The book shipped so fast and in great condition! It even came with the text disk which I didn't expect so it was a nice bonus. The pages are not torn or written on, I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Overall, the text served its purpose but had I needed it for ALL of the sections in the book, I would have been in trouble! There were a total of 9 pages that were double printed (text overlapping making it impossible to read). Other than that issue, the book was fine. But this has seriously discouraged me from ordering paperback textbooks.

The book came quickly, but did not include the DVD, which is a supplement to the book. I have also discovered the book binding was poorly made and the book is literally falling apart. Considering I haven't really even used it yet, this is disappointing. I bought it new hoping to ensure I was getting a quality book. Overall very disappointing.

I like this vendor. They truthfully guaranteed me when the book would arrive and I received constant e-mails regarding the tracking of the book from the warehouse to my house. There was some highlighting but it did not disturb the book.

This is an excellent textbook appropriate for a first year graduate class. It also would be appropriate for counselors and psychotherapists who want to review some of the theories including "post modern" theories of counseling and psychotherapy. The text includes surveys of case studies that are presented more thoroughly on the accompanying CD ROM. The case studies do an excellent job of reinforcing the theories that are presented.

I really liked this book. I used it to supplement a similar book that I have been using to study the topics Dr. Corey presents.

I have had little choice but to utilize this book during my graduate studies in psychology, and just emailed the university staff.
From all my books during undergraduate and graduate studies, this book is by far the worst I have had to use to-date. It is very unclear, vague, badly organized, and oftentimes does not offer complete listings or definitions in neither text or index. I am very disappointed, and therefore recommend that its usage be avoided wherever possible. You are guaranteed to incur high levels of frustration!

Good textbook it is well written and discusses the main Psychologists. Well worth the purchase. It also touched upon some of the information I learned in Psych 101 which was a nice refresher because it has been awhile since I took Psych 101.

I also ordered this book for a graduate class but when I received the book I noticed it didn't come with the DVD "The Case of Stan" which is an integral part of the book and the course. Purchasing this book "new" I expected the DVD to be included but it was not. I am very disappointed with this order.

Corey writes great textbooks because he covers a lot of material, talks in a language you can understand, and tells you the similarities and differences between the different schools of thought/psychology. I highly recommend any of his books! I even purchased his group counseling textbook because the one my professor required us to buy was too hard to understand!

I thought that the book would provide more detailed information
regarding the major concepts of the various theories. I was also disappointed
that it did not offer specific information about the most popular interventions.
It was more of an introduction to various theories. It did not
offer what I needed which was a thorough review of each theory. However, it is
a good introductory book at the Undergraduate level.
