Darkfall

The premise of the story was solid but the portrayals of characters were somewhat cliche and the dialogue did not seem realistic. Characters were either underdeveloped or developed in too short a period of time. Everything was explained and nothing was left to the reader's imagination. It was not terrifying nor thought provoking. I do not think this was anywhere near his best work and it was very disappointing, considering the reader ratings it was given.

I have read almost all of Dean Koontz books. This a good mix of action, romance and horror. It was a page turning and kept me reading we'll into the night. I wish the end was more solid. But other than that a good read.

Koontz does it again. He creates a macabre world where goblins and demons do exist. His descriptions of the beasts capture your imagination and make you question what evil lies in dark shadows. Five stars.

This was not my favorite Koontz book, the main characters really were not developed too well. However, it grabbed my attention early on and held it through to the end. It's a snappy little read, just not his best work. Enjoyed it.

Being 60 years of age, my husband has always enjoyed all the books I have ordered from the store. However, the font size on this book is considerably smaller than any of the other books received. Even the book size is smaller..
If the font size is different, it should be noted the same as "large print" books. He is very disappointed.
