This is the wonderful sequel to his first book "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" and it is equally as entertaining and inspiring. There was a period of time in the first book to which the author eludes, but does not share the details, this book is based on the events that took place during that time. Once again, Dan Millman shares his adventures in an easy to read, entertaining format while still sharing insights that, if applied, will have a very positive effect on the readers' life.

I read this one right after Peaceful Warrior, which I liked much better. This one was very enjoyable though.

I especially enjoy his way of telling the story and weaving in the inspirational stuff. His characters are well developed and lovable.

I was very disappointed in the the Afterword section where he seems to say he doesn't mediate, etc. anymore. I mean, what's the point of his 1st two books?

"Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior" truly inspired me. Rarely do I ever re-read books, but this one I've read several times. There are fabulous passages which I've highlighted. In fact, a good bit of this book is now colored yellow! It really spoke volumes to me about life .... I've given many copies as gifts and it remains one of my top favorites! A real treasure in my library!

I think what intrigues me most about Millman's work is the psuedosemi-autobiographical nature of the the stories he tells. The anecdotes that didn't actually happen drive home a very powerful point, and the anecdotes that did actually happen are just as amazing and world-view altering as the fiction.

In Sacred Journey, Millman shares with his readers another of his teachers on his path through life. Saturated with the wit, inspiration, and one-liners that so well established themselves in Peaceful Warrior, this book is expands upon his quest to enlightenment by focusing on the instructions of a wise Kahuna woman.

I highly recommend this book to those interested in learning about the journey of this peaceful warrior--one of many possible paths.

Ever since I read "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" my life has been completely different. "Sacred Journey" is a perfect companion to his first book, exploring the meaning of spirituality and inner strength more. At some points you will feel as though you're actually there with Dan, taking yourself to the edge of your humanity. A wonderful story!

Dan Millman is one of the most lucid and inspiring writers living today. I have read many metaphysical / spirituality / mystic books over the last 20 years and Dan's are among the best. Clear, simple writing that take you on a journey you won't soon forget. Pure magic.

I am currently enjoying the Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior. Although I have not ended the book, it is uplifting and fun reading for early mornings in the hot tub!!! It is somewhat spiritually uplifting and I appreciate that very much. I have other projects in the middle that is why the reading is going a little more slowly but in this way I can enjoy it a little more as well. Thank you for this review.

This book really should only be read after you have read Way of the Peaceful Warrior. This one takes place sort of in the middle of the other. It states in the preface the exact page number where you could actually put the other book down, read this one, and then pick the other back up again and continue on. But, it is a great story and I highly recommend it!

Dan Millman has not only had some wonderful mystical experiences but has the ability to capture their insights in and profund yet pragmatic way. He wraps these very practical techniques to one's spiritual and emotional development in an exciting adventures. His writing is compelling and based pretty much on his own experiences.

This sequel to The Way of the Peaceful Warrior transports the reader to the moments of Dan Millman's self discovery...acknowledging his inner spirit. Highly recommended for all those beginning their own journey down the path of the Peaceful Warrior. Many questions left unanswered in the first book are revealed to the reader in this account of Millman's quest for 'the' answer, and in the end....you'll just have to read the book!

The book was shipped round Christmas time and I guess must have gone lost somewhere on the way in the Christmas frenzy.

When told about this Atlanta Book Company apologized for this though it is unlikely that it was the company's fault and resent another copy of the book.

Great service.

This book will broaden your ability to understand the supernatural and give you positive energy. It will also deepen your ability to pursue your dreams, and shed the negative vibes you get in life from other people and events. A must read for anybody looking to jumpstart their spiritual journey.

I really enjoyed the final installment and story of Socrates. It was adventurous, exciting, educational, and emotional to the end. I felt that it really tied everything together and left me feeling a great understanding of the underlying story line.
