Somewhat disappointed in the book as it is mostly fast foods, frozen foods instead of fresh or home prepared meals. However I can find most of what I need, just takes a lot of time weeding through all the fast food info. Probably a good book for some.

I have diabetes and used this book forever - it really is a necessity to learn carb counting for an insulin pump - HOWEVER - I have to tell you that it saved the day at weight loss class - counting carbs is a great way to diet - I really need to get this for my ipad!

So easy to use, everything is in alphabetical order, instead of categories. Also very comprehensive, gives everything you need to know about an item: calories, protein (grams), carb (grams), fat (grams), cholesterol (mgs), sodium (mgs), and fiber (grams).

This book is useful, although a huge number of the listings are commercially prepared foods (which should have the information on the packaging). I cook most of my own food and have to dig to find carb counts for raw or cooked fresh vegetables.

I've had a number of different nutrition counter books. This one is THE BEST. We have three houses, and I now have one of these books at each place. If you are serious about dieting or just staying healthy, this is the book to read. It is comprehensive, easy to use and has every detail you could want.

We rely on this reference for our healthy eating habits, or at least when we decide to indulge in a rich dessert we know how to maintain a moderate diet for the rest of our day. This is the second book we've purchased; we pretty much wore out the first one !

I was a little disappointed when I first received this book as it's pretty much like another book I have, but after using it for a bit, I love the way the items are listed like in your grocery isles and actually has an index for a quick lookup for a particular food.

This book has everything you ever wanted to know about food counts,, even all the fast foods we love to eat but feel deprived of if we are changing out eating life style. It is also just the right size to carry with you, whether a pocketbook or a backpack. Excellent buy!

The information is comprehensive but often difficult to find and there are a number of commonly eaten foods I have as yet not been able to find at all. Very good for calculating meals from food chains, a bit time consuming to look up each individual ingredient for home prepared meals. The way the items are listed leaves a lot to be desired.

A great book for all the weight watchers in society. An informative, comprehensive, "food dictonary" with the needed data to make healthier choices and to know what you are consuming in the way of sodium, fiber, fat, protein, & carbs. Best utilized before eating, it helps with making a food selection that will work for you.

This book has all the calories listed in alphabetical order, much better than categories. It's easy to find what you want and not frustrating.
Got here in good shape and faster than a speeding bullet. Thanks

Being concerned about my sodium intake I purchased this book. It makes it so easy to be able to plan meals and to know what is in every product that you eat. If you are watching and counting anything from proteins, fats, carbs, cholesterol or sodium I would recommend you get this book.

Anything you might eat is in here, but sometimes it is hard to find. If you are willing to take the time to search through all of the listings for a food you will find it. Just be prepared for it to take some time.
