Too violent and not smart. I was thinking it would be more like Leverage the tv show. Smart, strong females taking a stand and getting justice. There comes a point we're its about justice, but once a line is stepped over it's just as evil. Not my thing.

I love those women who have fallen between the cracks of law and order, these weekend warriors, these avengers, who will leave no stone unturned to seek justice for those for whom Lady Justice has turned her head. I can just picture Myra, who is so precious and Charles who is the genious of the Sisterhood. What a motley crew and what wonders they have done. I'm reading the whole series. I want more, more, more.

This author really draws the reader in to the story, and keeps the pages turning. I liked the suspense of wondering and hoping if the women would succeed, and it's always refreshing when the good guys win.
Payback (Sisterhood) :: Take Down (The Men of the Sisterhood Book 3) :: The Jury (Sisterhood) :: Deadly Deals (Sisterhood) :: Double Down (The Men Of The Sisterhood)

A fast moving page turner. I've already ordered the next book in the series.
It also does a short review so if there is a lapse between reading the first and then subsequent
books, you're reminded of who the characters are. I do not think you have to read in sequence.

This was the beginning of the Sisterhood series where a group of women who were victims of a failure of the legal system band together in a "vigilante" group to extract their own form of justice. The first case they tackle concerns 3 men who attacked and raped a truck driver while her disabled husband was powerless to intervene. The women are from various walks of life and professions including an MD and they decide to lure the three men to a motor cycle rally and spirit them away for a quick castration, before returning to their camp ground. That's the basic story, but there are several sub stories as well. I have read a number of the later books and liked them and was glad to find the first one for the kindle

This idea of retribution for some pretty evil people who through mistakes by prosecutors or holes in the law were let go sounded like a good idea. Not so! I felt like I was watching a video game and I hate games. I diligently worked hard to finish this trying to find something interesting. Not much there. There were too many people involved and too many permutations of plot with truly stupid moves by people who were described to be not only intelligent but especially intelligent. I wouldn't have been so annoyed at wasting my time except that the writing was very good but that was all that was good. Too bad.
