I enjoyed the book and the person reading is getting a little better. She can't say "been" or "ate" and there are many others. She also doesn't know what an ob gyn is. I got quite a laugh from her goblinesque pronunciation of the term. Her actual reading is better though. Doesn't anyone edit the reading?

Girl With No Name does not disappoint. An absolute page turner, Regan keeps the story moving with lots of twists. Some predictable others not. First book of hers that I’ve read, and will definitely keep her on my list.

It’s an enjoyable read but highly unrealistic. Also the main character broke too many rules even for a small town police department. It’s pretty intense and a page turner but the unrealistic plot and characters development are a bit frustrating.

It looks like a few characters introduced in the first book have changed dramatically. A very likable, patient, loyal Luke is barely recognizable. I don’t see Luke from the first book killing a guy, burying him on Luke’s land (is he that stupid) and jumping between the sheets with a trushy manipulative floozie like Kim and then going to spend time with Josie. Also I don’t see why he had to go to a private room in the strip club to talk to Misty twice.
Now Noah. In the first book he was a shy and inexperienced patrol officer. In just two years he is a confident and knowledgeable lieutenant who keeps telling his boss what to do. He clearly has feelings for the Chief. I looks like author decided Noah would be a better partner for Josie so she destroyed Luke and made Noah develop into a guy who can be Josie’s love interest later.

No spoilers. The plot is convoluted and a bit crazy, but the author does a pretty good job of leading the reader to all of the reveals. It feels a bit like a horror film when you think the bad guy is dead, but he pops up again!
Where the author fails (and in a big way) is with the character development. With Vanishing Girls, she did an awesome job of introducing the characters, their backstory and left us wanting more. There were also supporting characters that were interesting, and could be featured more as the series grows. In this follow up story, Josie and Luke are both huge disappointments. Where are the editors?!
Josie fares a bit better than Luke, but not by much. Josie is the Chief, yet she acts like an emotionally insecure teenager at times - frustrating - and her emotionally silly behavior seems contrived. Luke is living in bizarro world - he looks nothing like the man we got to know in Vanishing Girls. His behavior is ludicrous, and the explanation for the choices he makes in this book are not true to his character. Major fail by this author and the editor. UNLESS, there's a different explanation (when confronted, he doesn't exactly admit to what is assumed...he apologizes. That leaves room for redemption to be the man we were shown in book 1).
The supporting characters fare a bit better, but there's not much development with them so that's probably why. Overall, the plot was interesting; and I will read the next in the series (to see if there is an answer to the silliness of the main characters behaviors).

The story kept me guessing the whole way through. Josie Quinn has good detective skills and was fun to read about but her mental status and personal life was overdone. PS - the person narrating the audible book pronounces words incorrectly, drops the letter T (into is inno) etc. Very hard to take.

Outstanding read, highly recommend this series. Great drama, intricately crafted, she always hold a thread back, so far the whole story has yet to be told, and of course I will be there until the END

In her style the main is plot subsidized by multiple plots which evolve as you are reading.
It keep the suspense elevated and you don't what to put the book down.
This has been resolute throughout the series.
