To countless boys and girls of past generations the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series are like old friends. Over the years both series were "updated" with more modern language. They also had their racial stereotypes cut out. For better or worse these gems of childhood literature live on in the way they were originally meant. Few things beat curling up with one on a dark and stormy night.

Hard cover books - can withstand the wear and tear of kid handling , only problem is that my 8 year daughter who is a copious reader is barely interested in the series, maybe she will become more interested as she gets a little older

Great books for young readers. Always loved Nancy Drew as a child and now want to start giving these to my grandchildren. My granddaughter took these books and ran in her bedroom and I didn't see her for the rest of my visit. They came in A-1 condition so I am very please about that as well as the price. Will order more books again. (Maybe some for me!!)

As my sister and I loved Nancy Drew (the original), I thought it would be a great Christmas gift for my great-niece. Delivery took longer than I expected, but the books (new) arrived in plenty of time for holiday gift-giving.

Got this for my granddaughters birthday. I enjoyed as a kid as I hoped she would. She recently called to say she loves the books and wants more. She loves to try to figure out the clues before Nancy does.

If you ever curled up happily to read Nancy Drew, you'll love this boxed set of the very first ones from the 1930's. Very well presented and makes a nice gift. I bought a second set for a friend's daughter. Highly recommend it.
