'm definitely reading the next book in this series.

Women kidnapped by aliens and then left on an ice planet because of engine problems with their spaceship.That caught my attention,I figured I purchase the box set which contains the entire series and dive right in.Hours later, I had read the entire book and was extremely happy with my purchase.Ruby Dixon gives great dialogue,story and romance.Hearing that more is on the way,Yup, I'm going to be on the lookout,eager to dive right in.Amazing series!!

I read this book because it was recommended over and over again in a Kristen Ashley Facebook group. I loved it! Put away your disbelief, don't ask any questions and just go with it. If you scan reviews trying find out "is there sex in this book?" that would be a big Y-E-S.

The blue giant had me from the beginning. Sex with an alien? Don't want to spoil anything, but this was a wild story with very explicit sex. Written well and plotted well too. Thin on the depth of the story, but BIG on the sex. What more can I say. It's a good book to read between the heavier literary types.

These books are entertaining, satisfying reads: large, blue, sexy male aliens longing for mates after the khui sickness kills off most of the alien females, sizzling bedroom action, lots of babies, and a great story line as a backdrop.

The perfect mix of sci-fi adventure and romantic tale. Different worlds clash. Human meet alien and sparks truly fly. The whole Ice Planet Barbarian series is a good read, page turners actually, and extra rewarding to read them chronologically. Five stars to Ruby Dixon!

Really enjoyed it. Easy read, fun characters all around and decent quick world building. Only reason I'm taking one star off is because it's advertised like it's 6 books, and it's not. Read the fine print, it's 6 chapters of 1 book. Total ripoff to say "complete series" only because the store/the author knows the average person is not going to think they mean books vs. chapters.

This was an fantastic story, I loved that the alien hero really was alien looking. That is the way an alien love story is supposed to be. I was very happy with all of this novel.
I would read this over again. Well done, Dixon, well done.
I eagerly look forward to more alien passion from this Author.

I really enjoyed this story. Its well written ,suspenseful ,witty and HOT very very Hot dont let the ice part fool you this storys so steamy you'll practically sweat. kept my attention from the very beginning. Truth be told once i started reading it, I could hardly bring my self to put it down again until the very last page.I will definitely be looking forward to as well as for any future additions to this series.

The nicest thing? The romantic lead and his kind are not the abductors. Instead, the abductees are dropped on the ice planet, and rescued by big, blue, horned aliens with "cooties." Funny, fun, sweet book.

Whatever I could say about this book has probably already been written. I enjoyed this story immensely; way more so than I did the artwork which does nothing to illustrate an actual, interesting, well-developed tale.

I would recommend this series to readers who enjoy this genre.

i dont read Science Fiction romance books, i stumbled across this book and i was wondering if i should buy it and i took a chance and boy am i gad that i did. the book was so much fun and was a good mix of adventure, romance and steamy love making.
Georgie never believed in aliens til she was kidnapped by aliens one night along with 11 other women but 6 of them were place in pods while the other 6 which Georgie was a part of were placed in a cell since they were extra cargo. A mechanical malfunction on the space ship cause her captures to drop off their cargo (the women) and come back for them when they had fixed the problem. After the crash landing Georgie was appointed as leader of these women and went out to search where they landed for help. She stumbles across into a trap and meets the maker of this trap Vektal he is like no one she as ever seen before and he has horns. Vektal wonders what was this strange creature in his trap when he sees her he knows that she is his mate and cant wait to be with her. but he needs to take things slow cause they both dont understand each other. Vektal takes Georgie back to his people and let them know that they are others like Georgie this excites his people cause they are only 4 women in the tribe and they are already mated. the women are excited that they are being rescued but they are not very happy about what they must do to survive living on the planted the want to go home but with their captures on the horizon they quickly do so and some of them have found heir mates among their rescuers. Georgie never thought that she would be happy after being kidnapped by aliens but know that she is with Vektal and carrying his child she couldn't be happier.

Much like the synopsis. Hard to imagine the crash and surviving in the cold. A sweet story and I like the way the author gave us alternating thoughts of the two main characters because they could not speak the same language. And we see how they tried to communicate. Fun read, interesting take on adaptation.

Fun story, steamy sex scenes, light sci-fi, "Star Wars" references and big purple aliens on an ice covered planet. Surprisingly, there is a plot; actually, plots, one for this book and another that unfolds during the two sequels.

Love the first-person narration. So often an author can't make that work, but Dixon succeeds.

REALLY ENJOYED this book and will definitely be reading it again. Fun, well-paced, with two completely lovable main characters. This book is sometimes hilarious, sometimes somber, and heartwarming in a not-too-mushy kind of way. Well done overall with a great, engaging style.

From the first page to the last one this fantastic box set of her series will keep you reading as you run the gambit of emotions the story brings out. Trauma,survival,Charismatic characters,purring,protective and hunky alien that makes her his greatest treasure/mates. Lots of steamy scenes that makes everything purr. So ENJOY!!!

The female lead is witty and sarcastic! Author depicts a great landscape and scenery for us to feel as though we are on the icy planet with them. Along for the journey! It has the perfect amount of romance/plot/raunchy sex scenes.

Interesting plot, and exciting planetary men with endearing qualities. Most of the planet's inhabitants are bachelors . Human women abducted from earth now find themselves stranded on this new planet . Each must make a choice if they are to survive.

I enjoyed the story. I especially liked that Georgie and Vektal had problems understanding each other and had to learn to try and communicate with each other instead of instantly being able to understand each other.

Love this series. Not ususally my genre of reading, but was definitely surprised that I'd enjoy such a different concept of "people." Excited to continue reading about all the other characters introduced in this book. Have read second book and enjoyed it as much!

Loved this series!!!! I keep checking her page to see when the next installment is coming out, I love that not only was it really sexy but she gave the characters substance and not just smut you know? This is a total gem I'm so happy I found!!! ( yes the extra exclamation points are necessary lol)

This was a great read. Funny, scary, passionate, hot sex and a great romance. The main characters are funny and loveable. The villains are hated fiercely. But the strength and compassion the ladies developed for each other is heart warming. I recommend this book to my friends and will do again.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. It has everything I look for in a novel: action, romance, adventure, well developed characters you care about, and entertainment. I was engrossed in the story from the first chapter and didn't stop until I had finished every book in the series.

If you can imagine a lover who knows mind blowing sex, how to cherish you, protect you and is so big, strong, blue, and how horns, this is the planet for you. It is shiveringly good fun in more ways than one.

This story was interesting. It was hard to read at first, as everything had to be mostly just explained, but once she met the alien, it was interesting. There was still a little too much narration, but I thought the world she described was inventive, and the characters were likeable.

I weirdly enjoyed this book. I think it was because the hero was gentle, kind and considerate. Plus the heroine was courageous and thought about her choices and the people affected by them (most of the time). The alien sex though... interesting. Hahaha.
