The first book in this series From the Wreckage absolutely killed me. It left me awe inspired and slightly broken. Okay, it left me a lot broken. But I had hope, yes Michele G Miller gave me hope. There was going to be a book 2, EEP! I was giddy and nervous. I found out there was also going to be a book 3. I bit my nails. My mind was going a hundred miles an hour thinking of all the things that could happen in the next two books. Michele G Miller already ripped my heart out with From the Wreckage and with two more books it opened me up to a lot more. Crap! Yup, crap is right. And heart break happened. Heart break is starting to become my expectation from Michele G Miller. I know when I pick up one her books that I'm going to cry. I know it, yet I read it anyways. I think I sort of enjoy it. Maybe a small part of me is a masochist. Really I think it's that the other part of me that makes me read them. The part of me that sees hope, roots for love, and desires happy ever after.

Either way I was prepared for this one. I knew I was going to get my heart ripped out. What I didn't expect was how it happened. Michele G Miller completely blindsided me. I wanted to punch a hole in the wall the minute I read those hurtful pages. I cried so much I had to re-read pages because I couldn't see. So of course I cried more. It was brutal. But it was beautiful.

Out of Ruins was beautiful in that it was laced with promises of the future and forgotten lives. It gave me hope for that happy ever after. Though there was hope there was still despair, sorrow, and guilt. Jules and West survived that fateful night in Out of Ruins we get to see everything that goes with that. Unfortunately life moves on, and you have to learn to deal with all that happened. Out of Ruins is that story. It is a personal tale of survival and everything that goes with it. Moving on, moving up, getting better, finding hope, and being happy.

Michele G Miller does a phenomenal job of making you not only see this story come to life, but feel it. Every moment of it felt real. I felt every ounce of Jules pain as her story unfolded. I root for her like I would a friend and I wanted to crawl into the book and be a shoulder for her to cry on. And I wanted to crawl into West's head and know his every thought.

The tale of Jules and West is so full of struggle, emotion, and pain there is no way Michele G Miller could have put all this into one book. With her telling of the story it has the chance to unfold naturally. Giving the reader the chance to fully immerse themselves in the story. Allowing them to feel every emotion. See and feel the pain and struggle.

Out of Ruins was a beautiful tale that left me emotionally distraught, torn, angry, and thirsty for more. Michele G Miller filled my heart with happiness and hope and ripped it away from me just when I had stopped looking back. It is a story that despite knowing how it ends, I would read again. I would allow Michele G Miller to rip my heart out, just to live in that book one more time.

For all you happy ever after readers out there. Readers who thrive on the struggle and fight for happiness and love, this book is for you. Seriously, just pick up this series already.

There are so many *WONDERFUL* things I could say about Michele G Miller as both a person and an author. But today, I am focusing on her new release Out of Ruins (From the Wreckage Book 2).

I'm a sucker for a love story. And when that love story is built out of hardship and tragedy and has to endure trials along the way...I know I'm in for a great read. Michele did not disappoint in her second installment of the From the Wreckage trilogy. In FtW, we met Jules and West as they live through a tornado hitting their town. Out of Ruins continues their story where FtW left off and we get to see their budding relationship grow. As with any high school romance, there is sure to be trials and tribulations. Can the love that grew out of the ruins of the storm hold strong or will it all fall to rubble? Read Out of Ruins and find out! I can't wait for book 3!

Speechless. That is how Out of Ruins left me. When I finished this heartachingly beautiful story I wiped my tears away, because yes I was crying, and just sat on my bed at a complete and utter loss of words.

Jules and West are two teenagers who have experienced an immense amount of loss, grief, and guilt at a very young and already difficult age. Instead of dealing with their guilt and grief in healthy ways, they get cover up the pain with alcohol, sex, and love. Their story is proof that even when things seem to be going well on the outside, everything can be falling to pieces on the inside.

If you have not already read From the Wreckage, book 1 in this series, you seriously need to one click it now.

Well Michele has once again ripped my heart out.
In From the Wreckage we dealt with a physical tornado. In Out Of Ruins we deal with an emotional one.
I am completely in love with Jules and Wests story. Not only are they teenagers dealing with the heavy emotions of young love, but everything is magnified by the trauma of the near death experience they shared. But is that experience the only reason for their bond? Or is it really genuine love? In this sequel, doubts are dealt with and insecurities faced. And the biggest twist will smack you right in the chest. Trust me, by the end- you won't know what hit you.

Guaranteed satisfaction! After the last words of the book are devoured, one marks the calendar for the next book release date in the trilogy. I fell in love with the characters and the pace of the story. The author will certainly receive accolades for her talents with this novel. I didn't want to put the book down. If teachers or high school students are seeking a book for a project or lesson in character development and foreshadowing then this is the book to select. The intimacy is tastefully approached. The story is beautifully written. I look forward to the release of “All That Remains”, August 2014! You will cheer for West and Jules too, wow what a love story!

I have reread this series not once, but twice, they are all completely amazing! As someone who had read this book first by mistake and a great lover of the whole series I highly recommend you either go back and read the first one or start with that one as you don't want to miss out. Julies and Wests story grips you from the beginning so much so, I warn you...only pick this book up if you have time to read the whole thing because you wont be able to put it down!
