Bizarre, creepy, horror, paranormal strangeness goes on in Ian's life. He has chronicled a version of his life in his best selling graphic novel series about Fatboy, who is Ian's past and alter-ego and Priss who has been Ian's best friend since childhood, until now, when he has a real girlfriend and Priss is jealous. Who or what is Priss? Ian is not really sure, and that is the mystery. I received this book free to review from Netgalley.

This book started out so good. Spoiler alert"....you have been warned!
Even in the beginning the author has you wondering if priss is a figment of Ian imagination, but then there is also hints that she is a real person. This has you captivated and reading late I into the night. Then it gets a little boring in the middle but picks back up shortly. The ending is a little fast paced and unlike the rest of the book.
Things I didn't like was the going back to his high school years so suddenly.
Throwing in pages for his comic ideas was a little confusing too.

Ian felt he only had one true friend growing up. Priss defended him from all the meanies and bullies in his life. But now he is 30, a successful writer and has met the love of his life but is Priss going to let anyone else take her place. This is another top notch suspense novel from Lisa Unger. I borrowed this as a library book but I know sooner or later I'll the audible version because I liked the story that much.

This is the creepy story of a young graphic novelist who seems to be modeling his books on his real life experiences. In both worlds there is a girl/lady named Priss who casts a powerful spell over him and Fatboy (his main character) who gets them out of jams but also does evil things to people in their lives. The crux of the novel is whether Priss is real or just a figment of his imagination. Intriguing.

I read this because it was recommended by Karin Slaughter and I enjoy her books. I liked this one, too, although I found the ending hard to reconcile with. Crazy is definitely an apt part of the title.

I received this from the Goodreads First Reads giveaway. It is an intense and powerful love story. Different from my normal reads, but I found myself totally engrossed in the story. Ian was such a complex character. You had to keep reading just to find out more about him. I loved Megan and my heart went out to her. A very beautifully written story.

The twist in this one was pretty obvious. A cast of unlikeable characters with a story line that leaves you asking what is real, imagined or made up. Reads like a YA novel with an unresolved ending.

After I finished reading the book 'In the Blood' by the same author, I got excited when I got my hands on Crazy Love You. Boy, I was disappointed. Nothing made sense in the book. Both the story and characters were not believable, and I had a tought time grappling with the fact that this book was written by the same author who wrote In the Blood.

Lisa Unger is one of my favorite Authors. I usually can't wait for her next body of work, but was disappointed in this one. I actually developed a low grade headache reading the repetitious long winded descriptions of the "Whispering Hollows." I had to skip through all that and get to the ending. Guess I'm not a fan of the super natural.

This a a very good psychological book. It kept me turning pages and I really loved the ending chapter. It even had the name of one of our cats in it--Spunky Doodle (the tuxedo cat) even though it didn't have much of a role. How cool is that!

My mistake maybe, but I was expecting a good suspense book, not a supernatural story. Even two-thirds of the way through, I considered ditching but eventually stayed the course. Not one of Unger's strongest.

I really enjoyed this book - the paranormal aspects of the plot were excellent & really gave it an added charge. I thought it was quite different than Unger's other titles. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Please, Ms. Unger - publish more titles like this one!

I appreciate the knowledge of addiction. Very complicated, intertwined plot. Characters were different and interesting. I liked the book more than I thought I would, especially after reading In The Blood.

This book was not believable at all, and without spoiling it for those who may wish to read it, there was a lot of plot left unresolved as to what really happened and what did not. I did stick it with it until the end in case there was a big surprise ending, but it was fairly bland. Not Unger's best work.

Ian Paine was an obese kids with all kinds of problems who loved comics. As an adult he writes and illustrates graphic-novels and has lost all the weight. He is actually rather successful, but he still has this anger inside him that he can't seem to shake no matter how many drugs he does. His problems began when his mom committed a heinous act when he was very young, which landed her in a mental hospital. He meets Priss in the woods behind his house as a child who he thinks of as his protector. Priss is not what she appears to be though. She is this mystery person throughout the entire book. Ian is also a mystery. Is Priss real? Is Ian crazy, is he hallucinating? Which of the two are dangerous or disturbed?
