Book III, Sojourn: The Legend of Drizzt

Salvatore is magic , when he puts words on paper it holds you in his spell . When I first read Salvatore I was hooked I couldn't wait for the next book to be written.(legacy) I enjoyed it in a rough draft copy. unforgettable . now I'm 40 and I am still under his spell after 25 years.

This was an awesome experiance to read, and it would be a solid 5 stars, save for one oversight. When Drizzt recounts how he came to be Guenhwyvar's master the story was told in contrast to how it played out in Homeland. Beside that though it was a great book

Book 1 of the Legend of Drizzt series, Homeland, was a hard read at first with the long complicate names but once I got past that I really liked it and decided to keep reading. I've now read 25+ books from RA Salvatore and would recommend all Legend of Drizzt, Hunters Blade, Transitions, and Neverwinter books as great fantasy reads. Salvatore has such great character development and interesting new adventures that make you want to keep reading. There is a fair amount of fighting, if you're not into that I'd still recommend these books, just read through those parts fast.

The pace of these books flow. Enough detail to let you visualize what is happening without drawing it out and slowing down the plot. I listened one of these books a day from the trilogy as I moved across country, driving 10 hours a day. When the book was over I'd find a place to stop and download the next for the morrow. It helped the time fly.

I got sucked into this series when a friend recommended it to me. I can't put the books down.
Anyone who enjoys a good fantasy novel will really love these books. Drizzt is definitely one
of my favorite series.

Principled and thought provoking. Makes one feel there is hope for the world when watching Drizzt stand against all odds for what he believes is innately right. Makes a person examine their own moral compass.
