Lisa Kleypas is one amazing author. I started the Hathaway series 2 books behind "Mine Till Midnight" and I still understood the characters and the time line. You fall in love with Amelia and Cam. All the Hathaway woman are beautiful and strong a nd eccentric and I love them!

For Lisa Kleypas to keep the storyline together in this series is just brilliant! She has you laughing, crying, but most of all loving the story line. The romance, the love, the passion, the desire, was such a build up I wanted to burst!

I gave it 5 stars because "THIS" is how a romance novel should be done!! Elegant, tasteful, passionate-strong man, enough sex to have you wanting and waiting for more and believe me she delivers!!

A keeper I will read again and again!!

I actually bought this series in ppbk. However, there are certain favorites that I like to re-read, so I purchased it for my new Fire 7in. Kindle Fire.
This series does not disappoint but I have a special affection for Cam Rohan and Amelia. I am sure there are plenty of reviews of the plot or this
book - take my word this is pure enjoyment.

The Hathaway series is such a fun series to read. The character development is wonderful so you can't help but fall in love with them. I read it in about a day and directly after finishing it I rushed off to download the next book. I highly reccommend it if you enjoy historical romances.
Stranger in My Arms :: Someone to Watch Over Me (Bow Street, Book 1) :: Blue-Eyed Devil: A Novel (Travis Book 2) :: Crystal Cove: A Friday Harbor Novel :: Cold-Hearted Rake

I enjoyed the book a lot - Kleypas, as usual, writes with lots of steamy romance and throws in some humor and action. The characters have their unique quirks, and I found the characters a lot of fun... The only problem is her teasers with Win and Merripen - she really left us readers hanging and then makes us wait until October for the next in the series.

One of the most scattered stories I've ever read! While I've enjoyed a couple of her other books and mild sex okay, I don't read these books for the graphic instruction of sex; yet this book seems to have more sex than story. The romance was totally missing and there were so many different back stories going on, the only culmination in this book was lots of sex. I really wish they'd start rating these books. I love the true Historical Romances, the passion and sexuality but good grief, I'm a grown woman with my own sex life and imagination and many of these books are beginning to seem like which writer can be the most detailed and even somewhat vulgar sometimes. If I want to read about all of the ways, words and types of sex there is, I'll buy some porn but wait; this is one of those books that at one time would have been rated as porn! I'll stick with an author that can write a beautiful love story without the hot sex. Does anyone remember one of the greatest historical romances of all time, like Gone With the Wind? I'm sorry but personally, I'm sick of reading sexcapades instead of romance. I want real story with real romance and this author just does not have it.

I adored this book! Rohan and his hummingbird, along with the whole Hathaway family, were irresistible. I loved the thoughtful exploration of Romany culture. Though I didn't expect the magic realism aspect, it worked well for the world and the characters. I'm excited to read more about this family!

I found the constant conversations between people in the book to be tedious. It reminded me of reading a Dick & Jane book. The amount of characters was distracting. The author spent time describing each character - between that and the "conversations" it was boring. I tended to skim over pages. It was not a good book. However, I loved some of her earlier books so hopefully this is just a hiccup for the author....

Lisa Kleypas books have many times reduced me to tears with the star-crossed loves and classic misunderstandings. This book however, bored me to tears. The longing, the flaws and the steamy tension were sad reflections of what her characters used to exude. I want heros like Alex Raiford and Lawless Lily. Not bland characters like Cam and Amelia. I found myself skipping pages and more interested in the secondary characters. The book would be ok if you didn't know it's lineage. This is the first Kleypas book that will not be shelved in my library.

Got mad with literal bodice ripping scene. I want my money back, though got it for $1.99 promo. I've read most of her contemporaries and several historicals. What was her editor thinking? This is part of what gives romance a bad rap. This story should have been updated leaving out this stupidity and saving the sagging middle that goes down hill. I threw the book to the wall in my mind. I will no longer buy this author while she is with her current pub/editor. She let her editors steer her wrong with "magic" junk in the Rainshadow trilogy that got bad reviews, and now doesn't put an updated, better spin on an old and horribly done story. Ugh. Probably love author, just not the ill advice of her editor/publisher. Never again.

Ms. Kleypas knows nothing about Romani behavior or cultural values. She has done the Romani people a great disservice by perpetuating inaccurate racial stereotypes in her novels. Uncivilized?
