Ghost Recon is a fantastic game and a strong series. Often times video games don't translate well into other mediums like movies or novels. But while not Shakespeare Ghost Recon does a pretty good job of keeping fans of the video game happy while appealing to those looking for a light read in the semi high tech military genre. There is some character growth but not what you would find in a typical novel. That said since you can't kick back and play the game while killing time on a bus or plane, this is the next best thing. I recommend it for fans of the game and think those who haven't played the series but enjoy the Tom Clancy Universe will also find it a worth wild read.

Factual error... Islam did not swarm over the middle east in the second half of the first century. Islam wasn't invented until 600+ AD.Gave up on Book 2 after 2 pages .Things dont look good for the Net Force series either .Clancy in no Lee Childs and his forgettable character is no Jack Reacher. .
Executive Orders (A Jack Ryan Novel) :: Tom Clancy's Net Force: Night Moves :: Debt of Honor (A Jack Ryan Novel) :: Clear and Present Danger (A Jack Ryan Novel) :: Tom Clancy's Net Force: Gameprey (Net Force YA)

If a novel is a contract between two imaginations author David Michaels gives us more than enough ammo to fight alongside Captain Scott Mitchell and his Ghost Team.
From the Southern Philippines, Northwest Waziristan, and Xiamen, China, Mitchell and his Ghosts carry out the Army's clandestine ops; coping with the impact of unforeseen tragedy, remembering lessons-learned, and treasuring camaraderie.
But during Operation War Wrath in Xiamen, China, a decade-old tragedy resurfaces endangering the mission and the team. Mitchell now must fight his rage, complete the mission, and bring his wounded and battle-weary team out of China --- vanishing like the ghosts they trained to be.

I have come to understand that the Tom Clancy novels are descriptive yet concise (fictionary) facts based upon the general American desire of a belief in it's country and it's endeavor to bring social justice to all of humanity!

Save your money! The book is full of inaccuracies concerning military hardware and tactics. From Black Hawk helicopter with skids, (they have wheels), to sudden promotions of rank from Master Sergeant to Captain and then back to Master Sergeant, all within the same fire fight, a mission briefing for a super secret military unit in a partially remodeled warehouse instead of a secured military facility. Come on! I find these inaccuracies reduce the creditability of the writer and thus the story. The book does not provide the reader any real depth into the advance technologies that the Ghost could use. You could learn more from a good episode of Future Weapons.
I wish I could get my money back.

Please RateBook 1), Ghost Recon (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Please people with the money, if you buy a new book, include a used one in your shopping cart. That will help the store enormously in their storage, and it can help you too. At some places the price can’t lower to lesser a penny. Take a used book for a 0.01$ anywhere.
It has many usage including, “Cash4Books.net”
Recycle it or Burn it for survival heat. Use two books as spacers to raise your monitor because it’s always better to view at eye leveled to the center of your screen. Even better, send it to donation, any library would take it, or the third world too.
Do not fear a book because it has no teeth!!
When you open your used book, wear gloves if you have to, then you’ll realize, “This book ain’t that bad after all.”
Good read and peace!!
