Fast paced and intelligent. My biggest critique is that the twists, although intriguing, were underdeveloped. I like a read that makes me think and struggle to find the answers. It felt like the plot twists were served up quick and easy. I will be reading the next book in the series.

Very well written mystery. The author shares knowledge of several different careers and the information is very detailed. The plot sounds like it has been ripped from today's headlines but is not predictable. Looking forward to the next books in the series.

Well written in away that holds your attention thru the entire book.
The story line is interesting but also has side lines that tell other things about the main reporter, the FBI lady agent and the female prosecutor
Another very good novel by Lis Wiehl.

From reading previous reviews about this book I expected more. I am always disappointed when reading a book that falls under the Christian category and find that it is everything but....... So no, not a book I would recommend ...

Lis Wiehl is a powerhouse. Smart as a whip, drop dead gorgeous, a compelling public speaker and as it turns out...an accomplished novelist too. This book was a quick, clever and exciting read. Great summer fun.

I liked the layers within the story. As an Oregonian, I appreciated the setting and the realistic way it was woven into the story. The characters had depth, the plot had plausibility and intrigue. I will red more lis Wiehl.

Really enjoyed the suspense in this book. First reading of this author, but not the last. Thought knew who done it earlier in the book, but the writer turned your direction to others to cloud your suspensions. Will recommend this book to all my murder mystery reader friends.

I found the story intriguing and full of suspense. I would say that she incorporates a lot of her domestic violence views and experiences into the story though. If you like thrillers, this one is worth reading.

She does an excellent job educating the reader on the judicial process for people accused of crimes.

At first, I could not get interested in this book at all. I put it aside and was going to delete it, but i just cannot start a book and not finish it. I finally got interested enough to finish it. I like politics and did learn a couple of things about the page program. This story was not a deep mystery, but it was a fairly good average. I gave it a three rating because because I liked the main characters, but the book posed no real challenge.

I think I am actually reading one of Patterson's "Women's Murder Club". Come on, three professional women, gathering at their favorite watering holes, a reporter, DA, and FBI agent??........well written, but absolutely not original. I hope the next one has something we haven't already read.
