I expected, in the Clancy tradition, to be riveted from the start with multiple, action-filled, high energy scenes. If I had a nickel for each action packed segment, well... I'd have a nickel. Full plot was predictable from the first few chapters. **sigh**

For those of us who enjoyed the Op-Center series, this is certainly right on time. While the old Op-Center personnel are no longer in place, the new team is right on par with Paul Hood's team. True Tom Clancy reading and full of action. Can't wait for the next book!

After being shut down for years because of Federal budget cuts, Ops Center is re-constituted in a new form. Instead of being after the other intelligence agencies, the new Ops Center uses computer algorithms written by computer geeks to look for pattern in the intelligence information collected by other intelligence agencies. (In Information Technology (IT), we call this "business intelligence" using "Big Data".) It is successful in detecting several threats before they are put into action.
Tom Clancy SSN :: Tom Clancy's Net Force: Gameprey (Net Force YA) :: Ghost Recon (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Book 1) :: Executive Orders (A Jack Ryan Novel) :: A gripping psychological thriller with an absolutely brilliant twist

I like this new OP-center! The writing was complicated and suspenseful. Tom Clancy's best style is how he weaves complicated storylines into one cohesive storyline. As usual the unfolds like life, not one event at a time but unexpected directions. This was a good read and now I'm going to go and order the entire series again

Been reading Tom Clancy since the beginning...he never ceases to provide a good and very accurate read. I always learn something new about our fine military..whether its LANs forces, sea or air. Thanks again for a great story line and another great read!!!

This is a straight forward description of how a perfect Presidential Rapid Response Unit would operate under ideal conditions. It is very much a feel good story idealizing our intelligence and military organizations. The plot is weak, and there are no surprises. I learned some things about technology and weaponry, but human and organizational interaction was pretty much missing.

Not a very exciting read.
