Written from a different perspective than the guarde. Interesting, not my favorite in the series by any means. It does have a unique point of view so you see the villains of the series much more clearly.

This is really a good companion to I am number four. The story of a mog who isn't ordinary. Has a great twist ending. It will leave you on your feet the whole time you're reading it. I couldn't put it down. Definitely worth the money.

Great book with its few drawbacks. I agree it is short but the view of a heart felt mogadorian is outstanding idea from pittacuss lore. If you are like me and don't want to series to end definatly buy the lost file series I have em all.
Generation One (Lorien Legacies Reborn) :: The Guard (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 12) :: Nine's Legacy (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 2) :: The Forgotten Ones (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 6) :: Overlooked and Undervalued - but Not Forgotten by God

I only gave this a 1 because 1 stands for "I hate it".
This has got to be the worst writing I have read in years. I DID like the first four books of this series, but then of course, Jobie Hughes was really writing them, and he's a good writer. After James Frey blew up and decided he would not play nice with his partner, and wanted all the toys (read, $) for his own, Jobie parted ways with him. Now James Frey is either showing off his own incredibly poor writing skills, or he found no one on his little team of slave writers at Full Fathom Five who can write.
This book reads as if a talentless 12-year-old wrote it as an outline for a potential really BAD movie. You can't get interested in the characters because there's no depth to them at all, and the plot is ridiculous.
The new story revolves around a Mogodorian teenager. Seems the families of the Mog warriors colonized Earth secretly around the same time that the Lorien kids arrived here, but they keep themselves to themselves. So even though they live right in the middle of us as groups of families, in places like very wealthy Washington DC neighborhoods, somehow no one catches on. The Mog kids don't go to school, and don't socialize with Earth kids. You're supposed to feel sorry for the Mog General's son, who has caught on that it's not nice to kill innocent folks (especially Numbers One, Two and Three) or to bomb Earth to a smoking ruin, but he just can't seem to do anything about it. Oh yeah, then there's One, the Lorien girl first killed, who was brain-wired to the son for a while so he could recon what the Garde were doing. Sadly the wiring pushed him into a three year coma (no idea why this little plot point was necessary). The ghost of One now pops up in the son's head every so often to explain the error of his ways. Son dies at the end. Really.
And to top it off...this new story actually fills only 1/2 the pages of the book. The rest of the book is chapters one and two from each of the last five books in this series. What an incredible ripoff.
In case anyone reading my review is confused by my mention of Jobie Hughes and James Frey (together they were "Pittacus Lore" for the first four books), read this article (sorry, the store will not allow a link): in your browser, search for "James Frey wikipedia", then look in the reference section at the end of the James Frey article for the New York Magazine article entitled "Inside Full Fathom Five, James Frey's Yound-Adult-Novel Assembly Line". In case you did not know, James Frey is the guy who wrote a book about his life with drugs and jail that he claimed was true, and was lambasted by Oprah on TV for lying to her, the publishing industry and the public after his book was exposed as being pure fiction.

I love this series. They always leave me wanting more! I really liked reading from this perspective. I would love to know more about One, Two, and Three, maybe from their point of views later. For now, I'm ready for the next one now, please!

shame on me for not reading the reviews. dont make the same mistake. i finished this $3.99 book in twenty minutes! granted i read ultra fast but, it was only like 80 pages. yes, it says its 150 pages on the "buy now" sheet but, its not. what the author and book discription doesnt say is that 40% (not exagerating) of the book is all the intros to all the other novels! if you have the money it is a good read but, if you dont want to get ripped off dont buy it. unless it becomes nessisary to understand who this new character, adam is; click page back and read any other book buy this author because this one isnt worth it!

Way too much money. This was the length of a 99 cent short story. I expect a decent novella for $3.99, if not a full length novel. I still rate it 4 of 5 though because the story was quite intriguing!

If you are one of the readers who have been following this series, then I strongly recommend you to read The Lost Files: The Fallen Legacies. It's packed with a surprise that would make you want to read more of.
The Lost Files: The Fallen Legacies is shown in the point-of-view of a young Mogadorian, named Adamus. Yes, you read that right; it's from a Mog's perspective! Wow, I was completely caught of guard about that. From the previous books of the Lorien Legacies, we learned that the Mogs are the bad guys and the Lorien Gardes are always on the run because these aliens are hunting them down. Also from the previous books, the only features we know of the Mogadorians is that they are hideous, and you can tell they are not human. Well apparently not all of them are, but you'll have to see why and how that is for yourself.
Anyway, Adam (short for Adamus) is the son of the General of the Mogadorians. He is of course keen on destroying the Gardes, and he can't wait to claim a land he wants on Earth when they finally seize it as their own. That is until they finally caught up with Number One...
Although we find ourselves reading about how One, Two and Three died, this book also shows us the Mogs' way of living and the kind of technology they have at hand. All this is very interesting, and I for one would love to know more about it.
Truly villains aren't always what they seem, and Adam shows a different side of the story. I hope he makes an appearance in the next books to come.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE the idea behind releasing these shorter stories and giving background on the Lorien Gaurde. The extra information is great and it really wets my apatite in anticipation of THE RISE OF NINE. It has lots of action, great storytelling and I am so excited about the new character, Adam, and can not wait to see how he fits into the next full length novel. That being said, I do feel a little bamboozled when the story ended at 61%!!! The rest is just previews of the full length novels. It is more than a little disappointing to look forward to what I think is more of the story and then have it end when my page tracker is still at 61%. This my 3 star review for what is at least a 4 star story.

Well. Guess I should've waited for #3. As it directly precedes the events in #4. Oops! #1 and #2 don't flow the same way, so I assumed the rest wouldn't either. I was wrong. Oh well. No harm, no foul. At least the cliffhanger didn't bother me! These novellas are so good!! Creating such an amazing, full, well-rounded story!

It was great to get into a little bit of the back story of the first 3 Garde. The introduction of Adam and how he truly fits into the Garde was an added bonus. I cannot wait to see how he integrates with the remaining Garde in the upcoming books. So far he is my fave character.

This book was good because of all of the action that's took place. I think that the first book was a little bit better since it tells the story from the hero's point of view. Book two is good because it switches around and tells the story from the Mogadorian's point of view. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good war with super heroes and villains. I gave it a five-star rating because it's a really good book without many errors and mess ups.

I dont like this book because this book was only 150 pg long, but without the authors credits there is barely any pages to read 3.99 is the worst price for this book.1.99 is worth the price or maybe 2.99.I cant wait for the rise of nine.Hope its worth the price :)

This was very different from the other books in the series. It is much shorter and at times seems rushed. There is also a lot more profanity but as these are aimed for teens/young adults it isn't totally unrealistic. Over all it was a good fast read and gives a look into the life of the enemy.

I really enjoyed the book. Loved Adam and all the doubts and internal conflicts he was having about the "Mogadorian Cause". I really fell in love with the character and then you just don't know what happens to him. I'm hoping that the authors bring him back to at least tell us if he's dead or not in Rise of Nine because, I have to be honest, I was a little pissed with them leaving it the way they did. Otherwise I found it a very good read.

I loved the premise. Enjoyed the book more as I read it. What was the reason it stopped right in the middle? The story was just beginning to flower. The plot was just being fleshed out. Our intrepid hero had come to a fork in the road and boom "The End"

Complementa muy bien los primeros tres libros , conocer como fueron descubiertos y eliminados los tres primeros es interesante. El libro absorbe desde el principio hasta el final.
Lo recomiendo enormemente.
