Too much info for a short story....not enough opportunity to develop characters & I felt the ending was disconnected from the rest ok the story. I am a K S fan but will not read any more of her short stories.

This novella is designed to be a prequel up Karin Slaughter's newest book Pretty Girls. It gives the reader the background of Julia Carroll. a college student and journalist and how she is ultimately abducted. It was probably not necessary but I enjoyed reading it in anticipation of Pretty Girls being released.
