Number 3 in series (Finishing School) - Waistcoats and Weaponry

While it takes a bit to catch steam (pun intended), it pays off in spades. Most of the characters do a fair bit of growing up, not just Sophronia, and there are quite a few throwbacks to the main Parasol series for veteran fans. There are quite a few surprising twists and even more hilarious moments

Sophronia and the gang are up to more crazy antics in this installment. The action, dialogue, and teen angst keep the story moving at a fast pace and I was sad to read the last sentence. This series just keeps getting better, I highly recommend it!

As usual, Gail Carriger delivers a romping adventure in Victorian style! The plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat while the zany characters tickle your funny bone. Can't wait to read the final installment!
