While each book could be read independently, I have enjoyed reading the series in order. I like mysteries because the crimes are solved in the end, unlike real life when crimes are not always solved. The visual language brings the cases into reality in the imagination.

I have always loved to read, and with this series of books, the characters I grow to care about do not end with the last page. I know I can continue their journey (and mine!) with the next book. Keep them coming!

I love the in death series. The way Eve Dallas is written is genius. She's a tough confident woman until you take her out of her familiar environment and then she's childlike. When she's around animals makes me laugh out loud. Her short little snide smart ass remarks make me want to write them down and use them myself. And when she's stumped she falls back to the oldie but goodie... Bite Me. You can't help but feel for her and with her. and all the other characters just mesh just right. sometimes in strange and weird ways but they mesh. I cant get enough. Please keep up the great work.

I own all of the IN DEATH SERIES. Awaiting SECRETS IN DEATH. I love the character development and the relationships. Susan Ericksen is the perfect reader. I thank Nora Roberts for thousands of hours of listening experiences.

I have really enjoyed the 'In Death' series. The books can be read as stand-alone editions, but there is so much more to be gained by going in order. The relationships between the main characters continues to develop. These books feel like a great television drama in book form. There is always a crime that Lieutenant Eve Dallas is solving, but the relationships with her co-workers and friends adds a great enjoyment as well. The books are an enjoyable read, not so intense that it adds stress to my already hectic live, instead they provide a nice escape into fiction. I love the element of the stories set in the future as well as the many mentions of NYC landscapes, which I am familiar with.

This is a collection of "in Death" series by JD Robb - 16-20. Like all her others, there is a formula that works. Two magnetic, flawed individuals who have interesting lives, tough jobs, and happen to be married to each other. Eve Dallas is a homicide cop in NYC in the future. Rourke is her multi-millionaire technology gorgeously handsome husband. They have steamy sex and work well together despite their tortured childhoods. I enjoy having strong, realistic main characters - lots of personal growth throughout the series. Enjoy!

I love the In Death series written by J.D. Robb. The stories are fast paced and keep your interest. The characters are well defined and enjoyable. I highly recommend, especially for fun, summer time reads.

I have only read two books in this collection. Divided in Death and Survivor in Death. I liked Survivor in Death best.
J. D. Robb's books always have a good story line but could do with less bedroom scenes between Eve and Roark.
They add nothing to the story.

The stories are revetting romps in the future with Detective Eve Dallas and her bevy of supporting cops. In each book, there is murder, intrigue, love, lust and humor, the good guys versus the bad guys and a whole host of characters. What more could you ask for in a novel?

The grouping rate is higher than buyimg them individually. My fear is that the prices are going to raise individually soon, which makes it very hard to continue re-buying the series for my Kindle viewing. It sure would be nice to get a real deal, once in a while. I keep picturing some greedy, fat cat, with a smarmy mustache, rubbing his hands together and cackling that we readers are too stupid to get it.
