I'm reserving judgement on this first installment of the author's new series. The story was good. Characters nicely fleshed out. World building not really necessary if you've read any of the Nate Temple or Callie Penrose books. Problem is I just didn't fall in love with this book. Totally unlike the two previously mentioned series where I was hooked completely by the first books. I will read the second book coming out later this month and see how I feel then.

Quinn is a foul mouth, kick butt, witty, lovable character. Cameron has brought a new and slightly different view to the already fantastic Templverse but he tells a story of a black market arms dealer with a heart of well gold maybe......we are not sure what she is....YET! But she has a moral compass and code... don't hurt me and mine and ill let you live. Quinn is funny and quick with her sharp Irish tongue. Surly and grumpy most of the time.... But she still find a way to win you over in the end. Cameron pulls in some great characters all of his own the Monkey King, Brian and Jimmy...all make this a book and series you will not want to miss. One of my new favourites!

Another new heroine for the Templeverse, and this time with a new author to bring a new writing style to the table. This is book one in the Phantom Queen series and stars a red-head with some anger management issues, whom we get to watch bat in the big leagues, but without a big league power. Don't worry though, she has quite a few tricks up her sleeves to keep things interesting. A little surprise and creativity can go a long way, folks. The story is fun and engaging, the characters are endearing, and the dialogue feels real. For this debut book in the series, you couldn't ask for more.

Pick it up if you are a fan of Urban Fantasy and get to meet Quinn MacKenna, you won't want to put it down.

That's when Shayne Silvers finds Cameron... And the Templeverse grows. If you're already a fan of the series, this set will give you a peek at The world from another perspective. If you've never read any of the Temple or Callie books, this will be a genuine treat and give you a different way to view the remarkable universe that's been created.
It's difficult to review this series without giving away too much. Suffice to say that you'll be hooked from the beginning and won't want to let go even when you get to the end. Thankfully the series is being released almost all at once. Now excuse me, I have to see what happens next...

Meet Quinn, a sassy, redheaded Irish black magic arms dealer who desperately wants to visit the world of Fae. Trading favors to gain access, Quinn's "procurement" of a Grimm Tech item jeopardizes all those she holds dear. Unable to return the item, Quinn (with the help of both new and familiar faces) must deal with a murderous wizard and gods. Saving her loved ones, keeping the police in dark, staying off the Chancery's radar and trying to stay on Temple's good side. Easy...right?

Shayne and Cameron deliver an outstanding addition to the popular Templeverse. Whiskey Ginger provides us with new, fantastic characters along with some well known favorites. You'll find yourself laughing out loud as well as having your heart drop deep into your stomach. So sit down, grab a glass, and get comfy...it's gonna be a long night, but you'll thank Shayne/Cameron in the morning.

This book series is looking like another best seller for Shayne Silvers’ Templeverse (Nate Temple is the origin Series). A wisecracking something who deals in magical weapons and whatnot to the highest bidder with looks and The ability to nullify magic. This one crosses over with characters from the Temple books but is written well enough to be a stand alone. lol forward to seeing where this series takes me.
Oh and you must read all of Quinn’s lines with a Boston Irish accent since it is literally written like it sounds. A nice touch and humorous to boot.

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for my honest opinion. Honestly, Quinn is great. She is a fresh face for the Temple Crew and she can give any of them a run for their money. Such a new interesting group of characters. She's got a different edge than either of the characters that we are used to and get to see some different signs to the characters we do know. Also a new class of legends. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Like your heroine more grey than black/white? Quinn is your gal! I checked this book out on Kindle Unlimited. Linked to Shayne Silvers Temple-verse series this book can easily stand on it's own. Our foul mouthed ginger heroine has her adventures in Boston where she interacts with a skinwalker, vampires, various fae and even a god (small g). A lot can happen over the course of just a few days! Settle in for a glorious storytelling, you won't be sorry you did.

Shayne Silvers and his cohort Cameron O'Connell have created an amazing spinoff to go along with Callie Penrose in the Nat Temple "Templeverse". Quinn McKenna doesn't play by anyone's rules but her own. But when she steals from Nate Temple things spin completely out of control. I couldn't put this book down and already expect the rest of the series to be just as amazing.

Great new series in the Templeverse with a bad ass female lead. With her Irish brogue and bad temper, she’s not jusr any black market arms dealer. After daring to steal something from Master Temple himself (albeit from a courier and not the man) things seem to spiral out of control quickly! Has madmen, mystery, and mayhem you wont want to miss!

I love the first two series Shayne Silvers has created. I immersed myself in their worlds quickly and could hardly put the books down to carry on with daily life. The characters have substance, snark, and are engaging. However, I'm not feeling the same about the newest series based on Quinn. I don't really like Quinn. I just don't find her very likeable. I just started the second book, so we'll see if she grows on me. Sometimes it takes the next one in a series for me.

Once again we dive into Nate Temples universe....and its a blast!! Shayne joins Cameron in bringing us a great story.

Quinn is a black magic arts dealer with a wicked sense of humor. The story is fast paced and pretty funny.
We catch small cameos of Nate, Callie and Othello!! Looking forward to more from Quinn and her crew!

Good opening book, loved the integration of some of major players from Team Temple such as Othello and Hemingway . If your follow team Temple youll want to meet the newest member even if she doesn't quite know it yet. If you havent yet read Naye Temples many "adventures" perhaps this series will encourage you to do so

If you enjoy reading Nate Temple or Callie Penrose's books you will Quinn MacKenna's to. Quinn deals with hard to find and/or obtain, often unique merchendise. One of her jobs takes her on a path that crosses with Nate Temple and things get a bit out of control from there. Quinn kicks butt and shows you how its done in Boston. It will be a good series all on its own but even better when you read it with Nate and Callie.

A new "star" in the templeverse. Whiskey Ginger's main character is a snarky Irish-American girl who hasn't met really Nate Temple (he nicked a taxi from her) and lives in Boston. She is an arms dealer for the paranormal crew.
If you like your main characters to be bossy, sassy and funny you will enjoy this new series.

Just when I think I’ve read everything, here is something fresh and really interesting. Quinn is not a hero and doesn’t aspire to be. She just wants her quiet life as a black market arms dealer, but the supernatural community doesn’t really care about collateral damage and forces her into a different role

If you like the Shayne Silvers Temple verse you will like The Phantom Queen Diaries. Quinn is really different from Nate and Callie, but yeah you know when they do meet up (like for reals, not just in passing) it's gonna be EPIC! I definitely liked the characters and the feel of the book.

I love the badassery toughness of the main character. The plot is complex, gritty, quick, lots of action, diverse characters/creatures and without fillers of what she's thinking every minute, but enough to give you an idea of her personality. I'm so glad they were released so closely!

Quinn Mckinna is a magic weapons arms dealer in Boston who is trying to find out who her father was. With newly discovered powers and Fae creatures coming through to Boston, Quinn has to learn fast. Fortunately, she has help from different members of Team Temple!

A brilliant addition to the Templeverse! Quinn McKenna is a beautiful, feisty black - market arms dealer (magical or not) if you pay for it, she can get it. There is a turf war coming to Boston...Freaks, Fae, Wizards, and Gods....watch out!!!! Can't wait for the next book!!!

Great entry into an already excellent world. Shayne Silvers is masterful with his characters, the story and the universe tha he created. Cameron O’Connell only adds to this universe. A different character, but fits right in. Love the stories. Keep them coming.

I am quickly becoming addicted to the newest addition to the Temple verse crew. Like all of the characters in the series, Quinn is a smart-mouthed, fearless, and fierce character. If you have not read the other books in the series, you should do so to understand the history of the characters and how the weirdness of the situations are related.

I've fallen in love with the incredible books that Mr Silvers puts out (at a muderously inhuman pace), and now he has brought someone else into his world to play as well. There's too much to say, and too much would be lost in the telling, so a simple "read this book" will suffice.

Seriously. Read. This. Book.

I enjoyed the witty banter between characters and the attitude from the heroine. It was interesting and you can seethe foreshadowing for other tasty reads in there. I’m a little in love with collaboration between authors and story lines. I read it fairly quickly and would love classic full length novels from this writer.

Having both Shayne and Cameron tag team another series set in the Temple Universe was a dream come true. I didn't put it down once, it was that captivating. Well written, uncanny knack for details and I think Quinn just became my number one on my list.

Loved this new addition to the Templeverse. Just when you think you know what's going on the thrill ride throws you a curve! Cameron's writing is excellent and meshes quite well with the other stories.

As always, Shayne Silvers continues to deliver. Whiskey Ginger adds an Irish Spice and bad-ass attitude to a twisted tale of fantasy. Touched with snipets of the Nate Temple series, I eagerly await the next chapter of Quinn’s adventures.

Fast paced fun from start to finish. Excellent character introduction and development. When it comes to urban fantasy Silvers has become one of the best, and I am really looking forward to the next books!

Being a fan of Shayne Silvers and the Nate Temple/Callie Penrose series, I was both excited and yet a little apprehensive to read Whiskey Ginger. Would I like another author’s (O’Connell) take on the universe Silvers has carefully developed? Would the ride be the same? And simply put, would a THIRD major character in this universe be too much? I can honestly say that Cameron O’Connell and Silvers hit a home run with Whiskey Ginger.

Set in Boston, the reader gets yet another perspective of the supernatural world Silvers has developed from a fresh point of view - a no-nonsense black magic arms dealer named Quinn. The fast paced story opens with a bang and doesn’t let up until the end, weaving a tale of excitement, mystery and intrigue.

What is exceptional about Whiskey is not only that it is written from a completely fresh point of view, but it meshes very nicely with the characters and events Silvers fans have experienced so far. Strong enough to stand on its own, Whiskey is by no means dependent upon its predecessors, but in truth lends depth and possibility the other two series might not be able to develop on their own. Quinn will become a fast favorite of both existing Shayne Silvers fans and newcomers alike. And you’ll quickly be wanting a chaser to this Whiskey to see what happens next.

Indeed, this Whiskey goes down smooth.

How are we so lucky to have such amazingness coming at us so fast. The book is great. If is different from Nate and Callie, and I think Quinn is paving a path to being a fantastic game changer! I'm having trouble keeping quiet in the den, time to get back there and see what's new!
