I had never read Sherlock Holmes before and thought I would give it a try. To my amazement it was very entertaining and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a very good writer. It was a challenge to read the whole thing but well worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read any of Sherlock Holmes cases to give it a try.

Never much interested in mysteries and detective stories, but for various reasons decided I needed to read the originals, and have thoroughly enjoyed them. i will say though, that there have been a number of places where the scanning for electronic version has mistaken the words, but not so much as to make it unintelligible, just noticeable. Can't complain too much, though, for the price and size of the collection.

This collection of Sherlock Holmes stories was fantastic. The amount of story you get for $0.99 is incredible. I've thought about reading this for a long time, but it wasn't until I stumbled across this affordable package that I finally did. There were some errors in the text, which has been pointed out by other reviewers, but they didn't negatively affect my enjoyment at all.

A great value if you enjoy sherlock holmes. This collection will give the reader many hours of interesting reading of the great mysteries about the great detective. I highly recommend this collection. You can't beat the price and having all the stories in one volume is very convenient.

I love Doyle's Sherlock Holmes writings and have all the books already. However, seeing this collection I had to have it. That said, while the content is thoroughly done and enjoyable, the table of contents is poorly done. Thus, I have given this book 4 stars. Certainly a small quibble, but it really should have been done better with more distinguishing characteristics. I still highly recommend the collection, even with this minor annoyance.

This is Sherlock Holmes. Need I say more. The stories are certainly tamer than the current movies and TV shows based (loosely) on them, but the logic he employs really tickles me. I just love all of them.

Although I even like modern versions of the great sleuth (especially the PBS series) how can you turn down this collection as an e-book for 99 cents! Have found ones I never read and love re-reading the ones I have read. What more can I say?

Conan-Doyle is first rate in both science fiction and mystery. I would say he is the father of both genres. To read the original Sherlock Holmes stories is to see a quite different Holmes than is seen in the movies and TV.

This kindle edition contains multiple spelling, grammar and formatting errors not found in the originals. Very distracting, very disappointing. These stories are as wonderful as ever, but deserve better.

As the title goes, this is a complete collection of Sherlock Holmes novels by the great Conan Doyle. An excellent addition to any Kindle library especially if you happen to be a fan of detective stories and the like.

Sir Arthur's Sherlock Holmes is such an interesting personality. He and his partner in sleuthing, Dr. Watson, weave fascinating stories, short in length but strong in prose. These stories stand the test of time.

So these stories are available free on project Gutenberg... But they are not organized as well as this compilation. Is it worth it? It was for me but you decide what's good for you. I rate the stories at 5 stars.

I have always loved the stories and movies of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, so why not have the complete canon on my Kindle? Almost 120 years later, authors, playwrights and screenplay writers are attempting to match the genius of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and falling far short of his standard. Stick with the original!

I find the stories fun and entertaining. I remember trying to read them when I was in my early teens but couldn't quite grasp it. I'm glad I've picked them up again. Trying to figure out the solution before Holmes is not always possible but it's fun trying.

After searching used book stores all over for the books and short stories about Holmes, this Complete collection was a definite delight. There are so many stories and these originals are so very good.

All the Sherlock Holmes books in one fabulously affordable buy. I don't know how I missed these beautifully written mysteries, but I'm enjoying all of Sir Arthur's books now and by being able to read them on my Kindle, I can take them everywhere without having to carry around nearly 1800 pages and I'm helping save trees too.

I used to buy Sherlock Holmes in Dover Thrift editions. I thought those were a great deal until I found this collection for my Kindle. What a deal on the complete collection! It's awesome! I saw some freebies, but those were incomplete and plagued with formatting problems. This collection is very nicely formatted - better than most Kindle books that I read. Easily worth the money.

Was looking for an inexpensive electronic replacement for the paperback version of the B & N classic 2 vol set. Table of contents is formatted well. This is complete in that it includes The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes which I believe is still under copywright. I haven't started reading this version yet but glancing through I didn't see any glaring typos. Was a little doubtful when I read the reviews regarding A Study in Scarlet saying the second part was actually The Book of Mormon. Actually the second part of ASiS is a flashback to 1847 Utah from the account of one of the characters and is integral to the story. The lack of continuity is strange. I can't believe I forgot this because it is one of the stories I've read. At the sixth chapter of ASiS it reverts to "a continuation of the reminiscences of Dr. John Watson" I verified the story line from the Wikipedia entry for ASiS, So rest assured this does contain all of Arthur Conan Doyle's complete writings and looks to be well edited.

Obviously an OCRed version of the original, but the typos aside, amazing reading. I had never read the original stories, and I have found them as entertaining as Stephen King with quotable lines in every page.

This is an awesome collection of Holmes stories with an active Table of Contents.
Earlier I had thought the second part of Study in Scarlet was replaced by the Book of Mormon, but upon further reading I discovered that this second part really is about Mormons. Go figure!

This was well worth the long read. The short stories make it easy to pick up and put down without losing anything. The stories themselves are a treasure to read. The characters are intense and lively and the plots are fun and entertaining. Doyle's descriptive abilities make 19 th century England!!d come alive.

This edition has some errors in spelling and punctuation, but it was quite simple to read past without losing the original meaning of the sentences.
These books have been an absolute joy to read, bringing alive the rich world of the 19th century and infusing it with suspense and drama and most important of all, a dedication to Reason.

I now have a better understanding of the characters. The Kindle provides easy access to a dictionary so to understand the British phrases which helps to unfold the stories in their original environment.

This is a great price for all the Sherlock novels and stories. In addition, the ebook is arranged well with a proper linked table of contents that isn't always available with other books at this price.
There are a few typos and sometimes the formatting of the lines looks a little off. However, they don't detract from the story too much. If you don't already have a complete collection of Sherlock or you just want a digital version, this is a good buy.

I have been watching the new TV program titled "Elementary" based on the character Sherlock Holmes by Sir A Conan Doyle and I read that most were based on the stories, I am reading them to get a clearer picture of the character and the stories.
