The Tubby character and all of his wacky friends make for an interesting few hours of entertainment. Great story line. For sure, easy reading. Love the New Orleans setting and makes me wish I could go back for the exciting music, food and crowd entertainment.

Interesting story line, but appears lazily written. Did not contain the detail and continuity of the previous Tubby series. I enjoyed reading it, but somehow felt cheated. The ending was sudden and unexpected. However, I liked the ending.

Not my first Tubby Dubonnet mystery, but one of the better ones. I may even read the whole series. Tubby is a good guy, which is not always the case with detectives. And the language is not offensive, so that makes me happy.Granny

Always good to read any of Tubby's adventures. Again hated the ending. Not usual but love all the twists and turn and unique and fascinating characters. Looking forward to book 9 whenever its written and published.

A masterful depiction of the legal world of New Orleans as seen through the eyes of a colorful lawyer. The characters that contribute to the plot are all unique in their personhood and contribute to the this unique view of the South.

Another really great story in the life of Tubby Debonnet.
I have really enjoyed the whole series of the adventures of Tubby Debonnet. I would recommend this whole series to anyone who enjoys lawyer/detective mystery/adventure novels.

This was a very interesting book. It kept me awake some nights reading at all hours. I couldn't get any work done because I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. It did take me awhile to get all the characters straight though. That could be because of my age, 72, and not the writing!

This was a great book with the se rich characters that you'd expect. The plot was interesting with several sidebars, equally interesting. I think this is one of his better books, but all are good. I look forward to more!

This book is interesting with a plot that holds enough turns to make it readable. The ending needs to be the beginning for a new. All in all this book some twist that are believable and some that are not so easy to believe.

Tony Dunbar is one of my favorite writers, the adventures of Tubby Dubonnet are a fun read and hard to put down. This past summer was a blur for me, as all I remember doing is reading every one of Mr. Dunbar's books that I could get my hands on. Get his books and read them now, you won't be disappointed.

Tubby can't help himself from pursuing justice even if it takes him down rough paths into deeper New Orleans. Though more the length of a novella there's plenty of action, intrigue and a hook into the next book.

Another Tony Dunbar authored Tubby Dubonnet novel. I have read them all, except "TUBBY MEETS KATRINA".I have enjoyed them all and read any future books. I didn't read KATRINA because I'm burned out on katrina. (the storm).

Tubby is at it again. This time his personal interest in a decades old murder has him and those around him in the cross-hairs. Familiar characters and a great story makes this worth your time to read.

The Tubby Dubonnet series is always a fun read. You get to know Tubby's characters through the people he meets as well as the circumstances he finds himself in. It is a lite read but a very entertaining one.

the story is interesting and creative. the ending again is pitiful. it's like he got lazy and couldn't think of a better way to end it except to just stop writing. plus his smart protagonist is ovoid sly clueless when it comes to important matters.
