I've really enjoyed this series - the characters feel like family and each book is a new adventure. I think of the series "Jericho" sometimes and see that this series would make a great TV miniseries.

What will happen next? Guess we have to wait and see........

What could happen if a catastrophe hit America? The fifth in a series by A American follows Morgan and his family and friends found along the chaotic journey as they fight to preserve their new normal. Along the way they face hunger, the animalistic drive of human predators, and a conflagration that threatens to wreak havoc on the toe hold of civilization they have carved out for themselves. At times the story is shocking to the senses, but what would you do to preserve your world when everything has been torn apart. If you enjoy apocalyptic literature then Resurrecting Home deserves a spot on your reading list.

I like how the author built the characters and has kept them true. Plausible story line with no superheroes keeps my interest. Though Sarge's groups is close, they are not invincible. Good editing. See you in the next book.

5th in the "Home" series, this is an excellent story of how a group of neighbors and friends tackle and overcome the challenges they face, when life in the this country radically changes. It can be read on it's own, but as a continuation from the prior 4 books, it's even better! Makes a person think seriously, about what they would do in that situation - and what skills and knowledge are necessary to survive it, with their humanity intact.

They should make this book series in to tv series. I wish the language was cleaner so my kid's could read them as well. This 5 book series has shown me how unprepared I am even if a small situation came up. This series is a must read. It was funny, sad and eye opening and waning more. loved it.

Another one of those SHTF stories that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Given current headlines in the news, makes one wonder if we won't actually go down this path. Educational as well as entertaining.

This whole series was excellent and although for the time being is fictional, made me really start thinking about very real possibilities! I wish everyone would read this series and wake up & smell the roses about current events.

A well written continuance of the EMP into the dark ages series... Don't start reading this book at night if you have to work the next day.... because you will read into the wee hours of the morning before you know it.

I love all of A. American's books... terrific SHTF material and hard to put down. They are among the BEST of this genre. Worth the money... fun characters in the midst of not-so-fun scenarios. Just remember, it is fiction...

Wow. This series just keeps the excitement coming. Whomever "A American", the author of this great survival after apocalypse yarn is, he sure knows how to tell a great story. As I read along, the attention to detail, and the true believability actually swept me away...I was right there fighting the fires and struggling against the evil that humankind can stoop to, given the right circumstances-- right along with Morgan and his friends as they continue their ongoing fight for survival after an EMP puts the peel of the United States back into the dark ages. Gordon and his group were more prepared than most people before the disaster, but it's the group's tenacity to remain human --to stand up for what's right, even though it is MUCH harder than just taking the easy way out...to just forget about common decency and revert back to an animal that is so compelling.. In this latest story, Gordon and his group (along with Sarge and his squad) have successfully rescued Jess, Frank, and others from the cruel, prison-like camp run by the "authority gone rogue" of the DHS. It's like poor Gordon can't get a break; He makes his way home after a harrowing trip, he fights to keep his family and friends safe from marauding groups, he helps save his friends from certain death at the hands of sadistic people that are supposed to be helping people, not torture and abuse them...and now, Mother nature wants a crack at making things worse! Much worse.

The story continues to roll along at a good pace. I enjoy were the author is taking the story. It will be very interesting to see what happens next. I think we might have to worry about a hurricane.??? I am looking forward to the next book.

Enjoyed this entire series. This final book wraps up the storyline. Without spoiling it will say it leaves our characters happy and safe for now in a good place, ready for the next step whatever that brings.

Another good book in this series. I liked this better than the forth book. It seemed to get back on track and take a more focused direction with purpose. If you have enjoyed this series this is well worth the time to read.

I love this series of books. Great characters and plot and good realistic conversation. They make you think you'd better start learning how to grow your own food, make your own soap and live without grocery stores.

The characters became friends throughout this series. The realistic scenarios of what happens when disaster strikes gives you plenty of food for thought and motivation to start preparing for "what ifs!"

another fun book from this author. I have enjoyed the entire series and would be keen to see if the author can come up with a few new stories.

I think this is a great series to open friends or families eyes to potential in this country. Gives in an accurate depiction of what could transpire after an EMP event that cripples a developed nation.

This is an enjoyable story. However this last book seemed abit like a 'paus'. Character development has happened some in the series, but not further in this one. Its a book worth reading but I hope for some more in the future book(s) of the series. Id rather have a shorter series with quality than a long series with books that deserve more.
Thanks

I love this series. Hands down my favorite. I mostly read nonfiction, however when a buddy of mine recommend it I couldn't help but be interested. It has realist scenarios and talks about real equipment and why it's used. Brilliant.
