So I already loved Elizabeth. I forgave Christian, but as sweet as this was, it made me feel that anger from TTR. He was near perfection in this - makes the hurt so much more than it seemed.

I loved their story. You can't go wrong with any book written by A.L. Jackson, everything is a complete work of art. I read TTR, then downloaded every available story and loved them all. Pure talent and boy can she turn words into magic.

I read somewhere that it was not necessary to read this prequel while reading the other two books in this series. I don't agree with that. I read this as the final and was able to finally learn how the characters met and what really brought them together. I loved it. So sweet. It made me believe that sometimes there is such a thing as young, true love.

Take This Regret is one of my favorite books. So, to actually see Christian and Elizabeth as they fell in love was just beautiful! I enjoyed the banter between them and was happy to read about how their relationship started. If you haven't read Take This Regret, then this novella may seem like an incomplete book...however if you did read it then everything will make sense and you will fall in love with Christian even more!

sometimes prequels or novellas are disappointing, not only in length but in content as well. this was not the case with this book. i love this author's style of writing and she once again delivers. we get an in depth look at Christian's POV and how the love between him and Elizabeth develops. the author manages to draw you in emotionally but also captures the sexual tension in a steamy way. looking forward to more books from this author!

I absolutely loved Take This Regret...it was my first time to read A.L. Jackson. But one book was all it took as I was hooked...I have read every one of her books now. I was excited when I saw Lost to You was the back story of Christian & Elizabeth (from Take This Regret). I was not disappointed as it was a beautiful story and it gave more insight to the devastation that occurred in Take This Regret. I highly Recommend!!!

What a sweet love story! Brought back memories of first real love with the descriptions of the physical reactions, the breathlessness and the all encompassing overwhelming feelings experienced by the people involved. The author takes you on a ride exploring those feelings as you become a fly on the wall. Christian's parents give new meaning to the words utterly contemptible and are a prime example why some people should not reproduce!

A heart breaking story of two college students, completely in love with each other and planning a life together, who must face the ultimate challenge of premarital sex, an unexpected pregnancy. Well written.

This story goes back to the beginning with Christian and Elizabeth from Take This Regret. They shared a sweet bond that they never dreamed could be broker but love doesn't always win. This is one of my favorite series because A L Jackson's writing is beautiful and flawless.

I loved the connection between the two characters and watching how they built their love and trust to one another.
The only unbelievable part is their age. At 18, they seem pretty mature for the emotions and thoughts between them. Maybe at the end if their college career instead if the beginning.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to the continuation.

I read "Take this Regret" first and then this prequel. Once I read Lost to You I had a much better appreciation for Liz and Christian's relationship and friendship.
It really makes "Take This Regret" a better story.

"Lost to You" is light and romantic compared to the heart wrenching roller coaster of "Take this Regret' which is also a great book.

A beautiful book about love at first sight, fighting for what you want and believe in, and proof that sometimes love and destiny are found where and when you'd least expect them to!

Although this book is the prequel to the wonderful Take This Betrayal, it can be enjoyed on its own and stands on it's own merit. However, I do recommend reading this and then quickly getting your hands on the next book as they are AMAZING as a package!

A.L Jackson has me hooked!

as always , this A.L Jackson novella was absolutely wonderful! It was great seeing how christian and Elizabeth's romance began and how beautiful their love is. I cringe at thinking about all the things they will go through but its the kind of love that never fails and so if you have not read Take This Regret then you have to immediately after reading this!

It was definitely nice to read this prequel of how Christian and Elizabeth came together. Again, Christian makes the story for me, Elizabeth is weak, insecure and whiny, I fail to see why he loves her, she reminds me of Kiera from Thoughtless...

This was a great love story that definitely has to be read before reading the sequel, Take this regret. I couldn't put it down and I immediately dived into the next book. Honestly both books consumed a great deal of my time and emotion over the last two days because all I wanted to do was read more about Christian and Elizabeth! I felt as though I knew the characters personally.

No spoilers..... promise

I just picked this book on my Kindle and read both Lost To You and the follow up Take This Regret in one night I couldn't nor wanted to put it down. I think it's a good idea to read this one first so you get the background of the characters relationship. The author invented characters that are believable and made me want for them, I could say to myself that was me or I know how they feel. Loved how you read both characters point of view. This is a definate KEEPER!

This was a passionate story about two lost souls that have been damaged so much that when they found each other is was hard to stay away. Some how they made it work it was great. They started out as strangers helping each other out, to friends, to lovers to soul mates. I loved loved loved this book :)

This was a very sweet beautiful young love romance story. Who wouldn't love best friends who become lovers. Add in the turmoil of terrible parents and bingo...it makes the young ones want each other even more.

I found and read this after reading "Take This Regret", which is a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Because this is the prequel, I had very high expectations. I enjoyed reading the beginning of the characters' stories. If anything could have been better, I felt like it was a bit short. I would have liked to see the relationship develop a little more, once it was established.
Nevertheless, a good writer and another good read.

I enjoyed reading about how Elizabeth and Christian relationship came about. I read this prequel after Take this Regret so the signs of what is to come are easy to spot and also his broken promises to Elizabeth.

Super cute romance, I really enjoyed reading it. I love how the author alternates perspectives, it gives a richness to the story that you cannot otherwise achieve. I wish the book would have lasted a little longer though, extended the ending. Because the second book is such a different tone...

Book is about Liz and Christian. They're both studying in college together to make better grades. They have very different backgrounds. Christian's father is very domineering. Christian can't satisfy his father and feels defeated no matter what he does. Liz and Christian have very different attitudes about their futures.

I struggled with this one. The author over-used her character's names (particularly the heroine's), instead of substituting with pronouns, almost destroying the flow of the story. It was quite bizarre and I really don't understand why it was done.

Like another reviewer, I found the first/last line of many pages went missing and I had to fiddle the font size to find them. Very annoying, though probably a formatting issue, rather than an error by the author.

As for the story itself, it was kind of forgettable. I've not read "Take This Regret" and, after this effort, I'm not too sure I want to.

As noted in another, recent review, I'm getting a bit tired of the current 'flavour of the month' theme about university-aged kids who are beholden to wealthy, controlling parents so they can finish their degrees with parental assistance. Grow a backbone, get a job and incur some student debts, because this one is getting very old, very fast. It also makes the characters seem incredibly weak-willed.

Overall, it was an average read, but it wasn't inspiring or memorable.

This was definitely a good book for young adults. I did not get into the story line that much because of the ages.

It was well written though and I did appreciate the way the author brought the two of them together. I may get the full story just to see if Christian keeps his word.
