The word is brooch, not broach!! I almost quit reading the book, this was so annoying. The rest of the book seemed to be well-researched, but the item of jewelry was a big part of the plot, and the author used the wrong word throughout the book. Hard to believe an editor did not catch this. Just because it is A word, doesn't mean it is THE word!!

I love history, particularly the old school days of America when our forefathers carried muskets......and intrigue, and sleuth - it's all here....as an author myself, I will tell you that Mr. Karpovage nails it, and has crafted a story that kept me turning page after page......I'll be reading more of his work and following him closely.....

I found this book to be very interesting, particularly as it was tied to historical fact. Not being familiar with the area, this novel makes me want to learn more about the area and the native Americans from that area!

A great mystery keeping you wanting to read more without stopping. Makes you want to read the next book as the story keeps on going. Now for the 3rd book. The story line is filled with history and fiction and so very captivating.

This book kept me interested from the very first to the very end. Living in New York State may have biased my interest, but I really thought this story was well done, lots of historical facts and plenty of suspense. Looking forward to reading Map of Thieves next.

I enjoyed this book very much. Fast paced, with a good mystery. It covered geographic details of the Finger Lakes region beautifully. Done poorly, these types of details can ruin a book for me. This author did his homework. Tununda is a character that will be fun to follow in future books.

Enjoyed the story very much. Can relate to this story very closely. Kept my interest from the beginning and through the whole novel. Use of the Native American legends was intriguing and tying it with Freemasons was interesting.

The historical content adds a lot to the story. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Native American history. I had Google earth open while reading to follow the story on the map. I have been to the finger lakes region and never knew about the Seneca depot.
