I absolutely loved this short story..I loved the characters, the male was strong and determined to keep his traditions yet willing to change and sacrifice it all for love, while the female was smart and confident to keep herself and the man that was meant to be hers I loved the interactions between the two. I really loved how the author told the story of two different species falling in love without losing who they are. Each changed for their love, yet keeping the greatness that made them individuals.

Jassa Merizen of Earth is running to Celestial Mates' ship, she is running from a futuristic earth where women are used for their brains and reproductive abilities, only they are impegnated my machines and then separated from the child at birth. This gives Jassa the backbone to escape their clutches and put her fate in the hands of Celestial Mates. When she arrives at the planet of her intended mate, she wonders if maybe she escaped one evil only to fall into the hands of another. She desired to be a mother, now she is mother to a planet.

Read how 2 souls of completely different species can overcome all that they've ever known for love.

On Earth in this future, single women are forced to have babies and give them up for adoption by other families. Jassa is an orphan who longs for a family of her own so she applies at Celestial Mates hoping to find a mate and start her own family. Vro is the king of his planet and he is excited to find a mate who doesn't care about his riches or position. When he sees Jassa, he is thrilled that she is his destined mate. His only problem is that he is entering his yearly mating cycle. The only cure is several days of hot sex. Vroe is afraid that his small human mated will be hurt in the sexual frenzy. Everyday with Jassa, he loves her a little more and he turns a little greener. Green skin is a symptom of the mating heat.
I loved Jassa as a character. She isn't afraid to fight for what she wants. She is very in touch with her feelings and very accepting of her new life. I also love Vroe. He is a strong protective mate and is willing to honor her customs.. His strong feelings for Jassa are touching.
I voluntarily received a free copy of this story.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest
Another great addition to the series!
We first meet Jassa, when she is escaping the police from the Department of Population ( DP ).
It is time to Jassa to get pregnant + to have her child be given for adoption. That is a big crapola.
Here salvation is the "celestial mates" agency.
She will be matched to her mate + escape the DP.
Enter Vroe, Jassa destined mate.
She is going to be queen + the mother of all the people of Vilea.
I don't think that that is what Jassa was expecting.
Another thing they forgot to tell her is that the males have a "going in heat" period.
Vroe feels the time coming + he is afraid to hurt Jassa.
Jassa wanted none of that + she took matters into her own hand.
Jassa + Vroe get their HEA.
There are no cliffhangers.

This is a great story about Jassa & her mate, Vroe. Jassa needs to leave earth, as she wants to be a mother & actually keep her child & bring it up herself. This is something she can not do if she stays on Earth. Jassa decides to contact Celestial Mates to see if they can find her mate & she only just makes it off the planet in time. Celestial Mates has found her mate, Vroe, just as he is about to enter his annual frenzy - which turns his skin colour green.

This is the start of a great story as Jassa & Vroe have to find their way forward, with culture clashes, meddling family, new pets & obsessed ex's all thrown into the mix.

This is a great world that Celia has built, with interesting plants, animals & most of all, people. I throughly enjoyed reading this story & hope that there are more coming!

Jassa really doesn't want to be a government captive breeder. She wants a husband and children she can keep, not sperm donors, forced conception, and a pregnancy that ends with her baby given away to strangers. She manages to escape via an alien marriage brokerage, and ends up matched to Vroe, leader of planet Vialea. An alpha male determined to wed, bed and breed with Jassa, Vroe calls her Vrya, and insists they do things his way. Jassa wants to be Jassa, her true self, not just the Vrya of Vialea. They spend much time and energy before one alpha alien admits he has REALLY met his match. There are no new turns in the road to HEA, but this is a great trip - good writing, well-paced plot, and nicely drawn if stereotypical characters. I enjoyed the book thoroughly and will definitely read Celia Kyle in the future.

Fabulous. I asked the author for an advanced copy because I couldn't wait to read this one. And it proved to be everything I hoped for.
Jessa, an orphan, went to Celestial Mates to find a man, and ultimately, a family she could have for her own. Her mate proved to large, in charge, and turned green when wrapped in a mating frenzy.
But leave it to an Earth woman to be just what this alien leader needs in his life.
And when they finally get down to the mating part, turn up your AC. Hot, fun, and fast paced.
You'll be wanting to fill out your own application at Celestial Mates.

Love Celia Kyle's books. Jassa is running away from the earth's DP Officers because she has reached the age to have a child and they will stop at nothing to make sure she fore fills her duty. Jassa has other ideas she has joined Celestial Mates so she can have a child that will not be taken away from her and an added bonus is a male that is just right for her. The Celestial Mates Agency has found her perfect match with Vroe a ruler of Vialea. It might have been nice for the agency to let her know that her prospective match turns green when in his mating heat and also he has sharp teeth and nails. Thank you to Celia Kyle/Erin Tate for the wonderful review copy. Loved it. I am looking forward to reading more of the Celestial mates books. Highly recommend this book.

This is an entertaining sci-fi alien romance, and a good entry in the Celestial Mates series (which is written by different authors). The story is interesting, and the couple is likeable. I liked that the H realized she could be his mate, but still retain her own individuality -- that she didn't have to give up her past like the mates of other rulers of his world had done. And I really liked that she was able to help him thru his mating urge, even though he had been sure that a human would be too physically weak to withstand it. I would have liked a epilogue a few months or years later, just to get an update on their relationship.

I really love the way this author tells a story. She is wonderful at creating characters that get to you within the first couple of pages and then stick with you through the whole story, and Jassa and Vroe are no different.

Jassa is on the run from earth’s government, so she contacts Celestial Mates and is matched with Vroe, the leader of his planet. The chemistry between these two characters is amazing and the world this is set in is unusual and creative. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of it in ensuing books.

The author provided me with an ARC of this story and I voluntarily chose to post this review.

Great addition to the Celestial Mates Series. Jessa was definitely what I like in a female heroine she was strong determined and even though she was sent to and alien plant she stay true to herself. Overall a good fast paced story a little drama in the end but everyone live HEA. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way

Jassa is from earth. Since she is getting older and not mated the government want her to have a baby but she doesn't get to keep it. No they plan to take it from her. She wants a mate a her own children so she goes to celestial mates.
Vroe the hight warlord of Vialea wants a mate who wants just him not his power, so he turns to celestial mates.
Can these two make it seeing they come from 2 different worlds? Add to that there are two people trying to brake them up.
Fun read! It had action, drama, betrayal and spice.
Don't miss this one it's syfy-tasic
Voluntarily reviewed a free copy and I honestly LOVED it

Come through honey!
It was a great read. Vroom was sexy as all get out. I have no complaints about that male.
But Jessa. Oh how she made me happy!
She was so bad a** without even knowing it!
Briva or whatever he trashy name is deserved all of that and more!
Teon... I'm kinda conflicted. I feel like I want revenge for his underhanded trickery but I also feel that while he was overly delusional, jealous, and foul he still actually loved his brother and wanted to love and be loved by someone (woman) so bad.
That planet needs some real women, cuz theirs suck.

Not So Little Green Man (Scifi Alien Romance) (Celestial Mates)
by Celia Kyle

Another fun read for the Celestial Mates series.

A short read that is kinda fast paced. Yes, there was a jump in there, but it still came together well.

Love the futuristic feel at the beginning of the book. Really makes you wonder just how things are going be for future generations.

Jessa and Vroe are great characters and I would love to find out what happens with Teon.

I really enjoyed this story. Jassa is running away from earth so that she is not forced to have a child and that child is given to a family. That's just the beginning. A trip through the Galaxy finds her on an alien planet with a chosen mate. Instant attraction! But there is a big problem. Her mate turns green when he's in heat...firez...and humans can't withstand the firez! Jassa will not be disuaded, even if that means tackling the other woman who dared to try and sate her mate's firez. A good read with tender moments.

This was a cute fast paced alien romance. It takes place in the span of a few days so that shows how fast, but it was still really cute. I love the whole fates mates aspect when it comes to paranormal romance and this short novella got that spot. I plan to read more in this series and see the other Warriors find their mates. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Once again Celia Kyle has crafted another fantastic romance. What woman would not travel whatever distance to be with her true-mate/ soul-mate, to have that undeniable connection. Not sure if that connection is everyman's dream, because I am not male, but it is nice to think so. Yes, I would love a return visit to this world.

++ I have chosen to give honest feedback of my EPUB reviewer copy of this title. Read with a free non-the store TTS program for impaired readers, because everyone should be able to enjoy a good story. Thanks!

As always Celia Kyle produced another awesome romance story. Jassa just wants to be a mom, but the current policies just allow for her to be nothing more than a breeder. What's a girl to do? Why run to the nearest Celestial Mates office of course!
Vroe doesn't want a breeder for his mate he wants a true mate and a mother to his children. Celestial Mates matches these two lonely hearts together.
What follows when they get together? Lots of lust, some laughter, and bunches of intrigue., which resolves into unexpected HEA.

-Kindle Unlimited
-quick read
-Ms. Kyle always has a good setup for a world
-The sex scene aren't plentiful but work
-Not enough detail. I think the setup for Jassa being on the run and diving into this relationship was good, but there is no follow through. So many dangling questions regarding her past, perhaps seeing more of this 'verse would have help raise my rating.

The Bottom Line
I liked it enough, though I could have loved it with just a bit more (information, humor or sex, take your pick).

I do love the Celestial Mates books! Each one is different and complete. In this story we meet Jassa and Vroe. Overcoming their cultural differences is the focus of this story and I believe it was very well done. Action, adventure and some steamy romance. Can't wait to read more from this series!! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Those Celestial Mates are at it again! A warrior who needs a partner to lead his planet, and a woman who wants to raise a family. Being matched by Celestial Mates does not guarantee a smooth path ahead! Tradition and family can get in the way as a man and woman learn about one another. Great story!!

Another great story from this author, it is very well written, fast paced and the characters are such fun to read. Two totally different individuals, from two totally different worlds, able to over come their differences with their cultures and fall in love. I really enjoy these sci-fi romances, and it had a great HEA.

I absolutely loved this book! It was a great story of two people falling in love and at the same time getting to know each other even though they were matched to each other. They had to learn each others customs and personalities. This author is always on my must read list. I volunteered to review this book that I received as an ARC because I loved it!

Enjoyed and liked the characters, would have liked to get to know them as they grow into their relationship. Only one thing bothered me and was the constant agonizing question if he would seek release for his "yearly male heat," don't remember the name for it, with another female. But it ended good and there was no betrayal, so that's good.

Excellent book. Just not long enough. Lol. Loved the story line. Would have loved a little more of Jassa's background story though. Also loved that her reasons for making the change in her life became her true calling on another planet. Hope there will be more stories for Vroe & Vyra Jassa.
Enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Thanks Celia!

Jesse was running for her life. If she was caught she would be forced to have a baby and then have the baby taken away from her. Vroe was waiting for his mate. Celestial mates had found him a mate and he couldn't wait to meet her. She is human and he is going into his heat scared he might hurt her. The book was cute fast and over.. ?

So normally I usually read shifter books written by Ms. Kyle and do not usually read Scifi but this book was very enjoyable. This story was definitely a page turner and kept the readers attention from start to finish. Started this book in the afternoon and did not put down until I was finished. Heat factor on this book is very steamy.

Really liked. Main thing was I would have liked more of a backstory for Jassa's Earth. She is running from the police but there really isn't much about why society evolved the way it did. Will definitely read more of this series.

Not wanting to become a brood mare Jassa flees earth destined for her arranged mate on another planet. Vroe has waited for his arranged mate because there isn't one on his planet. Communication causes some misunderstandings and customs even more but the pull each feels for the other will not be denied. Change is a good thing.

I so want the fluffy, squirmy six-legged Vialean "vermin" that Jassa named "puppy-cats" to actually exist. Just adorable. The book is really fun and sexy and the way that both characters bend without losing who they are is great. I received a free Advanced Reader Copy, and I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Hints at a complex new universe. A distopian be autocracy on Earth, an intergalactic dating agency and new worlds. Good, but you have us spoiled. Come on, Celia, find the fun and freshness of your shifters. It's an interesting world with limitless possibilities, now bitch slap some crazy into it.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were interesting and I enjoyed the story. My only complaint is that it is too short. The characters were developed but I would have liked more background particularly about the situation on earth. I was also unclear on a few point in the story that seemed to be brushed over. But overall it was a great, quick read. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I choose this rating because the book is well written. Characters drew you in and made you feel apart of their story. Makes you hope that one day aliens would really be like this hot, sexy and devoted. SEX SCENES were okay could have been more and more details in that area.

An amazing story about a woman leaving earth to be married/mated to a powerful alpha male ruler. While she is submissive in her own way, she knows not to give in too much. I love their interactions and how she teaches her man about the love that humans give and how good it is to recieve the love and to give it in return.

I wish there was more dialogue between the main characters. Storyline was interesting but I'm getting really bored. The lines each one says don't have more than 3 or 4 words all together.. are all the books from this writer the same?

I enjoyed this quick read. I mostly liked the characters even though I found them a tad frustrating at times. There is a "bad guy" but I found him more manipulative, jealous and not all bad. If this is the start of a new series, we may learn more about their world and how it differs. Not just from ours but each of theirs too. I would have liked an epilogue.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and I voluntarily decided to leave my honest review.

Always interesting entering an alien world and see the differences but also the sameness. Celestial Mates somehow always makes the right choices between two species. Jassa and Vroe have an instant connection.
