I have found this book very easy to understand thus far. It organizes the material so that important concepts stick out more, so the more detailed material isn't all jumbled up in with the main stuff.

This book is stated that it comes with the online access code. However it does not!! I contacted the publisher and they wont give me one. I know have to pay extra to get it. Extremely frustrated and mad with the amount that i paid for and still have to pay more.

Accounting gets me up every morning with a smile and energized . This book is the key to a happy auditing life or just my college class. Anyways its a book, I used it for class and I didn't get an A. But hey, it had paper and was a book.

A class mate recommended I use the store to purchase Auditing and Assurance Services Test Book since it cost almost half the price as the college book store. This was so true and so easy to do. It saved me over $80 on one book! The book is excellent and arrived UPS with no hitches. As a parent of a college age student and a student myself, this is the perfect way to go for all your books!

I purchased a hard cover book and received a different version. However the reading and wording are the same, but all of the exersices are not there. Disappointed. Being that I wrote in the book and time was of the essence, I can't send it back.

This text was required by the course. the store had the text available for a considerably reduced price. My rating of this item would be higher, but I never got to fully use the text. There were postal issues with a label that delayed arrival. The text arrived the week of the final exam. Nonetheless, I would use the company who had the book again, They responded quickly to every correspondence.

The company sent me the wrong item after advertising it was the correct. to my knowledge they did not make the store aware of this issue. Tey did not send the itme in the mail the way they said they would. They have been nothing but rude via e-mail to me, and are refusing to refund me. I was mailed the Global version instead of the version I needed.

Initially I was excited that this title became available on the kindle store. But my excitement was shortlived when I discovered that the publisher did not make this available for the iPhone (the most popular mobile device these days), which i carry all the time. I thought the world was advancing toward a single mobile device that will multitask. I carry several textbooks that were purchased on this site on my iphone and I love the convenience of not having to carry my iPad or laptop around. The decision to exclude the iPhone as one of the devices the book can be downloaded to is bizarre, and I hope the publisher will reverse this self-defeating decision. Sadly this title has lost a customer, and that's a shame!

I would never purchase anything from this person again. I don't think they should even be allowed to sell on the store. I am going to request a refund, because I still have not received my product. Sent email and got no response. Very unsatisfied, horrible business.

This is without a doubt the worst textbook I have ever had the misfortune of having to study from. I would describe it's "conversational style" as rambling and it's organization as labyrinthine. Trying to obtain understanding from this book is like trying to peer through mud and while I've managed it and am doing fine in the class it is despite this garbage text, not because of it. Questions at the end of chapters, on which unfortunately homework is usually based, often seem to relate only tangentially to what had been discussed (poorly) in the chapter. If your class requires this text, I strongly advise you to see if there is a section using a different textbook. I have never in years of education encountered a text that so hindered my understanding of a subject.

That's all the problems with the text if you were to buy a hard copy. Now, if you were to buy an electronic version, as I did, you will likely be as disgusted as I was by the interface which would have been buggy and outdated if it had been launched in the mid 90's, which is likely the last time Pearson updated it. You can look forward to waiting for pages to load, pages lagging and freezing as you scroll, being unable to search within the page because they're displaying as images, not text, presumably to prevent piracy -as if anyone could be possessed to share this atrocity! The logo in the top left hand corner is stretched and distorted because they can't be bothered to upload one scaled to the correct size. I mention the logo only to illustrate how little Pearson appears to care about any aspect of their product, even their branding of it. You can use Pearson's search to search within the book, but hopefully you're a very accurate typist as the search bar will half hide all the letters you've typed. Finding anything useful in your search is frankly quixotic as the results display free of chapter markings, and lag and freeze just like the pages of the book.

Have not really started to use the text - attended two sessions so far... but Pearson's Customer service sucks. Thank God for the store's customer service. Alexa rocks!!
This was my problem...

I bought this book new - the main reason was so I would have access to the online site and the ebook.

The book is heavy and it would be more convenient to have access to the evbook...well surprise, surprise you cannot get on the site unless your class is doing the lab. My professor had zero interest in the lab, so he had no class code this means I wasted money for computer access that I could not get. I called the publishers to see if they can either override it, or let me in with a dummy class code - they were no help and said contact the store for refund for the code :(

I said the store did not write the book - you did and the packaging clearly state access to ebook!

BE CAREFUL WHAT PEARSONS PUBLISHING PRODUCTS YOU BUY.

Extremely poor design for home work section. Too many little screens need to be opened to access information relevant to answer questions. Also similar to prior reviews, content goes in circle. The whole book business is becoming a rip-off with authors making it thicker and thicker with rambling information and college professor requiring usage of e-platform of the book to submit homework. No one seems to care that it may take a student's 20-25 hours of minimum wage salary to be able to afford this book.

Some chapters are easy to follow along but others can be confusing. The biggest complaint I have with this textbook is the chapter questions. It is very unorganized. The questions are sorted by objectives through the chapters and its a mixture of MC/discussion/explanation/etc. Most of the questions are so confusing or irrelevant that not even the professor can explain the answer. And the professor is a Ph.d, MBA, CPA/CFF, CIA, CFE, CICA. The professor can only provide the answer by looking at the solution manual and that's it. Exam question for the text is even more ridiculous. There are tons of questions that can be very tricky. Is it necessary? Only use this book if its required by the school/course. I'm sure most of us are only using this text because its required. Otherwise other cheaper books would be better for understanding and application.

No textbook is really worth 5 stars, in my estimation, because that is reserved for books that actually entertain me! Textbooks seldom do that. However, this auditing text is pretty darn good.

Each chapter is packed with true case studies, which are all interesting. The actual text material is easy to understand and read. There are HOARDS of questions, simulations, etc. in the back of each chapter. And the online materials the come with it are good as well, including some basic videos.

I came into my auditing class with little knowledge of that specific subject. I felt I left it some weeks later with a good understanding (good enough to pass the Auditing portion of my CPA exam on the first go around). So if you're assigned this text for YOUR auditing class, be happy. It's pretty good, and won't put you instantly to sleep...not many texts can say that!!

I have three degrees and love school, BUT, this is probably one of, if not THE worst textbook I have ever read. It is confusing, wordy, and overly complicated. I do not believe the material would be that difficult if it was presented differently. For anyone considering auditing as a profession, I would recommend reading some other texts before making a real decision, as this book will likely deter anyone.

I loved this book more than any other college text book I can remember. The writing is very clear, making a difficult subject understandable. The figures provided wonderful summary information, and the charts also helped to make things simpler. I read that some people thought the book repetitive. Well, I think I understand what they meant, but how else were they supposed to get the information across? This book will really teach you auditing, whether you like it or not.

In our opinion, because of the lack of a glossary (non-existent) and a sparse index (totally not helpful), the book reviews or descriptions in reference above do not present fairly, in conformity with any basic reasonable format textbook generally accepted in all of academia. In short, get a glossary in this book and make sure the index is functional... it appears like the author/publisher got towards the end and didn't feel like finishing. Have fun reading through unnecessary jargon.

I purchased this book from the school bookstore. It does not have chapter numbers, the binding is on the wrong side, so page numbers are on the binding making it hard to read. The most frustrating thing is that the index does not correspond to page numbers making it useless as a study guide. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BOOK!!!

You know what you can expect from the auditing book - a lot of studying... but seriously now, I was very impressed with the promptness of the seller. I ordered it and within couple days I received the book in perfect condition and wrapped - I ordered new one so I kind of expected it. Anyway, two thumbs up for the seller.
