Love Handles was a pretty good read. I expected more comedy. I wanted to laugh more, however I love a good underdog story. As the characters begin to expose the truth about the grandfather, the story became so interesting that I could not put it down. I love the deceptively sweet main character. She proves you can get more bees with honey.

Enjoyed the story and romance. Never read this author before. Would have given 5-stars, but held back due to the ending. All of a sudden some of the characters that were briefly mentioned came out in the ending and were given a larger role that seemed out of the blue... wasn't fitting.
Still a nice & easy read and getting ready to read another by Galway

The main character is far too forgiving of her two aunts, her rather backhanded complimentary mother and the over the top male interest. I refuse to change to please anyone, and the way she just caves into his view about her physical looks tic me off. I also would have made sure both sneaky money hungry aunts were arrested for thievery. The woman should not be such a doormat to others.

I enjoyed Love Handles and couldn't help comparing it to Jayne Anne Krentz's (which has a much darker edge.) This author took the time to develop her characters and move the plot along. It was an enjoyable read.

This story shows how bad parents can hurt their children. Not showing love, treating one child better than the others. But sometimes one or more children can come though with empathy and love in their heart.

Bev, out heroine, is a doormat. Liam, our hero, is an arrogant ass. So how is this a romance? She inherits her grandfather's company even though she never really knew him. Liam thinks he deserves the company since he's worked his butt off there for 10 years. Grandpa has a plan for Liam to get the company by seducing little ole Bev, the overweight preschool teacher. That's the romance. Wow! Throw in nasty mother, conceited sister, tyrannical aunt, mystery stalker and father and brother who think Bev isn't capable of anything important, and you have all the ways a person has to deal with dysfunctional family members. It just kept going on and on. Just missed the romantic comedy part of this hole story.

A bit of mystery mixed with tons of sexual tension make for a book you just can't put down. I read this book straight through to the wee hours of the morning. So glad I stumbled upon this new to me author. Gretchen Galway is amazing.

Couldn't get enough of this refreshing story! The writing is spot-on & near to flawless. The comedy is great and the characters a likable, easy to relate to, and connect with. I look forward to reading more from this series and Gretchen Galway.

I really enjoyed the characterization in this book! This book had a terrific mix of humor, romance and intrigue. The twist on who one of the character's was toward the end of the book was well-done! Great read!

A granddaughter inherits her grandfathers fitness clothing company thats ready to fall apart. His top executive decides he wants to show the girl that being not experienced in the clothing industry (as she was a part-time school teacher) he would make her give up the business but somehow they7 get involved.

I LOVED it! The characters were fresh and relatable. The lead was strong yet flawed and just trying to make her imprint on the world. The love story was sweet and also HOT. The side characters were quirky and very amusing. I highly recommend it. Found a new favorite author. '

Beverly Lewis has inherited her grandfather's company, but everybody either doesn't want her to have it or they think she can't handle it. She will gladly give responsibility to her aunt in exchange for money that she can either use to get herself a better place to live or plans that she has for the preschool she works for. But Liam would really hate her to sell because Ellen would probably just sell the place and then his job as executive vice president will probably be gone along with some of the other jobs. He wants Bev to take ownership and then convince her to leave him in charge when the job overwhelms her. But she is determined to prove the naysayers wrong. What happens if she finds herself liking the job and even it making her happy? Will does this possibly mean for her and Liam? Can she really turn the company around and prove everyone wrong? This is the third book I have read by this author and liked it a lot.

I loved this book! Simply because you have one career does not mean you can't go in another direction and have another. This is what happened to Beverly Lewis. Everyone thought she was just a sweet school teacher and didn't has the guts to make it in a business world but she proved everyone wrong.

Beverly is not thin by any means. She is beautiful in other ways. When inheriting her grandfather's designer clothing company, Beverly is thrust into a real fight with other jealous relatives and friends. She falls in love with the VP thru it all. Will he return the love, or does he just want to get the company by using her?

The comedy was subtle and the storyline original. This could have been any dysfunctional family. The main characters were well developed, with realistic flaws. Good start to a series. I will definitely read the next book.

I am struggling to write this review. The story is well written, but there is too much profanity, vulgarity, foul language, or whatever you want to callit in the book. I don't talk like this and really don't see the need to. Since I started reading this book I have sturggled to keep reading it and have decided I just can't finish it.

I love this book! The story is intriguing enough to keep you wondering what will happen next. A great balance of reality and fantasy; storyline and sensuality. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a thrilling story with very thrilling love connection. Not the average romance novel.

My only comment is that the book is classified as a Romantic Comedy - there was zero comedy. Not even unfunny comedy. If you want to read a Romance novel, this is fine. If you want a Romantic Comedy, find something else to read.

When you see a book advertised as a Romantic Comedy the romance is pretty much a given, but the comedy....not always there. But Love Handles delivered! I literally laughed out loud several times. Loved the book.

I love this author her characters irresistible. I feel like her stories are a based on reality. Strong self reliant women with just enough body issues to be relatable. This is my third book I've read of hers in the past month! She gets that intellect is sexy, that emotions make for ...well hotter sex lol

The best part of this book was the relationship between Bev and Liam. The only weakness is Bev is presented as such a great girl that it is almost inconceivable that she would be alone at 30. The story about the business was not as interesting but as a whole the book was a good read.

Family drama, romance, business woes and some normal size women. Teacher turns business woman who learns there is not much difference between pre-k kids and some adults. Some laugh out loud lines and situations make a fun read. Will definitely read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a nice change. Bev and Liam are too cute! She tried something new. She was brave. Liam found what he was looking for but never knew he needed. I can't wait to read the next one.
