I'm with the majority on this one. The story is exciting, original, funny, romantic, scary, just great. I'm hanging on to my hardback copy. The movie, with Chevy Chase and Daryl Hanna, wasn't bad, but the book was better.

I really love the bright colors, they feel slightly thinner than the ones walmart sells but I still like them. I use them mainly for separating foods when I pack lunches and they work great for that, still haven't baked with them.

I love these Silicone Baking Cups. Silicone kitchen ware is slowly taking over my kitchen. Here are just a few benefits of Silicone baking cups: No greasing or oiling of pans required, They heat quickly and bake evenly with no burnt or dark edges or bottom, removal from pans is super easy, they're freezer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe, no rusting or staining, cleanup is a breeze and more. Try these!

Thinner than I expected, but good enough. I use them for sorting craft supplies and lining cupholders (keeps the cupholders in the car clean!) instead of using them for baking because I don't know how well they would hold up!

Read it twice 20 years ago, bought it as a gift for others before even finishing it, bought it again as a gift last month and re-read it again. An absolute delight all three times. Thank you, Mr. Saint!

What an adventure, following Nick Halloway as he lives the life of an invisible man on the lam. There is never a dull moment! There are certainly problems associated with being invisible; things I never thought of. I am amazed this is Mr. Saints' only endeavor. His writing is crisp, funny, exciting, and it's hard to put this book down. As an avid reader, I am often disappointed upon completion of a book. I was sorry when this one ended. Perhaps a sequel, Mr. Saint?

What a tour de force. Memoirs of an Invisible Man is a sort of allegorical thriller about a kind of man who really is disappearing--a man who doesn't whine or fold in the face of adversity, or blame his mother or call his shrink, but who responds with wit and resourcefulness. The critics saw this witty and very sexy book only as grand entertainment, which it is, but it's really so much more. Grab it!

This is the only book that has ever inspired me to write a review and it is one of only a very few that I've read more than once. I'm not surprised that nearly everyone is giving this a five star review. The one person that didn't gives it a rave review as well! Read it, you'll love it, too.

I sure wish Saint would write another.

The bright colors are really nice and my little daughter uses them in her little kitchen too. I don’t especially like doing dishes so I like that they are dishwasher safe. It’s going to be so nice to bake cupcakes and healthy muffins with these silicone muffin cups. I don’t have to worry about running out of cupcake liners ever again! In summary, they're pretty flippin' sweet!

... because if it weren't for the inevitable boring moments during a vacation in Portugal I never would have bought this book. 24 hours after it's purchase I was reading it a second time, and following that at least once a year. Some book are like old friends; You're happy to see them again and there is almost always something new to what you say to each other. I am happy to be able to call this book "a friend".

This book is truly a 5 star book. I have yet to meet to someone who does not rate this book at 4.5 stars or higher. I have lent it out to many people. Many of those people lent out my copy to some one else. My only complaints - it ended, and Mr Saint has no other books,

I have read the other reviews of this excellent book and whole-heartedly agree. I, too, have read it at least 6 times and am looking forward to getting my own copy. I am most curious about the author. His descriptions lead me to believe that he has actually been invisible and suffered the amazing, awful and sometimes incredibly funny consequences.

I first read this book almost 20 years ago, and remember at the time recommending it to everyone I knew who loved books. They recently had a re-run of the dreadful film ( movie) of this great book, which prompted me to get my 15 year old daughter to read it - she loved it!

ps anyone ever find out who actually was H.F Saint?

As other reviewers have already mentioned, this book leaves you waiting for the next book by Harry F. Saint. Several reviewers have suggested that H. F. Saint is a pseudonym; perhaps it's the other way around. One Harry F. Saint is on the Writer's Guild Council. Could "Saint" be his real name, and he publishes more under a pseudonym?

It has been years since I read this novel, which I now learn is out of print. The first thirty pages suggest a comic masterpiece; the mood darkens and what enravels is a horrifying tale of solitude fired by an startling imagination. This is the finest written and most absorbing, little-known novel I have ever encountered.

If there was ever a designed-for-summer book, this is it. The story is whimsical, the writing is airy, it is not weighed down with ponderous thoughts and the story even takes place during the summer.

To enjoy it you have to overlook a few logical flaws... a man literally dissappears, he has no apparent family, no one seems to care, he never leaves New York City... but that makes to story easy to digest.

What makes this story unique is that it deals with invisbility not as science fiction, but as a mix of everyday man goes transparent and while your at, is chased by some government bad guys. The mix works.

There are a few nits. The setting is all New York City and it helps to be familiar with its lifestyle. The protagonist is also a bit of a wimp, and that can be grating. But if you overlook that and a few derivative plot elements, its a good book.

This will also go on my list of best-ever favorites. Who would have thought that being invisible would be so complicated! His description of first waking up and finding himself apparently suspended in mid-air will remain in my memory forever. It would be nice if Saint wrote more books.

I almost called a halt after the author's gratuitous sex scene and his silly and contrived caricature of a left-wing terrorist group, but I plodded on. And on. I always try to get at least the first 100 pages under my belt before I draw a conclusion. As I turned the pages faster and faster, I realize I was bored silly by the laborious descriptions and the tedious dialogue. I figured the remaining 200+ pages would probably be no different. Perhaps all these enthusiastic reviewers have more patience than I do, but I'm still a bit surprised that so many people wanted to wade through this literary swamp populated by a most unsympathetic character.
