After purchasing this book and reading it, I found out that Osho was not an upstanding individual. Although some of what he says in this book is interesting, he comes across as as the manipulative, crazy, violent, ego-maniac that he was. Look at everything he says with a very critical eye. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Osho's philosophy is challenging and stimulating. for him every breath we take is not guaranteed to be repeated, as a result he encourages people to live out to their potentials and lead an unconventional life. life full of risks and enthusiasm, because that what makes us alive, for him trying to make security out of this life makes no sense. Osho suggested that the mind is the root of many problems and the cause of many negative emotions, therefor he suggested to use it only at work but not in love or relationship, where he encourages to follow the heart instead of the limited mind. The book contains many spiritual statements and prediction of what happens at the moment of death and afterwards, he emphasises the value of meditation. I totally recommend this book for the interesting story and the challenging statements inside it.

An absolute gift to humanity! Just as much of osho:s work.. But this kind of really hits the spot! One of the problems in humanity is actually that we lack Courage cuse of fear.. As an result we living unconsiously in our own made prison based of fear for the unknown, so we choose the known so we can get the feeling that now we are safe.. But this is tremendously limiting for ourselves and our lifes and are the basic reason for our unhappiness and boredom we all today largely experience.. As an result it does not only making us unhappy but absolutly retarded as well.. When i say retarded i mean blindness becuse of the poorness of life experiences.. As an result our understanding and awarness becomes very limited.. And Lifes richness is in experiences and what kind of experiences do you really get when you fearfully trying to Control each and every event so you can be sure to not "get hurt" or "not to go wrong" what life is that? That is in fact not life at all, that is the true definition of Death.. Not living.. There is simply just no real life in that.. It is just stale.. Static.. Life is allways dynamic.. Osho describes in a beatiful and entertaining way how we can start to be alive and live our lifes to the fullest! Fear is the greatest obstacle for you to be ALIVE but Courage is your antidote.

The book exhorts you to break away from the crowd and live spontaneously and lively. The theme is pretty similar to Emerson's self-reliance essay and the explanation is lucid and unhurried with a lot of witty anecdotes. OSHO certainly has lived his life without giving much emphasis on the accepted norms and because of that this message has a certain genuineness to it. There aren't any deep thoughts here (actually, thoughts aren't much valued); it's a simple reminder to genuinely live your life and live truly in the moment. Reminds me of a clip I saw of him a while back where the interviewer asks the reason for his silent meditative state of the previous few years. The response was along these lines - There is no specific reason for this state. Earlier I enjoyed giving talks and discourses; today I love being silent; tomorrow I might revert back to the earlier state.

'Books can changes lives'. Until I read this book, I didn't really believe much in this saying. The moment I finished this book, I was a totally different person. This book introduced me for the first time to my real self; as to what I really am, and what I really should be. Since then, 'Courage' has become my dictionary of life.

'Courage' could be a refuge of any depressed, frustrated, and lost individual and it has the ability to bring the individual out from the abyss of any downfall in life. Even if you are not frustrated or depressed, and/or are an individual without problems or difficulties, 'Courage' shall elevate you to heights that you never had imagined. 'Courage' shall give you an incredible insight into the workings of your own mind and shall provide you with tremendous courage to live a life of freedom and fearlessness.

Osho gets into your mind through this book and literally brings you out from the hypocrisy that surrounds you all the time. For the first time you shall realize that you are constantly living in a world of manipulations, double-standards, and falsity. I would sincerely recommend this 'masterpiece' to any person who has been seeking the 'Truth'.

Courage, is an amazing piece of writing. Though I wont go into details, concerning the content of the book. (I'll let you discover that for yourself) What I will say, is that Im an avid reader, and somewhat critical toward all things concerning how my time is spent. "Courage..." is a title that I read many years ago, since than, Ive read hundreds of other books. Yet unlike most that're soon forgotten. "Courage.." stands out as a book that I'd love to re-read again, as well as always have in my collection.

This title shouold be required reading for teens, adults, and future revolutionary minded people alike. It shows one how to live without self doubt, while still teaching the importance of being humble and a good natured human being.

This book is amazing. It takes my breath away every time. When I feel stuck in my life, or simply want some inspiration I find myself returning to this book. "Never miss the unknown." Be a gambler, the heart is a gambler.

After reading this book I have been reading about OSHO on the internet, to find out who this guy was. He was a madman and a genius. I think he was completely liberated from all the shackles of human existence. Because of that he did and said things that at times seemed completely crazy, some even said he was evil. But I think he was simply free.

Thank you OSHO.

After reading this book, it totally changed my whole perception on life and myself. It truly let me see the type of person I am and should become. I used to think that the people who are daredevils or risk takers were just born that way. Being courageous is something that takes practice. It is okay to feel uncomfortable. In fact, as Osho mentions, the only way to be free is through your fear. Life is scary and that's beautiful. If we had ever little detail about our life written and planned out like some movie script how boring would that be! We would be slaves to our own lives.

Osho's ability to write this way leaves me excited and ready to chase life in total awareness--awareness of my surroundings and most importantly aware of my thoughts of fear. How instead of running from them, I should pursue them. If I fail, that's okay because at least I gave it a shot. The only downside (which he mentions in the beginning) is that I still have many questions that are left unanswered. If you're looking for a religion or way to live your life this isn't the book for you. However, if you're looking to gain a new and exciting perspective, this is definitely the book for you.

I would break this book up into thirds. The first third is very inspiring, making you want to read the rest of the book while telling you that you can change...yet be happy with who you are. I'm still grappling that particular concept. Anyways, the second third sort of drones on, reiterating the ideas mentioned in the previous third. The last part of the book is where it gets really exciting. Osho gives a couple of exercises to help you possibly explore meditation. The part of this book that really hit me the most though was the very end. I think the title of this book should be "Why God Doesn't Exist." He'll mention how God works and will suggest different religious beliefs, but at the very end of the book he simply leaves you after telling you that God doesn't exist because we created the idea of God out of fear. I'm going to have to read this book a second time looking for some sort of fallacy...seeing as how I'm almost an atheist now.

I love this book. So inspiring, so needed. Exactly that, the joy of living dangerously but with ethic and mindfulness. Certainly not dangerously how we would normally envisage the activity, but with a presence of mind that is exhilirating. We lead such cautious lives, but as he says in the book, we have to learn to say no before we can say yes with awareness.

This is an amazing, life-changing book that somehow came into my life at exactly the time I needed it. Its simple prose breaks down big, powerful concepts into easy-to-comprehend components. Every page is a wonder. I recommend this book to everyone!

If you read this book and follow the technique of the buddhists; to study what you are and think, and if you do for several days what you have read, You will find fear explained by your own atmic self instead of $1000 prayer sent to people like the TV bible missionaries knowing your fears will take courage. The courage to start. The courage to continue the courage to finish. This book will help remove the fears and limitations we have all imposed on ourselves. In order for krshnas grace to come Bhagavad-gita 10(10-11)you will need to make the effort yourself in setting up conditions for his grace to come. This book will do it.

Once again Osho transforms lives with his amazing insights. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to become stronger in taking their own decisions and realizing the truth and all answers are within you.

I felt a sense of relief after reading this book. It's very positive and uplifting and very funny at times. It allows you to see your limitless potential instead of instilling a guilt-ridden, "I am a sinner" mentality.
