Though this sequel wasn't as addictive as the first book, it certainly did deliver. I am less certain of the ending-- trying to decide if Rossi wrote herself into a corner. There were a few character developments I didn't care for and some characters that I didn't feel were taken far enough. BUT all in all it was a great read, one with which Rossi should see grand success.

This whole series is just really amazing and if you're considering buying this book...do it! It's so worth reading. I feel like Veronica Rossi does a really good job writing the relationships in this story. Not only the relationship between Aria and Perry, but the friendships between Aria/Roar, Perry/Roar, Cinder/Perry, and Perry/Reef are really heart felt and believable. And I can't even begin to describe how she tricks me with different people's motives in this series. Also, I love the science fiction aspects of this book. It's just adds more of a depth to the story and makes it more interesting.

P.S. Roar is a perfect character. You will love him.

I loved Under the Never Sky and eagerly awaited the release of Through the Ever Night so that I could learn what happened to Perry and Aria. It didn't disappoint! I could not put this book down - I love the main characters and how the author has revealed them as they develop through the story. Their relationship is full of passion and deep love, and somhow strikes a chord with this reader (heavy sigh). The development of the plot with Liv and Roar, and Sable is clever, creative. I was holding my breath to find out what happened next. Great twists and turns in the story made it impossible to put down (yes I know I have already said this but I am raving....). I can't wait for Book 3 - and am bursting because it is a whole year away!! Veronica Rossi has struck gold with this series!

I actually like this book better then the first book, and that almost never happens for me. I wished that I could say it was happiness all around, but there are some tragic things that happen in this book. The tragedy only makes the story more realistic but it was still hard none the less. I am interested to see how things are going to play out after the ending of this book. I wish book 3 was out right now :)

Through the ever night was an amazing second book to this amazing series, veronica rossi certainly has a talent.

The thing I loved about this book was that it wasn't all lovey dovey, while aria and Perry had an amazing bond this book was spent with most of their time apart from each other. You were able to experience other relationships building such as aria and roar, and Perry and his tribe. It showed the strength they all had together as a whole. This book was written beautifully, giving the characters such wonderful personalities and strengths that I couldn't put it down, I was hooked on every word. I absolutely cannot wait for the last book to come out!

I cannot wait for the third one in this installment. As I plow through these books I feel like a third will not be enough for me when it is all over. These books are awesome. I love the story, Veronica Rossi has an amazing imagination to come up with it. I hope it doesn't take a whole year for the next one to come out. Waiting for it is like having an itch I can't scratch.

Usually the second book in the trilogy is often lost in translation. It's often thought of as a bridge from the intriguing first book and a lead into the finale of the third book. But I was thoroughly impressed at how much this book can stand alone. I'm in love with the characters even more. STILL not predictable! I was glued to my Kindle and didn't get a lot of sleep throughout the trilogy commitment period!

Great continuation from the first book. So excited to read Into The Still Blue when it comes out! Written so it feels like you're right in the midst of it all seeing through both Perry's and Aria's points of view--like I said I couldn't put it down. Really enjoying reading this series.

I love this series! Its premise is unique, its characters are nuanced and the plot is intriguing. This book has a plot all its own and is not just a throw away #2 bookgetting us to real ending in book 3. It has a story arc all its own that is very compelling. The story was just as good as the first one, which was fantastic. Highly reccommend.

This book had even more action and turmoil than the first (Under the Never Sky). Aria is resented by Perry's tribe because she was a "dweller" in the hated domes. The conflict strains relationships within the tribe I won't go any further because I don't want to spoil a good read. You will enjoy it.

Again, this has been a wonderful read. The characters feel like family. The book was over too soon, my fault though, because I couldn't sit it down. The book did have an ending....a satisfactory ending...but it also left some unanswered questions. I will eagerly be awaiting the next book.

Veronica Rossi does a brilliant job nourishing the reader's brain with fully realized visual images. The overreaching canopy of the aether sky with its shifting moods and actions is stunning. I believe the poets and painters who populate the world in Through the Ever Night, and Under the Never Sky would surely use the aether as inspiration for their art.

After a year of reading sequels that could have been so much more, I couldn't have asked for a better way to end it by reading this book. This is everything a sequel should be. And for the first time, I'm giving a sequel five stars even though I gave the first book four. That's all I have to say.

Both books in this series captivated me. Although the concept of one "race" hating another just because of where they come from is not new, it was an interesting take on it being due to just where you came from. Having special powers that made others jealous created and sustained the tension, as well. The story has it all, romance, intrigue, running and fighting for your life, jealousy, political struggles, governance issues, freedom issues, good guys, bad guys, doing what is expedient, doing what is expected, following your heart..... you name it, it's got it!

Ugh! This was so nerve-wracking. I'm so conflicted. I was introduced to this really complex and interesting character just to have them killed in about five chapters. Then I spent the entire book worried Rossi would kill Roar at her whim.

Veronica Rossi has done it again with a beautifully written sequel to Under the Never Sky. It has been a long time since I felt so much the emotions the characters in a book portrayed, but Rossi has wonderfully continued writing completely developed characters. You understand the challenges that all of the characters face because of how well she has written them. While Aria and Perry are mostly apart in this book their love for each other grows and they find themselves more because of the other one. I can't wait for Into the Still Blue!

As always, Rossi takes the reader through amazing twists and turns on a thrill ride or love and adventure. This is the best written series that I've read since The Hunger Games. The characters are vividly real. Their pain, their hopes, their love - I can feel it all in the depths of my heart. From one who is very picky about good writing, I challenge you to put this story down if you can. You won't be able to, though. You'll be devouring the words as fast as you can until the very last page!

Look, if the publishers and the author didn't think of their pocketbooks over their readers, I would have been able to give this book five stars. As it is, the book, Kindle version (the cheapest) is $9.99. This isn't loanable. It doesn't have text-to-speech. For those of us who have poor eyes or other reading disabilities, there is no hope but to buy the Audible version to Whispersynch. That's another $12.99. Twenty-three dollars for this piece of crap? No, the story is okay. It is as good as other YA dystopias out there. Maybe fewer mistakes, but not topping any of the indies. Are ALL young adults made of money? Do they care about reading books this much? And now I have to put out $23 more to read book three? Are you kidding me? I am putting no more money out for this. I don't care what happens to the characters. If I can find the Kindle and Overdrive or CD versions I might check them out. Otherwise. I am done with this author and publisher. I don't care if they are geniuses, storywise! There is plenty more out there that is equal if not surpassing these stories.

Now the story itself was good. I did like the characters. I thought the world interesting. I did pull for the good ending. And while I was reading/listening to the story, I forgot about the price. Michael Goldstrom is okay as a narrator but not the best. Since half the book is from a female point of view, hearing the male voice made the female seem less than a person.

I hope when I get ready to publish my own books I remember how I felt about this series and do what I think is the right thing for all.

It was interesting to follow the story of Perry and Aria in a world were some have heightened senses and they have to work together to save the tribe from the aether, other tribes, and their own people at times.

Through the Ever Night doesn't fail to entertain. I had a hard time putting it down. The character development is awesome and the story even more intense. Love the characters and can't wait for the next book.

The storyline can get a bit cliche. The characters are predictable and there were no real surprises, I just became obsessed with finishing the series, which which I may never finish out of pure disinterest.

The first book was great...the second book was fabulous. So much non-stop action. Can't wait for #3. This series will make a good movie hope it gets picked up.

I'm going to start reading Roar and Liv next.

Love the male characters Rossi has created. Perry and Roar...so hard to choose--I want them both--but Perry is definitely my new book boyfriend ;) Wish I would have dragged out the read a little. And I really wish Ms. Rossi would have dragged out the series! Three books is not enough. I will be so sad to see it end.

Exciting reading for apocalyptic stories. Some parts I had to stay awake to see the outcomes. Riveting challenges that changes the way you think if something like this would really happen to the world.

I read the first book and was quite impressed with the main characters. Both are strong in their own way, and both are extremely likeable. Most of the time I find it hard to relate to female characters, especially when a romance is at play. But Aria, is sweet AND strong which makes her all the more unique. I found this book more enchanting than the last, with continuous action and a plot of page turning ups and downs. It has it's heart breaks but still delivers with a happy ending. Now I just can't wait for the third! I'm hooked.
