Excellent book recommended by David Baldacci.
I would like to have had The Nowhwere Man have a few less crisis situations -- that was too overdone. However I will still look forward to Mr. Hurwitzs' next book.

Great writing style especially suited to this type of novel. It is hard to go along with all the damage his body suffers though - and still he fights the baddies. But put that aside it' still an exciting read.

Gregg has created a character that is immediately likable. Nowhere Man is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and if you have not read the first one in this series Orphan X I would suggest starting there.
Pronto: A Novel (Raylan Givens Book 1) :: Mila 2.0: Renegade :: Sickened: The True Story of a Lost Childhood :: The Gift of Being Hidden in a World That Loves to Be Noticed :: The Ice Princess (Patrik Hedstrom and Erica Falck - Book 1)

Fast paced story. Best thing about the plot is that I had no idea how the main character would get out of the problem he was in. Also, the antagonists were interesting. From the main villain to some of the guards- they had personality and helped flesh out the story. However, they have to be interesting because they are trapped with Evan. Who is Evan. He is someone who was raised in the toughest conditions and trained to hunt and fight people and survive harsh conditions and environments. His interactions with females was to train with hookers. He has been living in high-intense, PTSD invoking, adrenaline fever. However, despite all this he is a nice guy beta male whose greatest ambition would be to drop everything to become a supplicant provider to a single-mother AG. Yeah right. I understand that this is done to show contrast between the super agent as he tries to interact with normal people for context, but it feels more like wish-fulfillment on the authors part to imagine himself as a spy than something true to this character. In other words, his actions make it feel like he spent a summer in spy camp and fights against the narrative of being raised to be hard, mean killing machine.

Great read! Evan Smoak is a highly trained assassin taking on the helpless one case at a time. If you feel hopeless and like there is no one on your side, he's your man and your help in your darkest hour. Entertaining new series. Looking forward to more of Evan Smoak!
