Susan P Thompson is amazing! I first found her last year - overweight and very frustrated that none of the many diets I had tried were successful on a long term basis. Susan spoke about the "badly behaving brain" and the science behind why "diets" are not successful long term for most people. Finally, someone made sense!! I signed up for the bootcamp and can say that so far I have eliminated 26 pounds! I am not at my goal yet, but I will get there... Now to have her book is a blessing for me. I have read it cover to cover.... To be able to reread the science - to reinforce and understand how my brain is healing as I am getting healthy is invaluable.
Bright Line Eating, the Science of Living Happy, Thin And Free is wonderfully written - it's a great guide to finally losing weight and keeping it off. It all makes sense! I would encourage anyone that has an issue with weight to read the book - to enlist the support offered - it's very liberating...this journey to happy, thin and free!

If you can stick to her guidelines, you WILL lose weight. If you stick somewhat close to her guidelines, you can still lose weight because I did. The most valuable things I read were in the first half of the book. I finally understand why I do certain things in regards to food. I am more than happy with the results of reading this book. What IS more important: food, or your life?

This book is amazing! So much more than a weight loss program! The Bright Line Eating concept is a way of life. The science behind every aspect is what sealed the deal for me. I now understand the part my brain plays in overeating and craving sugar and flour as well as other processed foods. I love the way Susan Peirce Thompson carefully takes the reader step by step through this new way of thinking about eating and living. This book has all the information needed to lose unwanted weight, and then takes it many steps further by giving you the 'tools' necessary for sustaining a right-sized body, a happy peaceful mind, and the freedom that comes from knowing you are living your best life.

OMG! Finally! Something to believe in. I TRULY way down deep in my heart believe Susan has it figured out. Never before has someone wrote a book that I am so SURE is the answer to my prayers. Been on every diet humanly possible. No really, every one! Never kept the weight off. Now I know why.
Everyone reading this that has a weight problem should immediately order this! One click and you are on your way to success. You will not regret it.
I treasure my book. And I treasure Susan. Like another woman on here said my only regret is that this came so late in my life.
This is IT. God bless Susan.

I have been an the store customer for 12 years. This is my first review in buying thousands of dollars worth of books and other goods. As a dieter, I find myself saying, "FINALLY!" As a psychologist, I am saying, "YES! FINALLY!" I hope that this is the answer for me and a million others, and I have signed up for the 14 day challenge. Thank you Susan for providing such a comprehensive guide in an easy-to-read format, with little case studies peppered in between. Love that. You are a joy and an inspiration. Keep on being unstoppable!

I have been following this protocol for 140 days and have lost 40 lbs. I am in my 70's and used to believe that weight loss was very hard for seniors. This book makes so much sense about what is going on in my brain and has given me clear directions on how to handle my food. I do not feel like I am on a diet, I am in a brain training program, learning how to live comfortably support a 50 year goal. The first few days were somewhat difficult, but the rest has been easy for me.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It has been a life-saver. I used to struggle with binge eating several years ago, and Thompson's research gave me great insight into why. This plan gives me so much peace of mind, it frees up so much mental energy and has helped me get my life back after a lifelong obsession with food. I'm 5'2" and have gone from 115 lbs to my goal of 102 in 13 weeks. This is the easiest and fastest weight loss I've ever experienced. Understanding what triggers you is a hugely important part of the program. I find I can have a cocktail or caffeinated tea from time to time, and I don't feel triggered; likewise, I can ballpark portions at restaurants and while traveling, and I don't feel concerned about it. Many readers may need to stick to the "lines" 100%, but I feel like I can adapt them somewhat into something sustainable. In any case, giving up sugar and flour has been a revelation. My twin sister is also getting great results with this program and loves it.

This book is a life changer! This is an extremely intriguing book that has the potential to transform your life. My wife and I read the book and have dedicated ourselves to Bright Line Eating. In just over a month, we each have lost just over 20 pounds. I have zero doubt that we will continue to lose weight and will keep the weight off.

I won't lie, the first couple of weeks are tough. You're breaking down old (bad) habits and building new (healthy) habits. It's important to point out that you won't be hungry while you transform your habits--I actually had to start eating more than usual.

I'm so happy we started this journey!

I have been following Bright Line Eating the last 7 weeks. I have lost 22 lbs and feel great! I have 25 lbs more to go and know I will get there with the help
of this book. I have followed other plans in the past and have never had so much success in such a short amount of time. My husband has even commented on how much easier this program has been for me. I also love that I can prepare the same meals for my family and just slightly change it to fit what I need to eat. My family has suffered in the past when I tried to lose weight and I didn’t want that to happen again.

I had gained about 50 lbs since high school. Over the past 35 years, I have tried many approaches to losing weight. I would lose weight for a while and then gain it back. My greatest weakness was sugar in all of its forms. I could quit sugar for a while but then, after a few weeks, would drift back into a sugar addiction. I wanted to get completely and permanently off sugar, not just to lose weight, but to avoid the other health problems that come with it, like diabetes. I've probably read 30 to 50 books on weight loss. My wife asked me why I read the books and then don't lose weight. This book changed everything for me, I didn't join the bootcamp, mainly because I felt I could be successful on my own and I'm not that into making a social thing out of it. Also, I didn't feel I needed to be completely hard core about it to be successful. If you have a more serious problems than I did, or if you find you can't be successful by reading the book, I would encourage you to consider the bootcamp. I have lost 20 lbs since reading the book, about 1 lb per week. I could lose faster probably but I am a little lax about some things, but not sugar. I have not a consumed a significant amount of sugar since I read the book. I have no desire to eat sweets. I have been at it now for about 16 weeks. I've so thankful that I found the key. If you have a weight problem, I strongly encourage you to buy and read this book. It can change your life for the better.

I read this book and was really impressed with it, but I balked at the notion of cutting out sugar and flour while I was juggling some serious life stuff. Then, even more serious life stuff came up involving my health. It was time to read the book again and take it seriously, especially since I'm 9 on the susceptibility scale. What I love about this book is that it is all science-based, there are no gimmicks or packaged meals or shakes or workout DVDs, it simply addresses the human + brain component of the substances we eat and our habits. It is a true endeavor to address your personal reaction/addiction to sugar and flour when both have been woven into the fiber of society and family. There are so many great points in here about how 'yes, we eat to live, but we don't need powdered donuts to live.' And, based on the neuroscience, if we waited a lifetime to resolve 'what is eating us' before we can fix what we're eating, we'd never be at our healthiest weight. Following this method has given me freedom to eat real food, manage my insatiable hunger and cravings, and make peace with food. I'm still facing what it is like to be addicted to flour and sugar - one day at a time. I'm happy to report that I'm half-way to my goal weight after completing the boot camp and maintaining communication with the online group and my mastermind group. The social component of adult learning and transforming behaviors is so important! When I add up all of my failed attempts at weight loss over the last 20 years, the boot camp cost is a drop in the bucket, and I am convinced that there is no other way to heal my brain from my bad food habits, and create genuine health for myself using food as medicine. BLE is keeping me out of the doctor's office, off of costly meds, and lighter on my feet than ever. Priceless!

Love Dr. Thompson have been a follower of hers for 2 years. Eagerly anticipated her book. It is all she promised it would be. However, I believe if you have lived life yo-yo dieting, or a disordered eating lifestyle, including eating disorders, this book is probably best used w/a good support system, or Dr. Thompson's Bright Line Eating program.(This is not a paid endorsement. I believe weight -loss is more than a food or exercise plan. This book is about a plan for ending the weight - loss roller coaster that many of us have been on. It can help the person with zero pounds or hundreds of pounds to shed. Use this book to help with changing your eating behaviors for the better. Realize that change is difficult, and changing years of disordered eating may be difficult but is do-able, especially if done with a reliable support base.) Blessings

The author is an engaging writer and speaker and sincerely believes what she promotes. She does back up her program with research. Having said that, she goes to great lengths to prove her theories and translates her own issues and struggles with drug addiction and projects that onto everyone else with the premise that we are all pretty much food addicts. The 5 question susceptibility quiz is designed to make everyone believe they have a problem with food addiction. Her dietary plan is a culmination and rewording of multiple diet plans including one from the American Heart Association from the mid 1980s and tweaks it by taking away flour and sugar and restricts carbs to morning and lunch meals. She does have good ideas for structure and weekly meal plans. It’s kind of a traditional diet mixed with gluten-free, keto/paleo, and restricting sugars. While it is meant to help control cravings having non-grain starchy foods still elevates blood sugar and encourages spikes and drops.

There really isn’t anything new here.

This book is beautifully written, if you have struggled with your weight and wondered why; Susan outlines the science in a way I have never experienced. There are strong scientific reasons! She walks you through exactly how to break the cycle. I have struggled with weight most of my adult life. I have lost 70 pounds following this plan and the big change for me is that I am free of the yoyo and cravings. I have continued not to eat foods that cause addictive responses for a year and continue to feel free NOT eating them. If you have tried it all, read this book and give this a few weeks.

Susan Pierce Thompson has to be congratulated. This book is brilliantly written. Susan's research has provided compelling insight into the epidemic of dieting, overeating and food compulsion. I am personally grateful that years of yoyo eating has been replaced with a sensible and sustaining food plan. Susan's honesty and simple narrative of her own food journey will touch many.
This book will revolutionize the diet industry. It is life changing.

This program is life transforming. I completed the October 2016 bootcamp and I am finally in my right sized body. I have tried countless diet programs and ways of eating. NOTHING worked. Bright Line Eating delivers everything it says it will. I am now happy, thin and free. I did all of the changes. I followed the Bright Lines and I incorporated all of the supplemental parts of the program (meditation, journaling, writing a gratitude list etc...). These three components are life changers. The Bright Line Eating book is superbly written, carefully constructed and backed by science and research. The program is amazing and it works. I highly recommend everyone to read this book and I highly recommend everyone to join a BLE bootcamp. The book can be a standalone to lead you into healthy living, however, the BLE bootcamps are fantastic. Susan Pierce Thompson delivers a sound program backed by science. Read this book, your body and health will thank you.

I bought this book after reading a magazine article about Bright Line Eating. Anyone who follows such a rigid, restricted eating plan indefinitely---as suggested in the book---would have to develop a severe eating disorder.

It reads like an infomercial....all directing to her website, boot camp and products. I far prefer and recommend The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung. The Bright line eating in one (long sentence) : Cut all flour and sugar, stick to three meals, track food quantity. It is written towards food addicts and embraces a 12 step recovery. I am glad I only paid $1.99 and didn't learn anything new.

This is a great book. It really addresses why all other diet books don't let you lose the weight and sustain it for a lifetime. It gets you to your right sized body depending on how closely you adhere to the 4 bright lines (do not cross) rules. It gives a scientific reason why we have cravings. It addresses the issue as an addiction to sugar and flour which needs to be eliminated for the brain to heal. It is an easy read book. Simple structure. Once you start internalizing and living it, you don't have to really think about it too much. It's about changes and new habits. Susan's story frames the whole premise and is so credible. It takes into consideration that individuals are different and reactions are different. You truly see the health benefits within days and s couple of weeks if ones had chronic diseases like diabetes or arthritis. Energy levels improve, sleep
Improves. Cravings go away. It is an awesome book. I highly recommend it

Overpowering cravings, insatiable hunger, and so many failed attempts over decades to permanently get and stay in a right-sized, healthy body. Why? Why was this one thing seemingly beyond my reach? I am a capable, intelligent person and successful in the other areas of my life. I had just about given up hope when I learned of the Bright Line Eating movement about a year and half ago. In this, her new book, Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson explains the science behind living happy, thin and free and why I had been unable to find lasting success in previous attempts at a right-sized body. From the book: "Insatiable hunger originates from the fact that leptin is being blocked at the brainstem, which is what drives people to mindlessly put food in their mouths all day...". That was me! I learned that it is leptin's job to tell our brains that we are full and its time to get moving. My brain was not getting that message. Dr. Thompson explains what causes leptin to be blocked at the brainstem. She also explains what happens to cause our brains to down-regulate its levels of the 'pleasure chemical', dopamine, and that this causes the overpowering cravings that ultimately derail the best intentions. "Overpowering cravings make people drive miles out of their way for that specific food-their 'fix' or wander the supermarket aisle late at night looking for 'that thing' that will hit the spot...their entire body is focused on one thing: scratching that 'itch' in their brain." In Bright Line Eating, The Science of Living Happy, Thin and Free, Dr. Thompson explains where that itch originates and more importantly what to do about it. Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson is intimately familiar with addiction and obesity and gives us a personal and engaging look into her life and what this path is which has given her success and a mission to help all of us to live happy, thin and free. With Bright Line Eating I am having success for the first time in my life and am well on the road to living happy, thin and free.

The research and information presented throughout this book is nothing short of brilliant! It will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about why we are susceptible to overeating, binge eating and addictive eating. Every page had me eager to read the next. It should challenge, excite and motivate you to BELIEVE you can truly be free from the insanity of our warped relationship with food and find a place of peace Instead. This 'science' is not a game changer ... it is a life changer! After reading the book I could not wait to participate in the BLE "14 day Challenge" ... and loving it!

Outside of my three pregnancies, I’ve never been particularly overweight. I’ve struggled with 15ish extra pounds that I’ve so desperately wanted to shed since having my third son, but I know my needed loss is minor compared to many. That said, what I have struggled with since a child is eating disorders and food addiction. Susan’s book was eye opening for me and had me in actual tears in several parts because I just couldn’t believe someone understood how warped and hopeless my relationship to food truly felt for me. I’ve been using the Bright Line system for about a month now. I’ve released 8lbs so far but I almost don’t care. The weight that has been lifted off of my shoulders eating in this way was so unexpected. My life has so much more joy in it now that I’m free of food controlling me.

Truly the first "diet" book that I have read that makes personal, medical and biological sense! It is a fabulous teaching tool on how to eat correctly and healthily throughout ones life. I have both the hard copy and the audiobook to listen to in the car and reinforce why I want to live and eat in this way. The words ring true and with backed up science. This isn't an EASY fix, which everyone looks for, it's a logical and methodic way to make your life better. I am a happy follower and withdrawal from sugar and flour aren't pleasant, but doable. The hints are helpful as well. We need a great cookbook! Enjoyed every second of this read!

I do not know how to properly review Susan Thompson's book since it is just too awesome! Let me start with... It is MUST buy for anyone who struggles with food. As I read every page my mouth drops open in shock and relief. I have been waiting 35 years for someone to explain why I can not stop eating even though I have wanted to and continue to want to for decades. It has been so painful to go through all that I have over the years. Diets, plans, promises over and over and over again. Pain, humiliation, suffering.... It is a gift from heaven to have the answers in my hand .....her book. Finally the solution has arrived. Her book as well as she is is a gift to humanity.

Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson compassionately and scientifically reveals everything I need to know to finally live happy, thin and free. The best and most successful program outside of Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous. These programs not only help you loose weight, but change your life so that you never gain it back. Much more successful program than the diet clinics. If you're tired of loosing and gaining it all back, and then some, and the cravings never going away, you've found the answer. Read, loose and be happy. And if you can't afford this program visit FoodAddicts.org. Its the free program BLE is based on.

I love the science of BLE!

This is the most comprehensive detailed self discovery helpful book. Susan Pierce Thompson takes you through the psychology and science of food addiction. She gives a straightforward and no nonsense plan for getting weight off and keeping it off. The Bright Lines are easy to follow, if you are really ready to get off the diet roller coaster once and for all. I like that although she discusses the elements of the program that come at a cost, you CAN be successful reading , then following the approaches clearly laid out in this book, downloading free supports detailed in the book, getting the app, watching her free You Tube videos, following her blog and committing to the program. I have lost 17.5 lbs in 11 weeks, but only 5 weeks ago I discovered her you tube videos, which led me to this book. I have never been more sure I will succeed with continued efforts for ridding 55 total lbs. forever. I respect the fact that you can do it with the book, or opt for her programs for a higher lever of support. Susan Pierce Thompson is the real deal and quite emphatically I know this is the last weight loss program I will ever need. Thank you!!

Incredible book and program. So much great information with science to back it up. I started it saying I was only going to do it for 2 weeks to see if I could go that long without sugar and now I am on day 35 with no sugar and no flour! I am so amazed at how easy it was and how it really did change my brain to not crave those foods. Don't know how long I will continue taking it day by day, and today I commit to not eating sugar or flour. This is a must read for any sugar addicts out there. Whether you are wanting to lose weight or not, getting off sugar is such a healthy thing to do for your body.

This book should be a required reading for anybody trying to lose weight.
If you need to read one book on this subject (out of tens of thousands on the store) - read this one.
The author comes from a very deep understanding of the subject and from many years
of practical work helping herself and many others to lose weight - and to keep it off long term.
Amazing book.

Outstanding book and will do doubt bring hope of a lasting solution to many others - it did for me! Even though I've been following Bright Line Eating for several months and watching Susan's weekly vlogs, the book has given me more in depth information and new insights. Getting used to not eating sugar or flour and not eating in between meals was difficult at first. Now, I don't even crave sweets and I used to eat them until I felt sick! The only thing I haven't done is measure the quantities of my food (I prefer to "eyeball" it) and I've still lost 35 pounds since I started this journey. I know that to lose another 15-20 pounds, I'll need to pay closer attention to quantities. I love that Susan explains the science behind a food addict's mind and does it in a warm and engaging way that's easy to understand. If you can stop after 2 cookies - and moderation works for you - then this book isn't for you. However, if 2 cookies turn into 8 or 9 (in one sitting), your cravings are constant, and you can never get enough sweets/carbs, then a radical approach is in order. Bright Line Eating works! It's not a diet, but a way of eating that takes the insanity out of it. Thank you, Susan, for throwing us all a life preserver. You're the best!!

This book is the real deal. Of course, success depends on whether or not you actually follow the plan but Susan does a fantastic job of detailing out the research that was done and all of our brain processes around food that can cause us issues. The second half of the book details the plan. It is very straight forward and bright line eating has a small cult following. Check out Facebook of lots of 'unofficial' groups and consider joining a 14 day challenge or boot camp. The extra information and support is worth it. I have suggested this book to more than a handful of friends and every one of them loved it and is now following the plan!

This eating plan works. I've tried everything to lose weight i.e. Weight Watchers, Atkins, Eat To Live, Keto, Marathon Training and this was the only thing that actually worked for me. The book makes sense. I was able to lose weight after menopause. I have lost 8 pounds so far and I only have more 3 pounds to reach my goal weight. The best thing is that I am not starving and I feel satisfied. I am looking very forward to reaching my goal so that I can go on maintenance - I will get to eat whole grains during every meal.

Good concepts, but the book lacks enough information to succeed on your own. After reading the book, you find out that you need to spend about $1000 to actually do the program - especially for a program that you are not sure you will succeed at - is not right!

If you've ever struggled with binge eating this book will help you understand why it happens and give you tools to break the cycle. I bought this book looking for some weight maintenance guidance and have been struggling a little bit to accept the harsh prescription of adopting the bright lines eating recommendations. However, I still found the information extremely useful and empowering and appreciated the author's tone of compassion. I am working on adapting some of the bright line eating patterns and enjoying the inspiring videos posted on the website. I learned some new strategies and approaches that I believe will help me finally begin to maintain my weight rather than gain it all back again within six months.

What a liberating read! Like many other readers, I have a rather large collection of self help books, with a large subset of them being those that address ways to lose weight or eat better. This is a book that covers the cognitive brain science of how and why our brains can block weight loss attempts as well a very detailed presentation of a Bright Line System of living and eating to successfully get past those natural brain behaviors.

Thompson explains the brain science in a thoroughly engaging and easily comprehensible fashion exploding several myths many of us have believed about overeating and weight loss. Things like the the Willpower Gap, that exercise doesn’t actually help with weight loss and that people really are different in how they react to the most addictive foods (Susceptibility Scale).

The initial chapters led me through a deeper understanding of the ways in which our brains block us from releasing weight. Then the latter chapters spell out exactly how to use the Bright Line System to break away from old behaviors and how to keep the brain from blocking efforts to obtain successful long term weight loss. Each chapter also includes a look at a real person who has used the Bright Line System to reach and maintain their weight loss goals - or as Thompson terms it - to live Happy, Thin & Free.

Pros - Well researched neuroscience about how the brain blocks weight loss
- An explicit plan for how to achieve weight loss inspite of our brains
- An explicit plan for how to maintain weight loss once achieved

Cons - You still have to shop and cook your own food - no magical way around that!

All in all a very thorough and well written book that offers a new approach, with the blend of cognitive brain science, and a detailed, structured program with historical roots in 12-Step food programs. Thompson personally knows her subject matter, both the brain science and the food addiction aspect. If moderation, calorie counting, or various other “diets” haven’t worked for you, this book could offer the answer to why those methods haven’t worked and also offer a real system that will work. I personally gave a deep sigh on learning that I am not just a weak willed person, that there actually is a ‘kink’ in my brain and even better, there is a way to work around it.

What amazed me most about this book is the author. Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson has truly started a healthy lifestyle revolution which can be maintained and followed for life!

Her life story, knowledge and educational background are impressive. A Professor at Rochester University (Brain and Cognitive Sciences). Direct background in neuroscience and addiction research. What compelled me to give it a try – was Susan. Loved hearing the story of all the challenges as a food addict and how she achieved success and handles it on a daily basis. The secret of how she has kept her goal weight for 10 years. Wow! Reading and understanding that food addiction- sugar and flour were my issue too- that I had never addressed! I was so excited and started program and never looked back. It has been the best LIFE CHANGING and HEALTH DECISION I have ever made!

Like many of us have tried so many diets and exercise programs and lost weight- only to gain it back! This is the only time in my life that I have been without sugar and flour for months and have stayed with a program and been successful. Since adopting this lifestyle, I have lost weight, fat and inches and best of all – my blood levels are now normal without medication! I am Happy and Free and on my way to Thin!

What I loved most about the book -Bright Line Eating: The Science of Living Happy, Thin & Free is how it was so well written! I was able to visualize her and it was like she was talking to me directly as a well-intentioned friend! It is simple and easy to read and follow book.

Beware! This is not a diet book- but a lifestyle change based on creating healthy daily habits for success- one day at a time. Excellent book! It's a real eye-opener that shows exactly what happens in the body when you are addicted to certain foods like sugar and flour. There is a clear plan on how to lose weight and get healthy. I feel like many people would be able to follow this way of eating, and it would help make habits out of eating the best foods for the body. I recommend this book as a great encouragement to lead the life we are meant to live.

I've tried Dr. Atkins, Weight Watches, South Beach Diet, Nutrí System,The Protein Diet, Peanut Butter Diet, Rice Diet etc... I've never been successful at any diet until I was fortunate enough to have discovered Bright Line Eating. My energy level is high, my arthritis is almost nonexistent. I'm 54 years old and didn't think I would ever feel normal again. I've lost 25 lbs in 2 1/2 months and plan to lose another 20 lbs. It's the easiest Diet I've ever done.

I was a skinny kid...finicky eater, and ran around unleashed as a free rein child. In my late 20's early thirties I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I have always been a tee-toatler having watched so many in my family drink hard and fast. Well now in my 50's as an empty nester managing an intense job as a program director at a University, I find me weight has creeped up to 'HEAVY" category. This book has set me on a new course and I am just two days into the challenge, but the support and structure of the program is EXACTLY what I need. God Bless you Susan. You are my new best friend and I am so grateful to you for your hard work and dedication to the research behind this approach. My sincere and profound thanks.

In recent years, a lot has been written about the food industry in the U.S. and its seeming co-conspirator the diet industry. A look at any list of ingredients on any food or diet product makes it clear that these industries are working to get and keep customers addicted to something called "food."

Bright Line Eating shows how food which is supposed to benefit human beings has become the cause of much psychological and physical shame and suffering. It shows clearly how the human brain has been affected by modern food and what can be done about it.

The book's combination of biographical openness and scientific clarity makes it very readable, understandable, and helpful. It is a cousin to Wheat Belly, another very helpful book for those who are tired of trying and failing to have a healthy relationship with food. Both books are packed with science, and both are eye-openers, but where Wheat Belly is the wise uncle, Bright Line Eating is the best friend.

I highly recommend this approach to losing weight and getting to "right sized body." In less than a year I've gone from intractable obesity to "normal" BMI for my height. I am down six sizes! The program's scientific foundation, described in the first part of the book, makes it credible; living it proves it works. I'm convinced it's the key to sustainability and fully expect to stay at a healthy weight, not go back to overweight, for the rest of my life. Am very grateful for this program and for all the support, friendships, and self-knowledge it has given me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I appreciate that Susan has a Ph.D. in neuroscience. The beginning of the book focuses on the science behind eating and eating's impact on the brain. I have found this to be very helpful in understanding why I sabotage myself over and over with my eating. As someone who has struggled with weigh all of my life, reaching 365 pounds at one point, I have tried a bizillion different ways to lose weight. This gives me hope to continue with the weight loss I've started via Susan's boot camp. I'm down to 287 pounds so far and enjoying my life very much. I look forward to being happy, thin and free.

I thought to myself - are you really going to buy another diet book? So glad I did. I had taken the last year to be on an eat fat get thin diet and learned sooooo much about healthy foods, but I lost very little weight and was very disappointed. Someone on their Facebook community mentioned they were losing weight on the Bright Line way of eating, so I decided to give dieting one more try and bought the book. It really spoke to me and I realized I am definitely not alone in the crazy world of trying to lose weight. It seems as if there is someone new every day trying to tell us that they have the answer, yet they don't. I am so glad for this book that makes me feel as it was written specifically for me about my life as a fat person.
