This book had me hooked from the beginning! I immediately fell in love with Tig and all her flaws. No family, no life, is movie picture perfect. We all have our ups, downs, struggles, and self realizations. This book plays all of those out perfectly!

Ann Garvin takes the every day and spirals it out of control in the most believable way. I was immediately and deeply invested in Tig, but all of the characters in the book were complex and full of small surprises. I enjoyed the whole book, but the ending was my favorite part. I'm still thinking about what happened to Tig after the last page.

This book is such a great story, heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time! I hated for it to end! This is one of those story lines you ponder as you go about your day. Clever humor, plot twists, reality checks. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Would make a great film!

I really loved the ending. The author ties the female characters together with a wonderful spin. The male counterparts , all portrayed as the stronger ones in their respective relationships. Or are they?

This is such a wonderful and empathetic story told with humor and compassion. The author paints a colorful picture of life with an elderly parent going though Alzheimer's in a humorous and truthful way. This is a lovely lovely read.

Quick read that touches nerves - whether you grew up in a 'normal' family environment or not (as far as I know there is no such thing as normal), this book makes you think, reflect, tear up, smile and even laugh out loud.

I loved the names of the characters. Your imagination immediately connected the quirky names with their attitudes. The story kept you guessing, which drew you deeper in the book. I would highly recommend this book.

A delight to read, not a depressing book about aging and its debilitating ailments even though that is the whole story wrapped around two sisters, then stir in boyfriends, a dog, a baby and you have a pot of stew that goes down easy. I don't normally buy books about illness, and this one I took a chance on just because of the title of the book. It turned out to be one of my favorite reads of the summer!

I thought the book sounded appealing from it's summary, but found the execution lacking. The writing was less than stellar and I did not find the main character particularly likeable. I enjoyed it enough to finish it.

And I desperately need a sequel. I can't elaborate without spoilers so I won't, but dangling threads drive me a little crazy.
I'm not a huge fan of chick lit but this book had an edgy feel that made it more enjoyable than the usual fair.
I would have given 5 stars, but the unfinished business kind of left me irritated.

What a wonderful way to spend a rainy day, reading I Like You Just Fine When You're Not Around!
I was expecting a light hearted romantic comedy but oh, it was so much more!
I loved the characters, I loved the story, I loved the writing! What more to say? I didn't want it to end!
Thank you, Ann for such a delightful book!

I thought this had an interesting premise and I liked the title, but it is a predictable yet unrealistic book. I would not recommend. I almost never fail to finish a book once I start to read it but I had to stop reading this one.

NOT "hilarious" (as described in one of the reviews in the book's extract). Not even funny. Not slightly humorous. Bleak. Bleak and depressing. Straight to my Awful & Abandoned pile. Ann Garvin, please refund my $0.99.
