I really enjoy this book by Terry Pratchett. The characters are all memorable. The humor is especially funny to my sensibilities, but it is well written enough to appeal to most folks. On top of that, it tells a fun and ridiculous underdog story. If you want to laugh, read this book!

I love giving this to young adult readers who hunger for something of substance with a good deal of humor rolled in. There are few things more wonderful than walking into a room to see your pre-teen staring blankly into space as they process the complex new concepts and moral questions given to them through colorful characters.

Pratchett strikes again. This book features a new protagonist while giving cameos to several old favorites. It is a laugh a minute even for those not familiar with Pratchett's body of work and a great addition for those who have followed his previous work.

Terry Pratchett really is the king of satire. Going Postal is one of my favorites by him so far. I loved the play on the mythology of Mercury and the way Moist is such an obvious Gemini. Mr. Pratchett is incredibly clever! He makes you laugh and think at the same time. Sorry I don't want to go into any details and spoil it for you but I can promise you won't be disappointed.

Another Discworld book that takes place in Ankh-Morpork, Going Postal touches on a few characters we know, but mainly focuses on a new character Moist von Lipwig, who is quite an interesting and dynamic person. The book shows his evolution from petty criminal to honest postmaster very well, with plenty of comedy to smooth the ride. While I enjoy the Discworld books that have the City Watch at center stage the most, this is amongst my favorite of Pratchett's recent works.

Discworld is my favorite series of sci-fi fantasy. Postal is the best of the series. Satire of finance, the gullibility of most people and of course the post office. Clacks? I think the internet is in here too. Pratchett spins a fantasy that is so convincing I keep looking for trolls.

You have to read this book before you read Making Money. And you have to read this book because it is so much fun.
If you read this, you will not need me to encourage you to read Making Money. I suppose it would help to be a fan of Disc World to begin with, but I think you will be by the time you finish the book even if it is your first experience there.

I loved the characters in this story. I was mesmerized. I laughed so hard at times. I just couldn't wait for the day to settle down, so that I could get back to reading it. I know that I will read this book many times.
