101 Power Thoughts

I listened to this audiobook. It’s a little over an hour long. First of all, I do love her voice. It has a musicality to it that keeps me interested. Basically this is a collection of thoughts or wisdoms about life and how to live it better. I will have to listen several times to really “hear” it all but everything did make sense. I did read some reviews that think it’s fantasy thinking but it’s easy to think that especially if something hits home. I’m not saying these things are easy to do. I’m almost 50 and changing my thoughts will not be easy but I think that when you feel stuck in life, it’s exactly the time to try changes. I do recommend this.

The subconcious mind is very receptive to repetitive suggestion. So it's very important not to listen to something over and over again unless it truly reflects your core values. There were two things that jumped out at me when I first listened to this CD that made me realize that I should not listen to it again...

First, the reference to REINCARNATION. She states something along the lines of, "I have been on this earTh many times before, sometimes as a man, sometimes as a woman, sometimes as a heterosexual sometimes as a homosexual." Well, as a Christian, I don't believe that, so I shouldn't subject my subconcious mind to it.

The second one was something along the lines of, "I have NO EXPECTATIONS. If you don't have expectations, you can't be disappointed." Well, that's true. And if you don't have expectations, you'll never reach any goals either. Not a good life plan and counter-productive to achievement.

The CD is powerful. Just make sure that these are the thoughts you want to feed into your mind. To me, they're DANGEROUS thoughts that can undermine my core values, so I can't listen to them. I wasted my money on this CD.

I love all her audio programs, especially this one! Louise Has taught me to believe in myself and to open my mind to the awesome potential within me. The world is a much better place because she is here to teach and bless us with her wisdom. I love the soothing way she speaks, and the profound spiritual truth of her words. I have fallen asleep to this CD many times, and love the ideas it plants into my subconscious mind as I sleep.

In my opinion, everything that Louise Hay has written has been wonderful. Her very simplistic and down to earth writing really works for me. Since 1988, I have read Louise's books and listened to her tapes and CD's. When I first listened to this CD, I was amazed. This CD set gives you practical help in everyday living and letting go of negative thoughts and old beliefs. And because I feel that Louise Hays teachings, CD's and books really work for me, I own 14 of them! And This CD really works for me and I have it to use when needed. Thanks Louise!

This product can help anyone become more positive in thought and in action. Yes, it might take discipline to be positive, but then again it takes just as much effort to be negative. "101 Power Thoughts" can help one focus on abundance and know that we can have the life we choose.

This is a GREAT CD. You won't be disappointed. I listen to this CD once a month at least and I still get new points from it.

For a simple overall affirmation series, listen to 101 Power Thoughts morning and night. Her voice alone is enough to change your state of mind, but the breadth of the thoughts hit nearly every one of our fundamentally flawed beliefs. This is a great starter place for someone who is struggling in area of life.

Only one improvement I feel is needed. The CD only has 2 tracks divided in half. So its kind of hard to use the repeat on your player if you want to hear the same affirmation over and over again.

But, overall this is a great CD. Its a nice change of pace from talk radio. Louise Hay's voice is soothing, and loving and when listening to it you just feel at peace.
I recommend this for anyone who wants to replace the constant mind chatter with something inspiring and something to help change your thoughts.

I looked at so many Louise Hay products, I thought this would have the subliminal stuff in it too. It doesn't. It is not just strait affirmations either. She speaks the affirmation and explains it so sometimes she is speaking in "I" and sometimes in "you" format. It is a very refreshing CD and the music is not distracting. Louise's voice is nice to listen to. Overall, this is a great CD. It gets me feeling good everytime I hear it.

Listening to this tape is a positive, uplifting way for me to start each day. The affirmations are simple and thus easy to remember; they also go right to the point of need. I listen to this tape so often that I'll have to buy another copy soon!

I received this surprise recording as a gift. I loved the motivational and inspirational affirmations and thoughts read by Louise Hay herself with very soothing piano music in the background.
I enjoyed it so much that I also downloaded the same recording on my iPhone through iTunes as an app for the phone. Simply stated, Louise's voice is soothing to listen to at any time of the day. 5stars and highly recommended!!!

There's much inspirational and audio on the store. This "Christian" recording is NOT one of them. WHEW!

LET'S GET REAL about basic morality. SOME (not all) of this recording represents moral and intellectual suicide:

For example: "I affirm that each person in our government is loving, honest, honorable and is truly working for the betterment of all people." Tell this to people of my generation who "served" in Viet Nam (another war based on governmental lies). Tell this to the ordinary people of Iraq. Tell this to the families of over 4,000 families whose children were killed in Iraq. Tell this to the 40,000 or so physically and mentally disabled American soldiers who suffered the consequences of George Bush's illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq based on GOVERNMETAL fraud and lies. Tell this to the hundreds of thousands of Iraq people driven from their homes or killed as a direct consequences of Dick and George's criminal conduct. GIVE ME A BREAK ! I've just thrown away the recording. TOO BAD.
