New favorite book of the year I think... at least thus far! The writing was amazing, the story was unforgettable, the characters were dynamically played out. Thank you so much CC Hunter for this amazing book! XOXOXOXO!!!

Good book keeps u on your toes. Although the main character can get annoying with her inability to really six it up and deal with things it reflects young girls in ability to really fit in mass belong and hoe the smallest decisions to the worst can change it life and set it in motion.

The book is about a girl, her parents are getting divorced, the boyfriend broke up with her, and on top of that she is sent to a camp for troubled teens. Shadow Falls camp turns out to be a camp for mythical creatures, though. And suddenly her world is turned upside down, where nothing is what it seems. Is she really one of those freaks?
I did not like the book, the characters where pale and boring, lacking originality. The plot was uninteresting and minor. The four-hundred pages where to long, it got boring and you lost track of the plot. The book was nicely written though. What annoyed me most was the lead character, I can't even remember her name. She complained and whined all through the book. She was also a hypocrite and a self obsessed bitch, putting it nicely. She made out with at least three guys and accused her beast friend of being a slut when doing the exact same thing. There was only a small side plot at the ending, I swear three-hundred-eightyfive pages where only about her leading on guys, complaining about her life, denying her being a mythical creature and worrying about a friend who, by the way, is not even mentioned the rest half of the book and won't show up in later books. For me this is a bad book. It was boing and well, just annoying and hard to finish.
I would recommended this book to someone who finds love triangles interesting, annoying leads fanny and would take the time to read a four-hundred pages book, simply about a girl running after boys. Otherwise I advise you to turn away. But don't take my word for granted because there are lots of people who like this book out there. So I say try it out before you set your opinion, this is just my opinion :)

I would definitely recommend this book. It is very good. I couldn't put it down! Kylie is trying to figure out who she really is at the camp and she has a lot of adventures and shocks getting there. She also is stuck in a love triangle. This book is so addictive I'm reading the next one as soon as possible!

This book seems like a Twilight Wanna be....teen has crush on werewolf and other supernatural...cant decide who to pick....one is calm and makes her feel safe....blah blah blah
However, The story dragssssssss and draggggssssssssssssss.....you get to the end and you still don't have any answers. I think the author was so busy worrying about a sequel that they didnt think to finish the first book. I am bummed because it had the setting for a GREAT story.....

This book had an interesting premise, and I enjoy some YA books, but the writing style and dialogue felt much younger than the topics in the book. About 1/3 of the way through, I stopped reading. It left me with a golly-gee-whiz kind of feeling, and the characters were just too topical to enjoy. Since I have no desire to see how the story continues, I'm giving it a 1 star.

Loved reading the book. I couldn't put them down. The characters draw you in and each book keeps you wanting more. C.C. Hunter has done a wonderful job with the books. I laughed, cried and so much more. Wish I could give more then five stars.

It was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! Kylie is frustrated with everything that's going on, including everything from boy trouble to finding out that not only is she a supernatural, no one can figure out what exactly she is.

Fairly typical book in the context of this genre of books. Likable characters and leaves you wanting to read the next one to find out who/what she is.
The writing isn't spectacular, but not terrible either. I will finish the series.
