The first two Jane Hawk but were very good, quick paced and exciting. The Crooked Staircase started differently with altogether new characters and once they died they were never mentioned again. I’m trying say it was choppy and disconnected in the first 4 or 5 chapters then it slowly got better. Not nearly as good as the other two books.

I read the first two Jane Hawk .novels hoping for a conclusion. When there was none, I begrudgingly bought the third. This book is beyond wordy. Upon finishing this novel, I was very disappointed that again there was no conclusion, and alas, I would be forced to buy the fourth book. As there is no gaurentee of a conclusion I will not be purchasing the next novel. This is a scam.

Dean Koontz never fails. He has knocked it out of the park again with the Jane Hawk series. As with the Odd Thomas and Frankenstein series, it is a magnificent story with twists and subplots to keep one in suspense. His writing paints a picture before your eyes. Keep them coming Mr. Koontz. I can't get enough of your work.

Really great book continuing the Jane Hawk novels. Only problem is I thought I was near the end and did not realize this was not the last book. Lots of suspense. Will have to watch for the next book.

This is a “To be continued” book. Horribly disappointed. Either Mr. Koontz is holding his readers hostage by forcing you to purchase his next book or he got bored with his own writing and ended it before the story was told. I feel duped and will never read a book of his again.

Koontz never disappoints me. This novel keeps you on the edge of your seat, emotions going up and down like a roller coaster. And of course Jane is an amazing character leaving me with anticipation for the next book.
