I hate choosing multiple choice answers. Don't really apply to this book which I found beautifully, humanely and sympathetically written. Albert handled a touchy, too-easily sensationalized subject with tact and, yes, kindness.

Although this is a fictional account of events, it seems that it is true to the people the author has written about, ER and Hick. It doesn’t go into sensationalism-just tells a story about two prominent women and how they cared for one another.

This book was a good blend of history and fiction. Hick was a powerful women in her own right and had an incredible life for a woman of that time. Enjoyed the story of her relationship with Eleanor and the insight into the country's fascination with ER.

So well written and researched. Wonderful fiction based on historical events and persons. Amazing story of Lorena Hickok as first female AP reporter and her accomplishments and relationship with Eleanor Roosevelt. A hard story to tell, but Susan. Wittig Albert does a formidable job.

I have read several books on Eleanor and Franklin so I was not certain I would learn much from this book. However I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot I did not previously know about Eleanor. This book was well written and held my interest.

Very well written and compassionate. Can see why Hickok wanted letters to remain sealed for, I think, 10 years. We are far more accepting of sexual orientation in today's society. Historically, a gem.

Susan never disappoints. Whether a new China Bayles or now historical fiction, her research is impeccable. She captures the essence of her characters and speaks in their voice. Long fascinated by Eleanor, I found this book to yet another dimension her life.

I am really enjoying the history of the Roosevelt administration and the relationship between the President, Eleanor, and the reporter who became the love of her life.
Anyone who enjoys reading about history will really like this book.
