This book along with all the others in the series are freakin awesome. I have such a hard time putting it down. I love the characters and relationships and plot twists. I love that I have no idea who the villain is until the end of each book. Each of the books are very well written and easy to read. I would highly recommend this series!

This was the toughest challenge of all for Eve, given that her very identity was at risk. I found this to be poignant and relatable as so many of us define ourselves by our careers. Must admit that this one brought me to tears. If you have found yourself to not be a big fan of Eve Dallas, the insights learned here may change your perspective. Conspiracy is one of my favorites in the series.

If you love the "in death" series you will especially love this book. It gives great insight into the characters of Eve and Roarke and their special relationship and introduces the character of Dr. Louise Dimatto. The plot had several twists and turns which leave you guessing all the way through.

I love reading all of Eve Dallas' stories, but the early ones are my favorites. Conspiracy's mystery is a good one, but for me it's what happens on a personal level for Eve and Roarke and how it all resolves makes this one of the best in the series.

Needing a break from more serious thrillers I broke my resolution to avoid further books in this mostly pretty silly but sexy futuristic police/crime fantasy.
I have read enough of this series to block out the ridiculous near future setting with droids, interplanetary travel but continued social strife and appalling welfare. To enjoy this series you need to focus on the two main characters, Eve Dallas, a totally committed NYPD police lieutenant working among the dregs of society, and her unlikely husband Rourke, a billionaire who can live the life of dreams anywhere in the world or on nearby planets and satellites. One of the key elements that draws and keeps them together in their sexy, feisty and unbelievable relationship is their mutual background of poverty, abuse and struggle to succeed.
The story is, as usual, pretty kooky. Some people with top surgical skills are removing key organs from people in the dregs of society, as carefully as it would have happened in a top hospital. At the same time Eve has to face up to events that might eventually end her police career.
This book was a step up from the others because it shows a vulnerability in Eve when she is confronted with the possible loss of her career. Again it shows Rourke's support and love for his unlikely wife but this time her reliance and love for her man show through. Of course the book is scattered with passionate, often clothes ripping interludes between the main characters that must be one of the main attractions of such a strange series.

I have been reading all of JD Robbs series.... and have enjoyed the future setting and the main characters. This book however had a more complicated list of characters than the others, but failed to deliver any surprises in the end. It was good, but not as good as the others.

After being somewhat disappointed with Holiday in death, this was a great one! Eve is back and facing the loss of her career - and it's fascinating to read. Not to mention Roarke - he's so angry and protective of her!

Between Nora Roberts & JD Robb they make stories seem so real now and the future. I enjoy their stories more then they could even think of. I hope they keep it up. I know they are the same person. I would recommend their books to everyone.

Nora Robets, writing as JD Robb, has somehow produced this miracle of storytelling through her innate talent as a best-selling writer. I'm in awe of her imagination in coming up with such complex murder mysteries. The main characters, especially Homicide Lieutenant Eve and her billionaire husband, are so well developed and vivid, you feel like they are real people you know deeply and hope to meet. They have faults, integrity, fight, love deeply, and hurt just like the rest of us mere mortals. You root for them and feel strongly about their adventures and relationships, quests, and paths towards justice and finding love. The investment in owning the entire series was worth every single penny because Roberts stories are just that amazing, and always a cut above the rest!!! A must-have series for anyone recognising quality.

If you enjoy Nora Roberts then you will enjoy this read. However, it is part of a series and I recommend reading a few of the earlier books before this one so you will have a feel for the series. Another great addition for any fan or murder and mystery.
