Another hit for Dedveraux. Loved this Trilogy. Always a great romantic read with just a touch of mystery to keep you interested. I could not put the book down. I love all the Edilean books. Makes me want to move to a small town. I look forward to reading more books based on Edilean.

The book started off great. The ending was so dissapointing. I felt more was owed to both characters. The ending just didn't do any justice to the way it started off. I was anticipating this book and I was just so unsatisfied.

Another wonderful book by Jude Deveraux!

If you are new to this author and interested in this book I think it may be helpful to start at the beginning of the Edilean series (or if you don't want to go back that far, look for the others with Moonlight in the title perhaps). This is a stand alone novel but it mentions characters from other books and it may get a little overwhelming or confusing with so many names and references to old stories. Just a bit of advice, but not necessary.

Moonlight Masquerade (title is so fitting!) is the story of Sophie and Reede. Sophie is one of three best friends that Ms.Deveraux writes about in this series(the other two have their own novels..Moonlight in the Morning and Stranger in the Moonlight). After a secretive and troublesome past, she makes her way to Edilean, Virginia where she quite memorably meets Reede, the town's grumpy doctor. The story that ensues is sweet, but not without its fair share of excitement and turmoil.

I loved the characters and the way they overcame their problems. Reede is most certainly one of my favorites. I also thought it was a mark of sheer genius that the author made me actually like a certain character (that I cant divulge the name of so it wont ruin it), the one character that I was sure was going to be a big pain in the rear end.

If you are looking for a good, touching book then look no further. I can't adequately describe how much I enjoyed it. The characters have real spunk and I would highly recommend not only this book but others by this author. You won't be able to put it down!

This was an excellent read, outstanding writing as usual for Jude Devereaux. Sad that it is the last in the Edilean Series and will miss all the adventures and romances the founding families always find themselves in.

Not really a page turner. I found myself rushing through the pages wanting it to finish. The plot was too vague and not realistic. The relationship between the Sophie and Reede was also rushed, the two did not get a chance to gel.
