I was very surprised at how well written this book was. You never know what kind of book you will be getting when you order a cheap zombie book. i really enjoyed it and wondered how an apocolypse could happen...

I always wondered about the whole "zombie" craze. Not having previously read any of this stuff, it seemed time to give it a try. The author doesn't do a bad job but let's face it, the theme has it's limitations. I've learned I'm not a zombie person. It even stops being funny after a while. Zombies are dead to me.

Poorly edited and executed story and then when I saw there are more books ... Characters are irritating beyond reason. One example being Kim's a police officer acting like a 13 year old who won't stfu! I just couldn't take it anymore after going through a quarter of this travesty. Why, just why?
Prince of Fools (The Red Queen's War) :: Gaia's Secret (A Pandoran Novel, #1) :: The Liar's Key (The Red Queen's War) :: The Wheel of Osheim (The Red Queen's War) :: The Red Queen (The Cousin's War)

I would really like to give this book a good review, but I'm almost at the end of the book and the typos and grammatical errors just keep getting worse as I read further into the book. The plot is good and the characters are fun to read, but I can't believe that anyone would allow a book to be published even as a Kindle book without re-reading the thing themselves, or at least having a friend read and edit it for content.
Try this:
""I don't if I shot anyone,"
and a sentence later:
"I guess the men in black where sitting back, waiting for us"
a paragraph later:
'Because they're they only ones that say 'fearless' on them"
Very annoying! There are so many better Z books out there, that this book should be a VERY LAST resort for anyone wanting to get into the genre.

This book reminded me of the movie "World War Z" for reasons I won't explain due to possible spoilers if you haven't seen the movie yet. I do like it for the same reason as the movie...it has a different slant on what drives the "infected". I've bought the second book of this series and want to jump into it to see where the author takes us next. Well done Mr. Harden!

I liked this book because it starts out similar to but very different from other books of its type. The main character is a teenage girl and while she is not overly heroic or locales but she is strong. The action is intense and keeps you engaged for entire read. Be prepared to loose sleep.

I could not take my eyes off the screen so interesting what I loved most about it was that in the end I thought it was going
To be a crappy ending but now it makes me want to cry that I don't have money to buy the next book and as soon as I get enough money I'm buying the next book

There were some minor editing mistakes but nothing serious enough to take away from the story. Enjoyable plot and characters easy to empathize with. Quick read. Cant beat the price. Looking forward to his next book.

GET THIS BOOK!!!! It was so exciting to me. I loved it. It was an adventure. I have always loved books like these! I liked it when Jack went back for his girlfriend even though he was going back into a huge mess, full of soldiers that want to kill them and zombies, his love for Maria was so strong. And I liked how brave Kenji was no matter what, he had guts.

This story got off to a fast start and kept that pace. The characters maximized their skills and had a lot of luck as they tried to escape both the infected and the military.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

This is an exceptionally bland zombie novel. The basic story is not well thought out, and the author did little to flesh out what was there. Also, he has an extremely poor grasp of English. Not just basic grammar and editing, but word usage as well. There are sections that are almost unreadable because of this. Skip it, there are plenty of better reads out there.

Like several other reviewers, I also noticed a lack of editing. However, the premise was good and the characters were well developed and interesting. The author definitely needs to spend more time editing, but I liked the book.
