I envisioned this as a cutesy, fluffy, possibly porny read but what I got was a story with surprising depth and poignancy that spoke to me.

I first identified with Joy. Joy is a Texan who loves bright colors, pushes herself to take risks yet enjoys the little things like hot pink doors, rooftop terraces at the top of 84 uneven stairs and all the sensual experiences life has to offer. She has a big heart, a big laugh and loves fragrances.

She's a chemist who's moved to Paris to reinvent herself, taken a job at L'Artisan and begins working on a new fragrance. Confession: I love perfume. I feel the same way about it that Joy does: I want it to remind me of a time, a place, to conjure up those feelings and memories.

Griffin, a British translator, has been living in Paris saving up to run a marathon in Indonesia. He thought his last job would be his ticket out but the money fell through. A 3 month gig comes along that will put him over the top and he'll be able to cross yet another item off his brother's bucket list.

Only the job is translating for the beautiful, bold American chemist who turns him inside out. The UST between the two of them is as thick as pea soup, but since they work together they decide to be friends. Only they're both outrageous flirts who seem to truly revel in cranking each other up. The back and forth between them was amusing and entertaining. I really love when an author creates chemistry between characters but isn't afraid to show just how much they desire each other.

The desire simmering between them increases into a rolling boil the more time they spend together, exploring the city, learning more about each other with Griffin teaching her French. But when they finally realize they have a finite amount of time left, the lid blows off.

"Time is the only thing that matters; it's the ultimate non-renewable resource."

The sex kinda blew my doors off. I think it was the French thing. Maybe it was the Paris thing. It definitely had something to do with the fact that these two give zero f**** about who sees them in flagrante delicto-rooftop terrace or on the couch with the shutters open... zero f**** given.

I also loved how Paris is just as much of a secondary character as Christian or Elise. I do ? Paris.

The naturalness of Joy and Griffin's story tugged on my heartstrings. Both are adults who read like adults. The lack of dramatics between them was a breath of fresh air. Their honesty with one another was also refreshing and their HEA was so storybook, gloriously romantic that it left me grinning from ear to ear and wanting more.

I loved this so much that even though I got it through the Romance Audible package I think I'll spend a credit on it so I can have it forever.

The narration was... EARGASMIC!!!!!! Richard Armitage's voice is like sex and Mt. Dew and chicken wings all rolled together. What? Don't judge. The Dew + quality chicken wings is enough to make angels weep. He does a stupendous job and I will be scouring Audible for more books narrated by him. Grace Grant holds her own as well. Both emoted well and varied the accents of the other characters.

Wanderlust went straight to the favorites list for this year and if you're a fan of Paris, contemporary romances filled with UST or a narrator that will make you want to crawl inside your phone and do naughty, naughty things to them, you'll want to add this to your TBR.

Wanderlust is Lauren Blakely's newest adventure. I have read all, yes all of Lauren's books, and I have to say this is up there with my favorites! It's one of her more romantic books. Yes, it's set in Paris, but along with the city, the characters are just swoony and fun and sexy. An American and a Brit in Paris. Both living there temporarily for two very different reasons. They meet and there's instant attraction and electric chemistry. Griffin is working as a translator and he's pretty much a local now. He loves the city and believes he's seen it all. Joy is a chemist working for a perfume company. She loves Paris. Everything about it. The streets, the sights, the smells. But she can't speak the language. When Griffin is hired as her translator for work, she enlists his help on a personal level. Help her learn the language of love. It's probably not a good idea to get involved with him, but he's just so…perfect. The sexy accent, the handsome face, his attitude. Their attraction is palpable! A rainy day and an umbrella brings them together. The kiss books are written about. The kiss to end all kisses. The kiss that ruins you for all other kisses. The perfect kiss. There's no going back now. Joy shows Griffin so many small things about Paris that he never knew. He's seeing this city from her eyes and he loves it. Griffin is teaching Joy more than just the language. She's learning things she never would otherwise. But there is a timeline on this affair. Griffin is leaving. He has dreams to fulfill. Joy is working in Paris, trying to achieve her dreams. But what happens when dreams change? When things shift and your heart begs to make decisions? Can you have it all with the person you love in the most perfect city in the world? Yes, the answer is yes. You just have to jump. Put faith in yourself and the other person. Take the risk. I loved this story. So much. As I said, this is one of my favorite books by Lauren. She can write anything. Steamy, sexy, erotic. But her swoony romances with extra heat always seem to be my favorites. And, just because it's romantic doesn’t mean it's not hot. Oh, it's HOT! Griffin. I can't even with him. He's so sexy with his accent and his words. He's the perfect man. Joy is funny, smart and sassy. I want to be friends with her! Paris is the third character in this love story. I've never been, but this is the first time that I really want to go. I need to walk those streets. Eat all the chocolate. Shop. Find a pink door…Overall, I absolutely loved it. I laughed, cried, swooned and was fanning myself!

This book is pure Lauren Blakely PERFECTION!!! The minute I started this newest book by one of my favorite authors I could literally feel myself being transported to Paris. This is all thanks to the very minute attention to detail of all things Paris. The colors of the doors, the mist in the air, the boulangeries on every street corner, I was in Paris with Griffin and Joy.

Joy has moved to Paris for an amazing career opportunity and while she's been taking French lessons, she still finds the need for an interpreter and queue Griffin a Brit working in Paris. Their first meeting was truly a "meet cute." I found myself swooning from the get go there was also some major chemistry oozing out of my speakers when they spoke too....yes I listened to this book rather than reading it and for me this made my experience gold medal worthy....the narrators were truly magnificent. Richard Armitage and Grace Grant are EVERYTHING I look for in an audiobook.

There's some secrets our H/h are hiding, and there's one that particularly tugged at my heart having my eyes tear up. I could feel the anguish coming through each word. But finding the other part of your soul helps heal those things that the character felt so much pressure to uphold.

I especially loved how Joy found herself and who she's meant to be while living and breathing all things Paris. Her vibrancy was smile inducing with every word she spoke. There's a giddiness about her and how she's really embracing her new life. A particular scene that struck me when Joy was looking at flats in the building she's going to live in and her "more windows" just filled me with so much happiness.

What this all comes down to is that this book has eclipsed all of Ms. Blakely's books for me and this is a surprising statement given my over abundance of love for Clay and Julia...if you're a fan of Ms. Blakely you'll completely understand how monumental this statement is for me.

Thank you Ms. Blakely for transporting me to all the wonders of Paris.

'This woman might be the toughest client I’ve ever had, since I’m going to spend every second resisting her.'

Want to know what’s more romantic than Paris? A book written by Lauren Blakely that’s set in Paris! I loved this story, it was full of all the things we love about Lauren Blakely books but kicked up a notch with the backdrop of arguably the most romantic city in the world. I’ve never been to Paris but just through reading this book I was transported to this beautiful city and swept away by the whimsy and charm, falling in love with the setting as much as I fell in love with Joy and Griffin. This story was sweet, funny, incredibly sexy, and beautifully heartwarming. I may have even shed a few tears toward the end there! I loved everything about it!

“If you want something badly enough, you make it happen.”
I have to wonder if that includes someone, too, or if her work, and mine, will stand in the way before I chase my desire to cross all the bridges to everywhere.

Joy Danvers-Lively is moving from her home in Austin, TX to finally fulfill her dream of living and working in Paris. She’s looking forward to a fresh start and to immerse herself in the culture and the language of this enchanting city. Things are off to a good start when she meets Griffin Thomas, the charming Brit, whose sexy accent nearly charms the pants off her. She’s keen on the idea of a Parisian fling with this witty and hot stranger until she learns he’s the man assigned to be her personal translator and will be the key to her success in her new job. Reluctantly, they agree to just be friends instead but resistance is futile because when you have as much chemistry as these two have, it’d be criminal to not give in to it. They spend all their time together, in the office and out, and it’s clear they are falling fast. But, Griffin made a promise long ago that he’s determined to fulfill and doing so will take him away from Paris for good. Following their dreams is what brought them together, but those same dreams may be the very thing that pulls them apart for good.

'This is the snapshot of everything I want right now. To have her like this and to be used by her for pleasure.
This woman I’ve spent my days with. Spent my evenings with. Spent all my words on. This woman I want so much more of.'

I loved these characters, both as individuals and as a couple. Joy was ambitious and I was so happy that she finally got to follow her dreams of living in Paris. I thought her acclimation to this new city and the new language was so well done. The fear and isolation she felt due to the language barrier were so believable, I felt my own anxiety rising just thinking of being in a situation like that. But she persevered and I celebrated every little victory as she continued to learn and become more comfortable there. I loved her free spirit and ability to see things that others might miss. Then there’s Griffin, he was so swoonworthy and such an amazing guy! From the promise he made that he was hell-bent on keeping to the way he helped Joy and how great he was with her, it was easy to fall in love with him. These two were so sweet together and their chemistry was off the charts. Things were so easy between them, however, there was a looming expiration date on their time together and it’ll make your heart squeeze. But I loved how everything plays out, it was the perfect resolution while not sacrificing the things that were most important to them.

If you’re looking for adventure, whimsy, and a swoony love story, then you definitely need to grab a copy of this one! It’s always a treat to read a Lauren Blakely book, but if one of her other books is like eating a delicious, buttery croissant, this book was definitely like eating a decadent chocolate croissant!

'I didn’t come to Paris to fall in love, but Paris had other plans for me.'

6 Hearts!

Wanderlust is Lauren’s next epic romance. I have read all of Lauren’s novels and loved each and every one of them but this is one of my favorites!! It was everything I expected and more.

Three months. That is how much time they had to explore the city of lights. To discover the unexpected in one of the most magical cities in the world. Three months of falling in love...

Joy has always wanted to visit Paris and now she will be living there. This was her time. She was ready for a fresh start. It was time to let go of the past and just live. To explore. To find herself. This job opportunity for running a fragrance lab in Paris came at the perfect moment, it felt right. She wasn’t looking for anything more than this. Then he spoke. She wasn’t expecting him. She could handle a man with an Australian accent. She could handle a man with a French accent. A man with a British accent made her weak in the knees especially one that looked like him. Griffin Thomas. Her translator.

Griffin loved American women. They were bold. They were confident. They knew what they wanted. And she wanted to learn the language. She also wanted to make their time pleasurable just they way he did but they couldn’t go there. But they could walk the streets of Paris. Find the unexpected. Tour the city like they belonged there. Take long walks with great conversations about dreams, family, traveling, and angels. Drink hot chocolate and walk through pink doors. Until one of them breaks and they have the most epic first kiss. This is how you fall in love in Paris.

Three months until one has to get on a plane to fulfill a dream. A promise.

Today...I was in Paris. The way Lauren describes the city made me feel that way. I have never been there but I felt it. As I was reading it was like I was walking the streets with Griffin and Joy. Sitting at a cafe eating a chocolate croissant. Walking in the rain. It was a beautiful day. Griffin and Joy made it even better. Their connection. Their beauty. Their love. Their silliness. I loved Griffin. He is one sexy Brit but he is more than that. He is loyal. He is sweet. He is romantic. He is also filthy. And he makes Joy feel desired, adored, and strong. And I loved her. She goes for what she wants. She is brave, funny, and full of passion. Together, they are magic.

Overall...it’s one of the most romantic books of 2018! I usually cry once in a Lauren book but this time around it was a handful of times. I was invested in this couple. Not just because of their love and amazing sex. It was also about their hopes and dreams. Together or apart.

Quotes:

This woman might be the toughest client I’ve ever had, since I’m going to spend every second resisting her.

“I’ll take the rain to get the diamonds,” she says, then reaches into her bag and fishes around for something.

“Enjoy every day, and eat it like a fruit,” I say in a low, dirty whisper.

Note: I listened to the Audible version and read a Kindle copy of Wanderlust, so my review will include my commentary on both.

When your love of Lauren Blakely, British accents, and Paris all converge in one book, you know it’s going to be epic! In fact, I found that it was a brilliant combination of jaunty, saucy, sweet, and swoony with just a touch of seriousness and sadness. With Lauren’s signature humor, banter, and wit, along with the depth and development, Wanderlust is an absolute gem to both listen to as well as read.

Joy is a bubbly Texas native looking to start anew in the City of Light, while Griffin is a British expat looking to leave Paris and live his life to the fullest. They meet by chance and have flirtatious conversations dripping with electric chemistry — but then life throws a wrench into their budding relationship: they are actually pseudo-work colleagues and Griffin is only in town until the end of his current contract as a translator. Cue the sad violins.

Of course, as they spend more and more time together, they inevitably grow closer. From flirty strangers to friends and then to more, the pacing of the relationship is actually quite perfect. I loved how they get to know one another, share the saddest parts of their pasts with one another, and build a true friendship before the inevitable happens. They help one another let go of their hurt and disappointment, and that was the most satisfying aspect of the story for me.

As for the audiobook, the narration is amazingly stellar perfection! The actors are absolutely perfect for the storyline and for the characters. As many people know, the choice of narrator can make or break an audiobook, but the smooth British accent of Richard Armitage and the effervescent Grace Grant bring both the characters and Paris to life. Like Joy, I’m a sucker for a British accent, but when he also speaks fluent French? Ooh, la la. (Yeah. That was good. Really good.)

I don’t care whether you choose to listen to this book or read it on your device (or both like me), just do yourself a favor and read it. The romance is top-notch, the characters are fun and swoony together, and the witty banter is worth its weight in gold. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

I absolutely ADORED this story!

"This feels riskier than flirting. This is exposing my true heart."

Joy is on a mission to start over in a city she's dreamed of seeing since forever. She's escaped a toxic relationship and plans to enjoy her freedom, and live her life the way she wants to live it. She never expected to meet a sexy Brit in Paris.

"This woman might be the toughest client I've ever had, since I'm going to spend every second resisting her."

Griffin is on a mission to complete a bucket list. He's already crossed off a few things, and soon plans to move on to more tropical climes to complete another item on the list. He never expected to meet a beautiful, vibrant American transplant, who is in need of his expert linguistic skills.

"I hold them to his nose. "What do they smell like?"
He inhales, then steps closer, bringing his mouth to my ear. "Like this woman I've been spending all my time with and am dying to kiss.""

Sensual. That's how I'd describe this book. It's a smorgasbord of delight for the senses. From the sights of Paris, to the taste of pain au chocolat, to the scent of Joy's perfumes, how the little touches between the characters ignite their desires, and the sound of my own amusement at the repartee between them.

"He's looking at me like I'm the thing that makes the most sense to him right now. Like we make sense."

Joy is aptly named. I loved her delight and wonder in the little things, as well as the bigger things. She might have previously been in a bad relationship but she came across as strong, vivacious, and fun - ready for adventure. Griffin is just gorgeous! I loved his flirtatious ways, his verbal dexterity, and his noble heart. These two were SO GOOD together. I found their slow burn romance incredibly sexy. The ending was wonderfully perfect!

This author is such a wonderful writer. Her writing seems effortless yet hugely evocative. I'm re-visiting Paris in a few weeks and plan to do my own Wanderlust-inspired explorations!

Reading a book by Lauren Blakely is like drinking a fine wine where each taste just gets better and better.  Wanderlust takes you on a journey which captures your imagination thru all of your senses.  The readers can smell the fragrances crafted by Joy, a Texan fragrance chemist, who has relocated to Paris for her job.  The readers can imagine the taste of the chocolate in the croissant as it melts on Joy's tongue.  This reader could hear the sexy British accent belonging to Griffin, assigned as Joy's French translator.  This reader felt goosebumps when the author shared Griffin’s reaction to Joy when he said:

“I dip my head toward the crook of her neck, bending until my nose is inches away from her bare flesh. The scent of lush gardens floats into my nose as I close my eyes and draw a deep breath. My skin heats, and my bones hum. My nerve endings snap to attention.

Along with other parts.”

Oh my! I wish Griffin would sniff my neck! ?

This reader enjoyed discovering Paris thru the eyes of the author, who traveled to the City of Lights when researching for this book.  In Wanderlust, Lauren Blakely avoided the tourist traps, instead focusing on sundials and angels hidden in plain sight throughout the city.  She brought Paris to life in this reader's imagination, with her descriptions of the sites, smells and ambiance unique to Paris.  But this story is about so much more than the location.  It is about a man hoping to fulfill the list of promises he made to his dying brother.  A dream they both shared to see the world together.  It is also about forging ahead after a toxic relationship almost broke Joy's spirit. Joy hopes that she will be able to reinvent herself by embracing a new language and culture. Instead Joy finds her true self and the love of her life.

I received an advanced copy to review and have provided an honest opinion. However, it is not difficult to be honest when reviewing books by Lauren Blakely because she never disappoints! This reader highly recommends anything written by Lauren Blakely.

This is my favorite kind of romance! Fun, oh-so-passionate, and incredibly romantic, Wanderlust just had it all! Lauren Blakely captured every single one of my emotions in this intoxicating and dreamy journey of following your heart and finding yourself along with your true love, and there is no better place for this to happen than in the 'City of Love' itself!

Joy and Griffin are definitely one my favorite storybook couples that I’ve come across. They were so easy going and relatable, and I loved their zest for life! They also complemented each other perfectly, and their playful and witty banter together was so fun to follow. The build of desire and passion between Joy and Griffin was off the charts, because seriously, these two were meant to be together! That being said, there were definitely challenges and complexity to Joy’s relationship with her handsome Englishman. Parts of their journey completely broke my heart, but it soared with happiness for them in the end!

Lauren Blakely has completely outdone herself with her writing in this story! I loved this unique storyline, which was incredibly fun, adventurous, and romantic. The story had so much personality with the way Blakely incorporated her witty humor along with her funny little nuances to make me smile. It was full of passion and emotion, perfectly placed to pull at my heartstrings, give me all the feels, and then completely capture my heart. Blakely’s descriptive writing captured all of the sights and sounds to bring the setting in Paris to life. I felt as if I could taste and smell all of the lovely flavors that she placed on every page, and her beautiful poetic prose made the story even more dreamy!

Reading 'Wanderlust' just made me incredibly happy! I swear I went through the whole gamut of emotions in the story, not in the oh-so-angsty way, but in the amazingly-feel-good way. Lauren Blakely totally whisked me away and made me feel as if I was on this truly fun, whimsical, and completely romantic journey myself!

I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

Lovely story of taking leaps. You will laugh, cry, and scream along with the characters. Primarily based in Paris, you may pick up a little French, ooh la la!! I think I could feel the strain in my calves every time Joy ventured to her apartment and I could see all the curiosities Griffin was pointing out. It almost felt as though I was waking, running, biking along the Parisian boulevards and rues with them. And now a bit about the story...

Joy is transferred to Paris by her company. She's tried to learn the language in advance, but there are just some crazy idiosyncrasies. Like there is one excited for woo hoo and another for excited 'down there', and Joy has opportunities to use both. Her company has hired a translator to accompany her part time, as translating scientific terms can be a challenge. Griffin turns out not only to be the hot Frenchman she met the day before, but also her British translator. As they struggle over crossing the line between professional and lovers, they truly get to know each other and fall for each other. Now if only they could decide to do something about it.

Favorite passages:
- I learned what’s truly valuable in real estate is how many people you let have a key.
- “Maybe you’ve spent the last few years doing what you thought you should, and now it’s time to do what you want.”
- That’s like asking her to live an unscented life.
- There’s only one hot Frenchman I want, and he’s British, too.
- “... before I was whacked with the it’s-so-damn-obvious stick.” “Did it hurt?” she asks playfully,...
- “Everything’s better together,”
- “I learned then that some things are right in front of us, and we just have to look up.”

5+++ stars for Wanderlust!!! I loved loved loved Lauren Blakely's newest release. This book is the sweetest, dreamiest, most magical work from this author to date. With a swoony British hero, an effervescent American heroine and a passionate love story, there is no doubt in my mind Lauren Blakely has another winner on her hands!! I mean c'mon, that's romance gold.

I am so in love with the characters. Griffin and Joy share an insane level of chemistry. I couldn't get enough of them. I enjoyed their fun and flirty interactions and their made for each other connection. Right off the bat, you noticed how perfect they are together. Lauren Blakely always gives us the best heroines. Women who are real and good. Joy is a freakin’ delight in Wanderlust. She’s fun, sassy and bold. My favorite thing about her is how she loves. Whether it's a guy, chocolate or a pink door, she loves with everything she has. I absolutely adore her!! Then there’s Griffin. He's just another perfect Lauren Blakely hero. Incredibly charming, hotter than hot, and just plain yummy. I'm crushing pretty hard on him. There were moments that I wanted to give him a hug because of what he lost. I'm so happy Griffin and Joy have each other.

I have never been the girl who longed to go to Paris. Beautiful city but it just wasn't for me. That is it wasn't until now. Lauren Blakely did a phenomenal job painting a portrait of a gorgeous city filled with hidden gems and unknown quirks. I now have another item added to the ever-growing bucket list thanks to Wanderlust.

I loved this book so much and I highly highly recommend it. Wanderlust is the kind of book where you let out a dream sigh when you reach the end and then make plans to reread it. So romantic and charming. Pick it up immediately.

When Joy is offered a new position with her employer in Paris, she really can't see a reason not to embrace it, her love life is currently a joke, and with having lingering memories all around her she is beginning to feel a little smothered by her past, so it's time for something new. But nothing could prepare her for what she discovers on the other side of the pond... a certain British something that has a lethal accent with the power to weaken the knees of women in a fifty mile radius.

When Griffin Thomas meets his new client he is instantly taken with her, she is a breath of fresh air in his mundane world, but he can't get wrapped up in his attraction for her, because he has big plans for himself and relationship would totally derail that. But he loves spending time with her, and discovering all her fascinating traits...

Wanderlust is a gratifying story of adventure, self-discovery, healing and falling in love... it's one that will make you smile, move you beyond words, and leave your knees a little weak!! I thoroughly enjoyed this newest offering from Ms. Blakely, it had her trademark sexiness, but also had a softer emotional side too, that really stirred up the feels. And I have to mention these exquisitely crafted characters of hers too, Joy was downright admirable, the way she decided to step out of her element and brave a whole new world. It was not only inspiring, but also a lot of fun to watch her maneuver through and adjust to all the changes. And then of course their is the mesmerizing Mr. Griffin Thomas, not only was I taken with his accent, but also his genuine personality, and his outlook on life... he was so much fun to dissect and follow throughout this literary journey. If you are looking for a heartfelt read, that is heavy on inspiration and the feels, and of course sexiness too, then I highly recommend you take a chance on Wanderlust, it is sure to leave you satisfied!!

Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely

Oh my goodness. My heart is so full after finishing this book and even hours later I haven’t stopped thinking about Joy and Griffin and their story as a couple and their individual stories that brought them together.

Joy has newly transplanted herself from Austin to Paris, the city of lovvve where she happens upon gorgeous and delightful Griffin. Joy has moved for her job and Griffin is there to fulfill a bucket list and also act as an interpreter for individuals and companies requiring his services - which is fortuitous given that Joy barely speaks a word of French. They meet in a coffee shop and the attraction between them is instant but they wisely (if naively) nip the attraction in the bud when it becomes apparent that Griffin will be Joy’s interpreter throughout her time in Paris.

I don’t want to say much else about the book because I think it just needs to be experienced. Paris is a city I’ve always wanted to visit and reading Wanderlust made me feel like I was there. The sights, the smells, everything is described so beautifully that I felt like I was experiencing it through Griffin and Joy. Theirs is a really beautiful and romantic love story. They shared some of Blakely’s signature banter but there was so much more. I laughed as I’m wont to do and cried because some parts moved me so much. It really was Ç'est Magnifique!

I listened to this audiobook first and then still read the book because it was that awesome!!! I feel like I have just returned from the most magical, fun and romantic trip to Paris courtesy of Lauren Blakely! It was absolutely fabulous!! The narrators were phenomenal and really brought Griffin and Joy to life in the most wonderful of ways. I definitely have a trip to Paris on my bucket list now, but I want to do it Griffin and Joy style!!
Griffin and Joy are so warm, genuine and real and I just adore them both so much! The depth of each of their characters is very apparent from the beginning and you just have to get to know them. From the moment we meet them in the story and then they meet each other, you just know it is going to be everything and so much more! It's funny, emotional, steamy, sweet, sexy, witty and charming and just so unique and special just like Joy and Griffin. I just can't say enough about this book or these characters and the cleverness of the story line itself, it's positively amazing! This is a must read or listen if you want to hear Griffin read by Richard Armitage and his sexy British accent and Grace Grant was fantastic as Joy as well!!!I loved this book so much I did both!! It's definitely in my top 3 this year so far!!!

“Paris is where you go to reinvent yourself.”

I wish I could rate this book any higher, Lauren Blakely has outdone herself with this masterpiece! She has made me fall in love with Paris all over again. Wanderlust is definitely one of those books that you just have to read and read all over again because it’s just that good. From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, Blakely has managed to deliver a book full of love and adventure that will leave you wanting for more.

After going through a bad relationship, Joy Danvers - Lively is ready to move on with her life and when she is offered the job in Paris that she has been wanting it doesn’t take her long to accept. Now she is on her way to star a new life, and hopefully love Paris enough to stay there permanently. While she liked working for a cosmetic company in Texas, Joy has managed to snagged a job with her company’s French devision where she is going to work in a lab formulating new fragrances. Though this is an exciting opportunity for her, Joy is not fluent in French and that is making her transition a bit harder for her. But with the little she knows she is ready to start practicing the language without holding back and that is when she ends up meeting a very handsome stranger at a bakery while trying to help her translate what she wants. It’s the sparks between them that set off right from the start and although she is not sure if she’ll ever see him again, they flirt back and forth not wanting to say good-bye. It is until the next day that she finds out that the hands stranger is non other than Griffin Thomas, her translator for the next six months. Now that would have made Joy happy, but they’re working together now and wanting anything else with him will never work out.

Griffin Thomas loves Paris and knows it like the back of his hand. But what he loves the most are all the odd facts and curiosities of the city that you may not find in guidebooks. After living in the city for a year, he has done so much and he is ready to move on onto his next adventure. But when his last job didn’t turned out that way he had hoped, his boss gets him a new/last job before leaving the city for good. He never expected to meet Joy and as her translator he wanted to keep things professional, especially when he is not going to be in Paris for long, but her attitude towards life and energy are making it harder for him. He wants Joy, but there are still tasks that he must fulfill and he won’t get them done if he stays in Paris. When she asks him to teach her French, Griffin agrees and as the two start to spend even more time together they start to realize just how much they have in common and how much they want each other. Neither one was looking for a relationship, but the city that they love brought them together. Now it’ll be up to them to decide if they want to move forward or not.

There is so much about this story that I absolutely loved! The characters were so relatable and full of life. Their backstories alone intrigued me from the start, they both have struggled and it is because of their pasts that they’re now in a city where they can create a new life. Lauren Blakely has given us such vivid descriptions of Paris that made the story that much more magical. Every spot that she mentioned is already on my list of places to visit. What captivated me the most was the romance between the characters, their chemistry was sizzling and swoon worthy. Griffin is a Brit living in Paris (which makes him that much more dreamy!) and his relationship with Joy is fun and charming. He is a total flirt, but he knows what he wants and is not afraid to get it. Joy is lively and sees things differently. Her attitude towards live is contagious and fun. I love that she was able to spot hidden treasures around the city that Griffin might have missed. They both fit so well and they’ve proven that they can have it all. I highly recommend reading Wanderlust, you will not regret it! ;)

I have never been to Paris, but after reading Lauren Blakely’s Wanderlust I feel as though I have and that I need to make a return trip — YESTERDAY. This book engages all five of your senses, and it is as if you have stepped through the page/screen and are seated at a corner café sipping coffee, nibbling on a pain au chocolat absorbing the sights, sounds and scents of this most glorious city.

All of this simply builds on a fabulous slow burn Romance between two people who are resisting an attraction that is soul-deep. Joy Danvers-Lively and Griffin Thomas are a couple that does everything possible to observe propriety, but in this case, the road to rule-breaking is gloriously full of longing glances, touches and flirty conversations.

In Joy, I think I may have found my book soulmate. She is a lover of fragrances and chocolate, who sees Paris as a challenge not to conquer, but one to accept and the chance to live the full promise of her name. Her eyes are opened to all possibilities, even the fantasy of a hot British translator. It’s through Joy that our Paris experience becomes a sensory scavenger hunt for all the things you must do in Paris, but also seeing the other things that are hidden in plain sight.

I am a true believer that everything is better with a British accent, but add to that the fluent French and well, Griffin Thomas is on the Blakely Book Boyfriend scale nearing Clay Nichols level. Meaning he is the best kind of man and I fell so hard for the pure goodness of his heart.

Together Joy and Griffin have a chemistry that could power the Eiffel Tower for days and days and days. We are voyeurs as they explore the far corners of Paris, discovering more of its hidden beauty and history, pushing the envelope of “friendship” to its fabulous edge.

Wanderlust is a valentine to the City of Lights and those who see it for the magician she is, allowing its visitors to walk her streets and feel the pull to the small corners where the most unexpected beauty exists. This is a book that will stay with you not just for the Romance, but as a reminder to look up and around to make sure you don’t miss the smallest of things in this life.

Happy reading!!!

This book is utterly delightful. You can not help but fall in love with love and Joy and Griffin as they call out to the romantic in you.

The story is endearing and enchanting to the end. We have the Brit Griffin who is so laid back and sweet and Joy who is so adventurous and fun. She emits joy and wonder in everything she does. Her look at life after all she has gone through is so optimistic. the interactions between Griffin and Joy are so amazing and fun. They are light hearted and adventurous even whimsical at times. These two transport you back to a time when falling in love was a fun, sweet and sensual journey. Where two people found their way and just let things go where they were meant to be. They didn’t fight the feelings but embraced them.

You can’t help but fall in love with their story and how they end up together. Griffin and Joy are always flirty in their interactions with one another and it just has you smiling like a loon the whole time. That isn’t to say there isn’t sad moments in the book because there are. But the sad doesn’t overtake the book and it actually enhances the story and the characters. It shows their strength, resilience and how strongly and fiercely they can love. Griffin gets to see Paris come alive through JOy and the time they spend together is flirty, sweet and swoony. Their friends Christian and Elle are a hoot as well but also very loyal and kind.

We get both Griffin’s and JOy’s views and it is wonderful. You see what has shaped both of them and how they struggle at times with choices they need to make. YOu see how they have risen from pain and sorrow and find their way to where they are now. You also see how they think and feel and it gives a complete swoony picture.

Overall this book is enchanting and swoony. Griffin and Joy you fall in love with instantly. their chemistry is there from the beginning and their meet cute was flirty and fun. They take us on a journey of love and Paris that sweeps you away and has you swooning with every moment they are together. And the ending will just take your breath away.

I am completely in love with Wanderlust. It’s beautiful, romantic, sensual, and fun, with a whole lot of heart. Joy is, well, joyful. She’s immediately endearing and is so lively that she practically pops off the page. She’s the kind of heroine you want to be friends with and she just plain charmed the heck out of me with her attitude, big smile, intelligence, and her love of things like pink doors, hidden angels, and red umbrellas. It’s easy to see why Griffin fell for her and she for him. Griffin isn’t just a sexy hero (though that doesn’t hurt). He’s also playful, interesting, smart, and as likeable as Joy. Like Joy, Griffin is in Paris to start fresh; only he doesn’t plan to stay. He made a promise to his dying brother and fulfilling it means his time in Paris is almost up.

Griffin and Joy hit it off from the start and their interactions made me grin. Because they’re working together (she’s a chemist and he’s her interpreter), they try to resist the pull between them, which made the sexual tension all the more delicious. Their love story is absolutely wonderful because you see them become friends first and the fall from lust and friendship to something more is seamless. When they do give in to their mutual attraction, Wanderlust gets incredibly sexy. In bed and out, Griffin and Joy are a perfect match. Their love story is bright and exciting, but that doesn’t mean it or they lack depth. Both of them are fully developed, well-rounded characters. I feel like there’s no way to do them justice in this review because I cannot adequately express how happy these two made me. Their journey is one best experienced for yourself and I defy you not to fall in love with them.

Joy and Griffin are the heart of this book, but Paris itself is every bit as important to the story. Lauren Blakely does an incredible job of transporting readers to the City of Light – not to the famous sites we all know, but to the smaller shops, alleys, and hidden treasures. Griffin is British and Joy is from Texas, and the fact that neither of them are native Parisians added to the story. I was able to fall in love with Paris alongside Joy and the sheer romance of the setting had me sighing thanks to Ms. Blakely’s writing.

I listened to Wanderlust on audio and I *highly* recommend enjoying the book this way. Good narrators enhance already wonderful stories and I don’t think you can get much better than Grace Grant and Richard Armitage. Grace Grant perfectly captures Joy’s spirit, but it’s Richard Armitage (also known as John Thornton, Thorin Oakenshield, etc.) whose narration is to-die-for. He not only brings Griffin to life, but his voice is like melted chocolate and makes Wanderlust an aural delight.

I cannot recommend Wanderlust highly enough. It’s an utterly enchanting story with characters you care about and a romance that makes you laugh, swoon, and sigh. This is the first book of Ms. Blakely’s I’ve read/listened to and I cannot wait to glom up her backlist!

As luck would have it, my workplace closed today because there is a winter blizzard in NJ the second day of spring! I spent the entire morning reading Wanderlust and relishing every word Lauren Blakely wrote. I loved this book from the very first sentence. I have never been to Paris, but from the very vivid and detailed descriptions, I felt as if I was there. Lauren’s writing takes you places better than any movie ever could.

As in all of her books, the central characters have chemistry, depth and an emotional connection and Joy and Griffin were no exception. They share a playful, flirtatious first meeting then realize they will be working together as he has been hired as her personal translator. She is American and he is British (her personal kryptonite) and speaks several languages fluently including French (plus he’s sexy, smart, and sweet).

They bristle with sexual tension from their very first meeting but decide to keep it professional. What I love about them is how much they enjoy each other’s company and get along so well. They were both very flirty, witty, thoughtful, respectful, and caring…true friends to lovers. Lauren is a great storyteller and you can feel how they try desperately to resist each other for months, and then finally realize they can’t.

I liked that he wasn’t a cocky bad boy as is the case in many romance books today, and I am so grateful they weren’t just out of college, and he wasn’t a billionaire. So many romance books follow the same script and this book is so unique. I loved reading about her passions and her profession as a chemist (she’s sexy, funny, and smart.)

As their feelings escalate, they each have to decide if they are willing to risk exposing their most vulnerable selves, and their progression as a couple, and as individuals, is moving and genuine. When they finally give romance a chance they know that it may not be forever as they each have other commitments that may take them out of the country and you feel their pain and heartbreak.

Wanderlust is engaging, steamy, and emotional and ends with a very happily ever after. Looking forward to reading their friends’ story next! Another five stars Lauren Blakely!!!

Flirty, a bit sassy, swoonworthy, and rich in details.

This book made me feel like I was right there with the spunky American Joy and Britsh/Parisian Griffin. Joy has followed her dreams to Paris to do what she loves and be in the place she has always wanted to go. Griffin is a translator who is saving his pennies so he can fulfill his dreams of wandering around the globe. These two made for a flirty and fun pair, who was entering to read about and just really interesting.

There was just something about this book that really made it special. Joy finds the best treasures in her travels around her new home. Everything in her eyes is more fascinating and more real. And Griffin, by golly, he is something. He flirts without meaning it half the time, he is so open to the crazy American's every whim but enjoys experiecning things right along with her. As he works to complete his bucket-list he is discovering more about himself and the palce he has called home than he ever had before. Joy has these fresh eyes that bring new experiences to places he once over looked.

There was even a point where my heart hurt for these two because their paths were not merging but going seperate ways. It is not often books bring out a large array of feelings; from thoughful to blushing, from flirty to heartbreaking, all with s fun supporting cast that we will see again.

I really can't say enough about how much I really enjoyed this book. I feel like satisfing is the best I can come up with, like eating your favorite dessert and savoring every bite. It was a great way to get through a cold day and just really lose myself within the pages. Now though, there is a stroy to be todl about a certain naked somebody and the friend who is all about indulging.

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and voluntarily read and reviewed.

Lauren Blakely has outdone herself again with Wanderlust! After reading each of her books, I seem to be saying the same thing! But it is so true! I listened to the audiobook of Wanderlust and I think that added a whole other dimension to the book! Richard Armitage voices our British hero and his accent is just divine! Swoon-worthy doesn't do this man's narration justice! If you have the chance to listen to Wanderlust-grab the chance-spend the money! You will be thanking me later!

Wanderlust is a story that will make you want to travel! Set in the most romantic city of all, Paris, it's hard to not want to buy a ticket immediately upon finishing the story! Plus, with two strong and captivating characters, you can't help but fall under Lauren Blakely's spell!

Moving to Paris from the US, Joy is ready to start the next chapter in her life. She meets Griffin shortly after arriving and it's one of those oh so cheeky meets! Love!! So flirty and sensual, the chemistry between these two is unmistakable! Not knowing each other's names, imagine their surprise when they realize Joy's company has hired Griffin to be her translator!

Now having to work together, they try to tamp down the sizzle and be professional. Then Joy ups the ante by asking Griffin to give her private French lessons They embark on a journey of seeing everything Paris has to offer and their control starts to falter. Little by little they are falling for one another, and they are helpless to stop it. Only there is a time limit on this affair. Griffin has vowed to check off the bucket list his brother crafted as he was dying. Griffin has a need to see it to completion and is planning to leave Paris at the end of his contract with Joy.

I was totally under Griffin's spell from the get-go! Joy didn't stand a chance! I loved the whole, spark-friends-to so much more than lovers narrative! It was sweet, spell-binding, and very enticing! Both characters had changed as a result of discovering life's ups and downs. They realized that it was ok to have the ability to choose their path by themselves, but that they really wanted to have the other along for the ride! More than not wanting to be alone, but more along the lines of the other giving them the ability to see life in HD vs regular programming. Everything is much clearer and crisper.

Why should you choose the audiobook version?? The narration! Richard Armitage is dreamy and gosh it was hard to pay attention at times! I would get lost in his cadence and just sigh! lol! He did a phenomenal job voicing Joy too, and the back and forth with the different accents-British to American and then throw in speaking French too, it was truly marvelous!

Grace Grant voices Joy just as well! Her emotion was portrayed so well, I felt it. Discovering Paris from Joy's POV was enthralling! I so wanted them to be together and make it all work out!

Lauren is a fan of Paris and that was so evident in Wanderlust! I felt the wonder! The joy of discovering the unexpected was gripping! It has a dreamy quality that takes you to a sweet and aspiring place. There was humor and sadness, but hope too! Lauren is never one to leave you feeling blue and this read is no exception! Once finished, I was left with happiness and a feeling sheer joy! That's a powerful thing and this read has earned it's place on my "read before you die" Goodreads shelf!

Just in case Wanderlust needed a more romantic backdrop that what the amazing Lauren Blakely had already written, this remarkable, swoon-worthy romance is set in Paris. Complete with a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower that Griffin and Joy put to *very* good use!

I loved the idea of American Joy and Brit Griffin meeting one another in Paris, a city they are both drawn to for their own personal reasons. Their meet-cute was absolutely adorable, and the fact that they later realize that he is her French translator -- therefore meaning that no hanky panky should go on between them -- adds a bit of a forbidden aspect to the sizzling connection between them. Instead, Griffin and Joy decide to be friends, and we then see this couple really get to know one another. As part of his brother's dying wish to fulfil a bucket list, Griffin is planning to leave the city after his assignment with Joy ends, but not without teaching her how to speak French first, as it ticks off another item on the list.

It's not long before they both realize that the connection between them is too special to be "just friends" -- but aren't you just asking for heartbreak when you know a relationship has an expiration date?

I loved the turn the couple's relationship took once they realized that their time was running out. I loved how Griffin struggled with his feelings for Joy and his promise to his brother. And most of all, I loved the swoon-worthy moment he went back to get his girl upon realizing that true love cured his wanderlust. This book was an absolute delight, and one that I will keep on my re-read list. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Wanderlust by Lauren Blakley

Livre le plus spectaculaire à ce jour (Most spectacular book to date) from Lauren. Of all the books I have read from Lauren this one is at the top of the list. There was just something about this book that had me eager to turn each page. It was just a lighthearted read that had this reader laughing and crying within the span of a few pages.

Lauren created lovable characters that have very complex internal battles and sexy as sin love scenes that are at a very deep level. The characters are fun and the setting for this book is magical. It is very hard to explain the feeling you get when you are reading these pages.

We meet Joy as she is getting ready to take a new direction in her life. This is the chance of a lifetime and too good to pass up. New life, new job what can possibly go wrong?

Then there is Griffin. Tall, dark, and handsome man who has his life planned out and doesn’t have time for relationships. He has goals that are not negotiable, and nothing is going to stop him from completing them. Oh, and did I mention Griffin is British.

That’s right ladies’ panty melting accent guaranteed to make any women weak in the knees. We get to learn a bit of our characters history that helps us to understand how they have gotten to where they are now. There are several surprises, touching moments and sorrow that will rip your heart out. This book has it all.

This story is something special that will take you away and will leave you satisfied while wanting more. I could see this leading to more wonderful books because the supporting characters need to be heard from.

I highly recommend not only this spectacular book but all of Lauren Blakely’s books.

Wanderlust deserves all of the stars in the sky — or in my case, flowers in the planet. It is everything I look for in a romance book. It’s full of the best. tension, fun moments, adventures, slow-burn romance, British accents, life lessons, beautiful places, meaningful conversations and a lot more beautiful things. I literally couldn’t have asked for a more amazing book and — I never say this because we all have different tastes but — I honestly don’t see how anyone could not love Joy and Griffin’s story.

I had a severe case of wanderlust before reading this book. Now, however, I’m on the verge of going insane if I don’t go to Paris and find me an apartment building with a pink door and a drop dead gorgeous British translator as soon as possible (sucks to be broke! Ugh!). Lauren’s writing really takes you to the streets of Paris and makes see more than just the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre. It makes you feel like you belong to the city and it makes you fall even more in love with it. I feel like crying just imagining how beautiful it would be to experience a romance like Joy and Griffin’s in such a wonderful city like Paris.

If y’all still don’t feel like reading this book after reading my super short and very fangirl(y) review then read this carefully, you don’t want to miss out on this story. It is more than just steamy moments and banter, it makes you think and feel deeply and open your mind and see the world from a more beautiful point of view. I cannot tell you how much I love it and how much I wish I could erase my mind only to read it again and make it feel like the first time.

I originally listened to the audiobook of Wanderlust when it was released as an Audible Original more than a month ago--it was my first-ever Audible pre-order!--and fell in love with both Lauren Blakely's story and Richard Armitage's and Grace Grant's dual point-of-view narration. With the release of the ebook, I wanted to see if my experience would result in the same reaction, or if it would wane somewhat. The thing with Blakely's writing though, is that the love story she weaves and the main characters she gives her readers are the type that you become so invested in that when you encounter them again, it's like revisiting old friends and hearing a familiar story but still getting a kick out of all the details. That's just what happens with Archie and Judy, aka Griffin and Joy.

I've never made a secret of liking my romance--even my romantic comedies--with a dash of angst to it. This isn't your typical, laugh-out-loud rom-com, and while I love those as well, I love that there's an underlying sadness to at least one of the main characters. Weird, I know, but it makes the overall experience more enjoyable on my end. Griffin is in Paris for personal reasons while Joy is there for more professional ones, and yet, it becomes a place that has them converge while also a place where they will ultimately diverge. Joy needs Griffin because she doesn't want to be lost in translation; on the other hand, Griffin may not realize how much he needs Joy because he's lost. This book gave me all the feels all over again. I'm highly recommending you give Wanderlust a read. Five-plus stars. ♥

What more could an American girl embarking on a bold new life in Paris want than a swoony Brit to help her get acclimated and teach her the language of love?

Joy Danvers is more than ready for a change in her life, so ready that she's packed up, picked up, and winged her way to France. Joy has a love of all things French, but what she doesn't have is a complete handle on le francais.

Enter Griffin Thomas. A Brit abroad, Griffin is working on the bucket list that his brother couldn't complete, and paying the bills by acting as a translator. As luck would have it, Griffin ends up with Joy as his newest customer. The chemistry between these two is electric from the get-go, but mixing business and pleasure is a no no, or at least that's what they tell themselves.

Lauren Blakely has infused WANDERLUST with her usual blend of sweet and sexy, and, in keeping with the theme, a very palpable joie de vivre. Lauren's obvious love for Paris shines through in her descriptions, and in Joy's continually growing love for her adopted city. And the care that Griffin brings to fulfilling his list while being swept off his feet by a certain American girl makes him that much more yummy. 5 étoiles brillantes for WANDERLUST. If this book doesn't make you want to hop a plane and spend the spring in Paris, I'll eat my hat. Add it to your TBR, and enjoy.

P.S. It didn't hurt that I also listened to the audiobook of WANDERLUST. Hearing Richard Armitage and Grace Grant bring Griffin and Joy to life made this even more wonderful. Do yourself a favor and have a listen!

I absolutely loved everything about this romance! This fun, witty, sexy love story transformed me into the heart of Paris, and in turn, nestled Joy, Griffin and Paris into my heart as well! Joy is looking for a fresh start from her life in Texas, when she takes a new job in Paris. She is so excited to experience all that the city has to offer. When she meets a sexy Englishman at a bakery on her first day, their banter is fun and sexy. The sparks fly, but the timing isn't right. Unfortunately, Joy discovers this sexy Englishman is her translator for work. Griffin needs this job as a translator to continue his wanderlust and complete his list. But this smart, sexy, American in Paris will turn his world upside down and make him question his purpose.
As they navigate their working relationship, they can't stop their witty, flirty banter, while fighting their forbidden desires. Joy and Griffin are great characters and I was cheering for them all through their thrilling, moving, and romantic journey. I loved visiting all the wonderful Parisian areas. Blakely not only brought the famous locations of Paris to life, but she skillfully brought out all the subtle touches, smells, and tastes that will make you fall for the city of love & lights.

A story this seductive, romantic, and moving needs exceptional narrators and Blakey chose beautifully! Grace Grant was the perfect Joy. With every word and inflection, I could feel Joys' thrill and excitement as she began her new life. This is my first listen to Richard Armitage's work. I was totally lost to his smooth, rich, voice, and his perfect timing and delivery. Of course I totally swooned as I heard his sexy english accent, speaking french as well.

I loved every minute of this romantic, seductive love story, it is listening at it's finest!

Griffin is a translator in Paris who is going through his late brother’s bucket list. Joy is in Paris for her work and looking to let go of a past full of bitterness and complications. They both meet when he is hired by the company she works for as her translator. Their attraction is intense immediately and it will change the course of their lives. The story is bittersweet and poignant and yet so sensuous, like Paris. Lauren Blakely will make you walk through the City of Lights though their eyes and you will want to jump on a plane! Their love is intense and their faith is in their hands, but what will it bring? I loved this story full of love and hope. It is a must read to the world travelers in all of us, if we let him out to feel it.

(Preface: no review I write will be near good enough for this outstanding book)

I have read and loved every Lauren Blakely book since her first book. She has such a way of drawing the reader into the book and allowing the reader to visualize every scene. When she first announced Wanderlust, I could not wait for its release. Paris has a very special place in my heart after having spent time there. I knew I was in for a wonderful experience when I started this book. I have since read this book four times, and each time, I am back in Paris enjoying a pain au chocolat from my favorite boulangerie-pâtisserie.

Griffin is an English gentleman living in Paris fulfilling an item on a bucket list. Joy is an American from Texas who just moved to Paris for work. Their first meeting was by chance and that meeting stuck with them until their second encounter. What happens next is a journey of friendship and blossoming love that occurs in the most romantic city.

Lauren takes us on a fantastic ride down narrow cobblestone streets, across the Seine river, through the Champ de Mars, high above the city at Notre Dame on Ile de la Cite, and searching for angels in Paris's little nooks. We visit pâtisseries in search of decadent desserts, and we enjoy delicious coffee and champagne (of course, not at the same time). With each turn of the page, I was transported back to my favorite locations, and you will be too.

After every book Lauren has written, I always seem to say 'this one is my favorite'. I must admit, this is by far my favorite Lauren book. This book will hold a very special place in my heart not only for the city of Paris, but for Griffin and Joy. They are wonderful as individuals, but they are more amazing as a couple.

Merci Lauren! Ce lecteur est très content.

This is Wanderlust written by Lauren Blakely. I REALLY LOVE this book! We start out with the sweetest “meet cute” and you can’t help but smile. Joy is going to be living in Paris for three months and will be working closely with Griffin. Why? Why? Why did they have to be working together?!? They both decide for themselves that anything besides a professional relationship would be off limits at the moment. Have you ever met the most perfect person at the exact wrong moment? How far would you go to be with the person that could potentially be “the one”? Joy and Griffin try to keep it strictly business. Sometimes things don’t work out as you had planned. This is one of those times. Now there is a huge “end” rushing toward them and neither one knows how to stop it. I feel like I have toured the city of Paris as I was reading this story. Ms Blakely has brought it to life and given us a front row seat into the tragic story of Griffin and Joy. Be prepared to grab the tissues before this one is done. You will be so glad you took the time!!

Lauren Blakely doesn't disappoint with her novel Wanderlust!

Wanderlust is a heartwarming story told in DPOV by Joy and Griffin.

"I believe Paris is where you go to reinvent yourself."

Looking to start over after getting out of a bad relationship, Joy takes a job that brings her to Paris. A fresh new lease on life, a change she desperately needs at this point in her life. What she wasn't expecting was to fun into a hot and sexy man!

The banter and chemistry between Joy and Griffin is off the charts, until they realize that he has been assigned to be her translator at work. They come to an agreement that they can just be friends, yet they have a hard time being just friends, as the both want so much more then just friendship.

"This woman might be the toughest client I've ever had, since I'm going to spend every second resisting her."

This is a sweet romance novel about taking chances and living your life to the fullest!

“The moment for slow and sweet has passed, and now that we’ve touched, a dam is going to break. I’m going to devour her lips. She’s going to consume mine.”

WANDERLUST just might be my absolute FAVORITE Lauren Blakely romance to date! This book is the VERY DEFINITION of a fantastic romance read! Wonderful and charismatic characters, a sweet, worldly, and engaging storyline, and a romantic energy that flew off of every single page…WANDERLUST had it all! Joy and Griffin’s story will take you on a vivid journey of wonder and beauty. This is so much more than your typical love story…it’s an EXPERIENCE. You’ll be transported to la Ville Lumière where all of your senses will be heightened and your heart and soul will become filled to the brim. Trust me when I say, if you’re a fan of this genre, Ms. Blakely’s brand of storytelling is just what you need to feel complete.

Our heroine is Joy Danvers and she decided to leave her life behind in the states and take a job in Paris and start over. But, she's having a bit of a problem with the language, so enter our hot, sexy half-French/half-British hero Griffin Thomas, Joy's personal translator. Griffin has dreams and goals of his own and was hoping a promised bonus from an assignment he just completed would be his ticket to accomplishing it. But, alas, it didn't come through and he has to take on one more assignment, which turns out to be Joy.

I loved Joy and Griffin right from their meet cute, which had me craving pain au chocolat and I don't even like chocolate croissants. Joy was lively, sassy and perky, and Griffin was charming, laid-back, and oh-so-sexy. The two of them enjoyed a flirty friendship, trying to deny the attraction between them, but of course it can't be denied. Their slow burn was quite delicious, and when they finally took the plunge it was HOT. However, neither are looking for anything serious, because they know that eventually they'll have to go their separate ways. But, the more they open up and feelings get involved, the more complicated things become.

Besides Joy and Griffin, my favorite thing was definitely the Paris setting. Lauren Blakely did such a good job capturing Paris in the spring that her descriptions play in my mind like a movie. I've never been to Paris, but it was easy to be transported there through Joy and Griffin and there's a different flavor to Wanderlust that you can't find in Lauren's other books thanks to the setting. Someday I want to experience Paris like the way Joy did. But, since I can't afford it right now, it was fun living vicariously through Joy and Griffin. Also, I love that through their dual POV we get to see Paris through both of their eyes.

Wanderlust is a must-read for Lauren Blakely fans and all contemporary romance lovers, especially ones who love a good destination romance. Well, Wanderlust wasn't just good, it was FANTASTIC, written in Lauren Blakely's signature style that is lighthearted and fun yet it also pulls at your heartstrings at times, swoon-y and steamy, with a heroine want to be best friends with and a hero you truly fall for. Highly recommended!

I knew I wanted to read Wanderlust the minute saw the words British and Paris in the synopsis. I love getting lost in books where I get to visit other countries through the eyes of the characters.

I went to Paris once, very briefly. I felt like a stereotypical American tourist—clueless about the language and hoping there were kind French people who knew enough English to take pity on me. It was a little awkward. Joy, a Texan, moves to Paris, confident and eager to tackle the city even though she only speaks enough French to get her in trouble. I instantly admired her and her bubbly attitude. Griffin is a dashing flirt and a British Frenchman—an irresistible combination.

While Griffin helps Joy become immersed in the French language, Joy’s vivid descriptions of Parisian textures, smells, tastes, and sights completely seduced me. The couple’s attraction is instant and their verbal foreplay is highly entertaining.

The story is sweet and sexy from beginning to end, and I think that is where there is room for improvement. Things between Joy and Griffin are so smooth and easy—a little too easy. With a lack of sufficient real conflict, the story occasionally lost my attention. Altogether, though, it’s a charming adventure that should appeal to romance lovers and travelers alike.

Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely (Audible Edition)
4.5 stars!!!

Lauren Blakely whisked me away to gay Paris in this stunning audible edition of Wanderlust. It is pretty evident that this author has an affinity for the French capital and her love of the city was prevalent throughout this audible. Narrators make or break a book and being British myself I was so glad that our British hero was granted the sultry, dulcet tones of Richard Armitage, I have to say, he made this audible for me.

I was enraptured by this audible and actually listened to it all in one sitting. The allure of Paris and Perfume was too much, and the stunning, evocative writing almost created an interactive read as the descriptive writing had me more than imagining the perfume that was being created.

Joy and Griffin were fantastic characters, their banter, their chemistry, their physical attraction was on point as these two narrators brought these characters to life. Having them “speak” only gave these characters their sense of humour, added depth and the little nuances with voices and comedic moments brought these characters to life.

As I said above, this was a stunning story, not only limited to Paris and perfume. The language, the food, the sites, the customs, really brought their love story together and I was total captivated from the very start. By the end, I wanted to see Paris for myself, refresh my rusty high school French and check out the capital for myself. Absolutely adored it.

What an amazing book!!

First the Narration was amazing!! Grace and Grant wow.. love their accent and the way they switch from a parisian accent to an english one..

Joy is an American working in Paris trying to escape from her past and her heart. she is not looking for anything, specially not a sexy man with an English accent. She just wants to experience Paris and learn the language.. but she wasn't prepare to meet him.. him the sexy man, with the sexy accent.
a man that will change her life forever.

Griffin is in paris working as a translator. Trying to fulfill a bucket list and achieving some personal goals that lead him to meet her.. The American that will change his plans and a promise he made to someone he love..

Circunstances will keep them closer together, no matter how much they keep fighting their feelings..

What i love about the story is that not only the characters are mature, they know what they want.. and even if both swear that they weren't interested in finding something more than a friendship.. life kept messing around in a good way with their feelings.. because no matter if they both thought that they shouldn't let their feelings flow.. love will be stronger than their will..

a great story to laugh and fall in love with a beautiful city and a beautiful couple..

Wanderlust was an experience I adored. I didn’t feel like I was simply reading a romance novel, but that I was frolicking through Paris with Joy and Griffin. I could almost smell the fragrances, taste the delightful food, hear Parisians speaking French, and imagine I was seeing all of the sights they were experiencing. That’s how wonderful Lauren Blakely’s writing was in Wanderlust. She brought the Paris experience to me.

Not only did I adore the experience of reading Wanderlust, I also loved Joy and Griffin’s romance. Joy was a woman living life for herself after a tough couple of years. She was living her dream, and just happened to find the perfect person to do that with. Griffin’s motivations for living life in Paris were different from Joy’s but just as important to living his life to the fullest. Neither had any desire to find their perfect match, but fate brought them together. Their relationship (and their shared experience in Paris) was magical.

If you’re a fan of romances involving travel or ones set outside the U.S., you will want to read Wanderlust. It made me want to travel to Paris and experience everything Joy and Griffin did.

Set in Paris in the spring time, Wanderlust was a funny and sexy and hot read in a way that only Lauren Blakely can deliver. I had a great time reading this book!

Our heroine is Joy Danvers and she decided to leave her life behind in the states and take a job in Paris and start over. But, she's having a bit of a problem with the language, so enter our hot, sexy half-French/half-British hero Griffin Thomas, Joy's personal translator. Have you ever dreamt of going to Paris and seeing everything the City has to offer?? Well I have and let me tell you….Wanderlust is the way to get you there!!

While reading this swoony romance story, I felt I was right there with Joy exploring the city and the food as she did. Lauren wrote this book with such amazing detail you couldn’t help but feel like you were in Paris.

Wanderlust is Lauren’s latest standalone novel that is told in Dual POV. This is ultimately a swoony romantic love story but it also has a little bit of the forbidden thrown in. You can kind of say this is an office romance. This book had some funny times, sexy times, and times that you will swoon, but there is also some sad times in this story. But one this is for sure….you will end this book with a HUGE smile on your face.

In this story we follow the adventures of Joy and Griffin. Joy has just moved to Paris from Austin, TX. Just coming out of a relationship she needed a change of scenery . So when her company offered her a job in Paris, she jumped at the chance. Only in the city for a day and she meets a handsome stranger. Determined not to fall for him, they separate without giving any information about themselves. Colored her shocked when her hired French Translator turns out to be the handsome stranger. Will these two cross the line and take what they both want? Will they find their HEA?? What happens when plans are revealed?? Read this flirty and sexy romantic love story to find out.

As always I would recommend this book to everyone. If you know anything, know this, it is a Lauren Blakely book, so you know you’re in for a treat the minute you start reading this book.

So if you are looking for that perfect Sunday afternoon read that will sweep you to another place and make you fall in love but without a lot of drama, then you should read Wanderlust. You won’t be disappointed!!!!
