I have always loved Kay Hooper's "Bishop" books. I have them all, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect
from a "Bishop Files" book, but it pulled me in right away. There is a lot going on in this book, and I didn't
want to put it down until I finished it. It is so well written that for a while I was convinced it wasn't going to be
able to end the way I wanted it to (and part of it didn't).

This book did not include Hooper's main character in all her paranormal books other than by a brief reference. It is more a romantic novel. I did learn a lot about the different types of seers. It just wasn't what I expect from this novelist.

I have always loved the kay Hooper 'Bishop' series, but this book was so very disappointing for me. If this is a preview for a new direction for the FBI and Haven, I won't be purchasing further books, unless there are drastic changes made to the story line.

I read everything by Hooper and usually enjoy her books. For some reason I had a hard time getting into this one and put it aside for days at a time, only finishing it when I was bored. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but I wish I hadn't preordered it so I could've read the sample. No more than 3-1/2 stars.

I have followed KayHooper for decades and enjoy all of her works. Like most prolific writers, sometimes their stories pale compared to others. Whereas I liked the story (spent a rainy afternoon reading it) it was not as intense or intricate as others (for instance, the first Bishop trilogy). I was excited, though, that she brought back Josh Long and Zack Steele. It will be great to revisit old friends. I look forward to Ms. Hoopers next installment.

Suspenceful and very entertaining. I kept picking it up even with the busy holiday to prepare for. An intriguing storyline that introduces several new characters to Hoopers already fascinating Bishop series.

I probably would not have purchased this book if I had read the sample first. I pre-ordered it as I do all of Kay Hooper's Bishop files books. This book had almost nothing to do with Bishop and his unit of psychics. I really did not care too much for the heroine until the very end. Perhaps Hooper will take this somewhere with a second book; but for now, I will wait and read the sample before I order.

I enjoyed reading "The Prophet," but I couldn't help thinking I was missing the connection to the characters. The characters seemed to have a history and didn't have enough depth in this novel. Still and all, it's a good summer read.
