I read this series when they first came out. Liked it very much but because it took so long for the new books to come out; I lost interest. I can not believe how much I missed the first time around. It is good to have them all written & be able to read right thru.

Never changes nothing happens in the book until the last 3 chapters. Dont get me wrong I like the storey and the concept is great but there is alot of storey that has no bearing on the main plot at all. You will find yourself skimming chapter after chapter and not missing anything.

Overall enjoyed it. I just wish the main narrative of the story would be progressed sometime soon. 're-reading for the final book to be released this year,2013. Last time I will ever have to do this.

As Rand takes over Illian, they offer him the crown. Matt is helping Elayne and Nineveh as they search for a bowl to help change the weather. The Seanchan invade again causing more strife and more worries.

Up until this book the story has seemed very good vs evil with the characters being dragged along by events they can't control. This book really defines the point when each of the characters starts to be the driving force in the world. Instead of just doing what they are told to, or have to out of necessity, they are out into situations where their decisions drive the world and they have to face the consequences for those decisions. Shorter than other books of the series, but filled with much more story altering events.

Getting a bit monotonous. There are parts where the story advances, but some of it is dragging; especially after 7 books now. Keep waiting for another turn of events. This far into it though, can't go back now.

I read the reviews before purchasing the book so I knew before hand that not much of the plot would be advanced by the time I finished this tome. It could have been because I went in with the worse of expectation of the book that by the time I was finished I was pleasantly surprised.

A Crown of Swords written by Robert Jordan reveals a wonderful story about the battle against the dark one in a medieval world filled with magic and dark creatures. This book seems to focus on Rand Al'Thors building hatred and ditrust of the Aes Sedai and by the end Rand conquers Illian and despises any and all Aes Sedai. Robert Jordan weaves a fantastic tale around all the main characters. I was not able to put the book down and give it five stars.

The use of each individuals perception of the actions around them allows parallels for anyone's life. As situations arise and conclude, you have the opinion of different characters all describing the same event. It helps to remind me that everything is not what it seems to be just because of my opinion.

A crown of Swords continues the wheel of time series and is just as wonderful as all of the series. I love that it is fantasy for adults as well as, I 'll say, teens. There certainly is no inappropriate language and any other events are discrete (adult) and well done. I look forward to reading everyone of the the series.
