Every person should read this and be reminded how everything that we do really has a meaning a purpose and an effect on others . This is the fastest and most powerful little book that you will ever read. It is a great reminder of how every life matters . We never know who what when or how but we are all connected

A book does not have to contain hundreds of pages to make its point - certainly this one does not. It is a call to one to recognize one basic truth - your life has much meaning as long as you are open to discover why you were given the opportunity to make a difference in your circle of influence.

The author chooses two wonderful examples to explain the thesis that every action has unknown effects in the world, from the proposition that a butterfly's wings stir molecules that disturb other molecules which can eventually have unbelievable effects as the disturbances affect previously undisturbed elements in the unfolding story of this world.
Our lives are like the butterfly wings in that everything we do or not do has an effect in the microcosm which makes up the macrocosm.

Years ago when a particular movie, with the same name, came out, I found the whole concept of The Butterfly Effect fascinating. It was the first time I had heard of it. The author takes you on a journey back in time, and by using examples from our own history books, demonstrates how differently our lives are today, because of The Butterfly Effect. I don't want to give anything away by sharing too much detail though. Just Read It. Really. Read it.

I really enjoyed The Butterfly Effect. Reading the book helped me to become conscience of my actions. Also, it is helping me to be a better leader, manager, mother, grandmother, a better person. Being aware of your actions and reactions encourages one to be loving and kind.
Thank you Mr. Andrews

Very well received by the gift recipient.
My daughter-in-law found it very inspirational and a good book to share with her children.
I will buy more to give to my grandchildren as they graduate in the next few years.

This is not a science book about butterflies, but does take one theory about butterflies and applies it to humans - everything you do matters. Yes, everything! You do not have to do big important things worthy of making the national news to matter to others in a big way. The minute by minute decisions of life you make matter in some way to others. You may not even be aware of how you have affected the lives of others, but you have. Read the book and you will want to then buy multiple copies to give to people who have made a difference in your life. You can't buy just one!

The premise of this book is that all actions/interactions can have far reaching effects beyond our wildest imagination. In presenting two real life historical events, he makes it easy to visualize how one small event shapes the course of history years later. Should be required reading for elementary, middle and high schools. It would not hurt if adults read it and paid attention to the message. I read it aloud to a group as a moral leadership lesson. Takes less than 15 minutes.

Butterfly Effect takes you down the road to help you see, much like George Bailey in "It's A Wonderful Life," that your life does really matter. You can change the world by your everyday actions. You will never know whose life you will impact in the future by living out your day with integrity today.

A wonderful book. I recommend that everyone read this. It's a short read with historical significance where we see that the choices we make can affect others at a date beyond our life times. Good and bad choices can and do have a lifetime effect on ourselves and others.

Quick read lots of history in-twined with a simple concept. A great gift book for anyone especially if you know someone struggling with "What is their purpose in life" I read it with a friend for discussion and support.

The CONTENT of this "book" is excellent: informative and inspirational. It is very much worth your time to read it.
Where I have a problem with it is that the content is about the length of a brochure; it reads more like an introduction to the book, rather than a complete book. I finished the book expecting that the next page would be "Chapter 1", not "The End". It would have been excellent if the author had continued on to fully develop the ideas introduced in this brief tease.
The real problem is that the store is charging the price of a full book, and delivering what seems to be only the introduction to it. This is a brochure-length product for a full-book price. I will NOT purchase another e-book from Andy Andrews.

Based on the title and the theory of the Butterfly Effect, that something as simple as the flap of a butterflies wings can cause an earthquake across the country, I was expecting something else. I have to be honest I did not read the book from cover to cover, I just browsed through it. From what I could see the people in the stories did some really big incredible things that made changes that effected the future in a big way. I was hoping for simpler stories of ordinary people who did little things that had a great effect. I was looking for stories of simple hope that made a change. This was not for me.

This is the sweetest book, easy to read, uplifting and life affirming. Andy Andrews goes into detail about how even if we think our lives aren't significant, things that we do or say to those around us can have life altering consequences. I bought this book for my 11 year old granddaughter who is mature for her age and a voracious reader. I wanted her to understand that her life does matter, and to get that in to her at a young age so that when she matures and has things that cause her to doubt herself, she may fall back on the idea in this book and know that she matters. I sincerely recommend this book for anyone. Young or old, it is a beautiful book.

It makes you think about what, how & your decisions will effect. It also made me realize that how I live could be better or worse than I've ever dreamed of because of what happens on another's life who was touched by me or someone I touched.
