I discovered the world of Pern after reading The Littlest Dragon Boy in a Jr. High text that I was teaching. I Loved
it then and still do. The 3 other short stories in this book are just as as delightful and worth reading!

Being a lover of dragons, and these in particular, of course, I've collected every one of them. I was sorry to have to say goodbye to Anne McCaffrey, which means that's the end of her stories. She was great.

The book was a great collection of short stories from the world of Pern. I enjoyed the book so much that I had it finished in just a short time. As with any book from the Pern series it was hard to put down, you just want to see what happens next.

I have loved the inhabitants of Pern since I read the first book when I was just a young girl in love with dragons.
This book brought back my childhood sense of wonder and hope for people caring for one another. I am going to start the series again! Thank you dragonriders.

The stories needed to go a little further, to give a satisfying end to them. They just stopped and left you hanging and from all of her stories in the past, I don't recall any of them picking up where the last one left off.

This was a delightful collection of stories in the best spirit of Pern. Not tales of weyrs, or of fighting Thread, but of people who are usually not in the spotlight. I would be excited to have more stories such as these, maybe longer.

Beautiful illustrations and stories that nicely supplement a world that is already dear to my heart. Anne has built later upon layer to make this fantasy of Pern as much a reality as any other human societal structure.

A Gift of Dragons is a light interesting read for a rainy day. Anne McCaffrey's Pern holds your interest from the first chapter to the last page. When you finish the first book in the Pern series you can't help but read them all. I can't wait to get the next one.
