In the Afterlight (Bonus Content) (A Darkest Minds Novel)

Unlike "The Hunger Games" trilogy or "Divergent, for the most part Alexandra Bracken did a good job of delivering three strong books. While I feel as though the ending was a little rushed and even a little unbelievable in its simplicity, it left me fairly satisfied. I will definitely look into reading other books from this author.

Omg I have never been more satisfied with an ending I'm so happy for everyone in the book and am excited for their futures! The book was extremely well written was full of twists and turns I never EVER was expecting five stars all the way I would recommend this book to anyone and every one! (As long as they don't mind the fluent cussing in and throughout the book) XD

Powerfully well-written, far beyond the quality of Twilight (C-D quality writing), The Maze Runner (B quality writing, but dry and "cold"), and The Hunger Games (B+/A- quality writing, but arresting and interesting content and plotlines). This is A-level writing, A-level story, A-level character development, page-turning, gut wrenching, deep and evolved YA content that will satisfy both teens and adults alike. And it is deep. If you're trying to develop a young teen's mind in your life or at school, challenge them, etc., you cannot go wrong with this and the rest of the series. Features a strong, complex female heroine of depth and nuance.

This is my favorite book series ever! Way better than Divergent, on the same level as Legend and Hunger Games. I'm so sad the series is over, I need a "where are they now" to be totally satisfied. After 3 amazing books I feel like these are real people and I need to know they have a happily ever after. This should definitely be a movie.

I absolutely love this series! I started reading it for my English class then got addicted to reading it. I never want to put the books down, and now I'm sad that I have finished this series. I want to read it again even though I know what is going to happen!

This is a brilliant conclusion to the story. Anything I might have imagined in the time between finishing Never Fade and starting In The Afterlight could not compare. Beautifully written, I can see Ruby's world as if I'm there with her. As if I AM her. This series will make you feel emotions you never knew existed.

AMAZING! I love Alexandra Bracken's writing so much! I'm so sad that the series is over and I will miss Liam's charm and chubs smart ass, and Rubys bad ass, and most of all Zu's adorable self and wise words, but this was great ending to a great series!

Great conclusion! The entire series is filled with action, love and friendship. It reminds us of what's worth fighting for. The supporting characters had such a great voice and added so much to every scene they were in. Definitely a series I'll recommend.

Everyone knows that bittersweet moment that occurs once a book is finished. Well that moment has not ended for me yet. I love the feeling of wanting more even though your so happy with the ending. This series has been a pleasure to read and I hope many more readers with finish the journey "The Darkest Minds" started.

Alexandra Bracken finishes an amazing series with an equally amazing final book. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and leaves you on the edge of your seat, unable to put it down until the last page! The only complaint I have about the series is the fact that it's over!

Just........... Words cannot describe this work of originality and awesomeness. I love this series and I think this has the perfect ending to it.

I have a bittersweet relationship with trilogies, especially their endings. It is rare that I read a well-written final installment.

The ending of "In the Afterlight" had rare, perfect symmetry. All of the endings remembered the beginnings. Loops were all closed. The ending was not so tight that it felt unrealistic or picture perfect (which would not fit the tone of this book).

I gave it 4 stars versus 5 because parts of the book did drag a little. It took a long time to get into the final narrative (the one you've been waiting for!)
